FC 25 Assignments

The previous Roles screen in Team Management was renamed in Football Club 25 to Assignments. Here you can pre-designate the team captain, the players responsible for set-pieces, and the key players for corner kicks:

  • Captain;
  • Left Short Free Kick;
  • Right Short Free Kick;
  • Long Free Kick;
  • Penalties;
  • Left Corner;
  • Right Corner;
  • Corner: Target Player;
  • Corner: Near Post;
  • Corner: Back Post.
FC 25 assignments are only assigned to the starting eleven players. If you make a substitution, the player who comes in will not follow the assignment of the player who goes out. The same player can perform more than one role.

How to Set Up FC 25 Assignments
  1. From the main Ultimate Team screen, press R1/RB three times to select [Club];
  2. Select [Squad];
  3. Press L3 to popup [Squad Actions];
  4. Select [Team Management];
  5. Press R1/RB once to go to the [Assignments] tab;
  6. Make the desired changes and save.
Prior to kick-off, you can adjust player assignments by navigating to Edit Lineup > Squad Actions > Assignments. Even during a match, you can pause the game to make changes.

The game automatically saves your last configuration, eliminating the need to set it up each time you play. Additionally, you can configure assignments via game plans and access them from the D-Pad.

The Auto-Assign feature, which automatically selected the best players for each role based on their attributes, is no longer available in FC 25.
