SBC Explained

SBC, or Squad Building Challenges, is a gameplay mode in Football Club 26 that tests your squad-building skills through a variety of challenges — all in exchange for valuable rewards.

In SBCs, you’re tasked with building squads that meet specific requirements, using players from your Club or those acquired via the Transfer Market.

Some SBCs contain multiple segments, each offering individual rewards, plus a bonus reward for completing the entire group. Others are standalone. Certain SBCs can be repeated multiple times or come with no entry limits, while some refresh on a regular schedule.

How to Submit a Squad
  1. From the main Ultimate Team screen, select Squad Building Challenges.
  2. Choose the challenge you want to complete — they’re grouped by category.
  3. Review the requirements: These are shown on the right side of the screen once you start building your squad.
  4. Build your team: Use players from your Club or the Transfer Market to meet criteria such as Player Quality, Chemistry, Rating, Nationalities, Leagues, or Clubs. (Note: substitutes, reserves, and managers do not count.)
  5. Submit your squad: Once all requirements are fulfilled, submit the team to claim your reward.

All SBC submissions are final — once submitted, the players are permanently removed from your Club. In return, you can earn rewards such as packs, coins, draft tokens, and other valuable items.

The first SBCs you should tackle are the Basic ones. These introductory challenges are designed to teach you the fundamentals while offering valuable pack rewards. SBCs in Football Club 26 are available daily from the start. They come in two forms: permanent challenges you can complete at any time, and time-limited challenges with an expiration date. To earn rewards from the latter, you must complete and submit them before they expire. If a time-limited challenge expires before submission, any players used in the squad will be returned to your Club.
It depends. Most of the challenges can only be submitted once. However, you can submit a selection of SBCs as often as you want or a specific number of times.
When you first access Squad Building Challenges, a tutorial will guide you through your initial challenge group. Once completed, you’ll be free to explore and complete the many other challenges available to keep progressing.
Here are the steps to earn unique rewards in Squad Building Challenges:
  1. Check the Requirements
When starting a Squad Building Challenge, review the requirements listed on the right side of the screen. These must be met to earn the rewards.

  2. Create a Squad
Build your squad using player cards from your club. You can also search the Transfer Market if necessary. Utilize unwanted cards for SBCs. Ensure your squad meets all specified requirements. Substitutes, reserves, and managers are not considered.

  3. Submit your Squad and Earn Rewards
Once you’ve confirmed that all requirements are met, submit your squad to receive special rewards.
Please pay close attention to this important point: once you use items in Squad Building Challenges, you cannot retrieve them. Therefore, carefully consider the players you choose, as all player items included in the challenge will be forfeited when you submit your team.
You can apply SBC Protection to players in your Club to prevent accidentally submitting key players into a Squad Building Challenge. If you try to submit a player with SBC Protection enabled, a confirmation prompt will appear before proceeding. Additionally, there’s an option to exclude Active Squad members from Club search results, making squad building and SBCs easier.

No. Formations are locked for each challenge.
Completing Challenges and Groups grants access to various rewards. Individual challenges yield rewards such as packs, coins, player items, and kits, while completing groups unlocks even greater rewards, such as unique player items.
Depending on the challenge, they can be tradeable or not.
You receive the rewards as soon as you submit an individual challenge or complete a group of challenges.
Some Challenges are repeatable. Each time you submit the Squad, you have a chance to receive different rewards, but there is also a possibility of receiving a repeat reward.
Some FC SBCs include multiple challenges within larger groups, called Groups. Completing each challenge within a Group rewards you with individual prizes, and finishing the entire Group unlocks additional in-game rewards. Therefore, it’s advantageous to complete multiple challenges in a set to unlock these extra group rewards.
Here are some tips to help you spend as little as possible when completing an SBC:
  • Don’t Discard
Avoid discarding your bronze and silver player cards until you’ve completed the initial challenges.
  • Check the Chemistry
Use concept players, the companion app, or external squad builder websites if you’re unsure about your team’s chemistry.
  • Only Do the Minimum Requirement
Stick to the minimum requirements to unlock rewards—you don’t need to do more than necessary.
  • Avoid Sacrificing Good Cards
Try not to use high-value cards, as they can’t be retrieved unless found in packs or on the transfer market. Use unwanted cards to fill out your squad.
  • Focus on the Rating
Player stats don’t matter for SBCs, so use lower-rated players to save coins. Look for the cheapest players for each overall rating.
  • Use Loyalty to Complete Hybrid SBCs
Loyalty can provide a chemistry boost, which is especially helpful for hybrid SBCs.
  • Don’t Copy Squads from Other Players
Avoid using squads from popular websites like FUTBin and FUTgg, as their prices tend to rise once widely followed.
  • Do Your Homework
Before starting a challenge, compare the cost of completing it with the value of the reward to assess whether it’s worth it.
Squad Building Challenge cards are unique untradeable items that players can get exclusively by completing specific challenges. They can not be found in packs or on the transfer market.
