Ten Things to Do

  • Use your Coin Bonuses
Don’t forget to use your coin bonuses! These bonuses are incredibly valuable early in the year and can help you sign some marquee players. As usually, you can find these items in Seasons rewards.

  • Do your Research on SBCs
Squad Building Challenges can either drain your coins or be a fantastic way to earn more. Some league SBCs, in particular, often guarantee a profit with the chance of a great pull. Don’t be afraid of SBCs – just make sure to do your research, and you might hit a gold mine!

  • Learn in Defeat
Rage quitting when losing, especially by a large margin, is tempting but avoid it. It’s not fair to your opponent, and it negatively affects your DNF% (Did Not Finish percentage), reducing the coins you earn in future matches. Instead, use defeats as learning experiences. Analyze your mistakes, and you will improve, leading to more wins and more fun.

  • Sell Your Players at Peak Price
Maximizing your coins involves selling players at their peak price. Don’t get greedy for a small profit and risk missing out on a larger one. Play it safe, make a profit, and consistently apply this strategy to earn more coins.

  • Watch Tutorials, Learn What’s Op
Watching tutorials can help you learn new game mechanics and improve your skills. Check out Twitch streams of better players and YouTube tutorials for sound advice. You might discover techniques that significantly enhance your gameplay.

  • Find a Style that Suits You
While it’s useful to learn from the pros, don’t try to replicate their style exactly. Pros have their own play style that suits their skill level. Instead, find what works best for you and build on that. It will lead to more enjoyment and better performance.

  • Build a Well-Balanced Team
Ensure your squad is well-balanced, with both attacking and defensive players. Include a playmaker to dictate play and a strong enforcer in midfield. A balanced team will improve your gameplay and lead to more success.

  • Pace your Champions Games Out
Playing 20 games in a day will not yield your best performance. Pace your games, take breaks, and stay hydrated to maintain a clear head. You’ll perform better against quality opposition if you don’t overextend yourself.

  • If you are Going to Buy FC Points, Do it Early
You are more likely to make more coins early in the game. Players worth 2,000 coins early on can later be worth 10k to 22k. Spend your FC points early to maximize your coin earnings.

  • Have a Plan to Your Team
Having a plan for your team will save you coins and help you achieve your goals faster. While your plan may change, sticking to a general strategy will provide structure and efficiency in building your squad.

Ten Things to Not Do

  • Don’t Keep Swapping the Team Around
It’s tempting to rebuild your team every time a new, exciting player is released. However, constantly changing your team means losing 5% in EA tax and potentially losing value on your players. If you’re eager to try a new player, consider using them as a substitute first to avoid unnecessary team overhauls.

  • Don’t Do Every SBC
While Squad Building Challenges can be a great addition, many are coin sinks rather than investments. Only complete SBCs if you’re certain you want the player. Otherwise, you’re likely wasting coins on players you won’t use much, depleting your long-term resources.

  • Don’t Do Rage Quit Games
Quitting in anger can cost you more than just a match. You might miss out on an epic comeback and damage your DNF (Did Not Finish) modifier, costing you valuable coins in the long run. Stay calm and fight until the end – you might surprise yourself!

  • Don’t Invest All Your Coins in One Player
Investing all your coins in one player is risky. If they don’t perform as expected or don’t get the predicted in-form card, you could lose a lot of coins. Diversify your investments to minimize potential losses and maximize gains.

  • Don’t Send Toxic Messages
Sending toxic messages not only tarnishes your reputation but can also get you banned from the game. Stay cool and treat others with respect. If you struggle with this, consider disabling messaging for those not on your friends list.

  • Don’t Tilt
Playing while angry or stressed (tilting) scientifically reduces your performance. Your brain focuses on the negative emotions, diminishing your gameplay effectiveness. Accept that sometimes you’ll face better players or unlucky situations, and stay relaxed to perform at your best.

  • Don’t Go All Out on Attack at 1-0 Down
Panicking and going all-out attack after conceding a goal often leads to more mistakes and goals against you. Stay composed and stick to your natural game. You have plenty of time to turn things around without risking defensive stability.

  • Never Waste Your Coins on Packs
While it might be tempting to buy packs, the odds are stacked against you. Rarely will you make your coins back, and more often, you’ll lose a significant amount. Be smart with your coins and avoid the pack gamble.

  • Don’t be Lazy with Transfers
Overpaying for players due to laziness adds up quickly. If you lose 5,000 coins a day by not searching for better prices, you could be down nearly 500,000 coins in three months. Don’t let laziness cost you valuable resources – shop smartly!

  • Don’t Save Up Your Coins All Year Without Using Them
Ultimate Team is a year-long cycle, but most players don’t play the full 12 months. Even if you play for six months, hoarding coins for a significant portion of that time means you’re not fully enjoying the game. Use your coins to enhance your experience regularly and avoid wasting time saving them for too long.
