Server Status

There are mainly three reasons why you may be unable to connect to the FC 25 servers:

  • The EA servers are down;
  • The platform servers are down;
  • There is a scheduled maintenance ongoing.
If you were kicked out of matches or are unable to connect, you need to check the server status to know if you can do anything to fix it or when everything will be back to normal.

How To Check the PlayStation Servers Status
  1. Go to the PlayStation website;
  2. Select the region of your account;
  3. Check if ‘Gaming and social’ is green.
How To Check the Xbox Servers Status
  1. Go to the Xbox website;
  2. Click in ‘Multiplayer gaming’ and ‘Games & gaming’;
  3. Check if they are all ‘up and running’ (green).
If platform and EA servers are both up and you still can’t access the game, check if a scheduled maintenance is listed on our dedicated page. If it is not, then the problem may be on your connection.

FC 25 Game Data Centers

When engaging in P2P online matches in FC 25, your gaming experience depends on both your connection and your opponent’s. Playing against someone with a poor Wi-Fi connection can affect the overall gameplay, as both players exchange essential game data over the same connection.

Contrastingly, utilizing a game data center (Football Club servers) for online play offers the advantage of centralized data distribution to all participating players. The game and the data center synchronize inputs at predefined intervals, and the data center then disseminates this information to all players simultaneously. Although individual players may experience variations based on their connections, the collective gameplay remains unaffected.

For instance, if a player with a weak Wi-Fi signal and streaming high-resolution content experiences disruptions, it won’t impact others in the match. The game data center ensures consistent data distribution at the scheduled intervals.

In FC servers, the server serves as the match host, overseeing the distribution of gameplay information to all players. In contrast, a P2P match designates one of the players as the host.

Frequently Asked Questions
EA Football Club servers may experience downtime due to various reasons. High traffic can overload the servers, leading to service interruptions. Additionally, scheduled maintenance is common to address faults within FC 25. Unforeseen circumstances, such as critical issues demanding immediate attention, can also prompt server outages.

EA works with industry-leading enterprise technology partners when it comes to game data centers and looks to place game data centers in high-population areas with quality technology vendors.

Before implementing a new game data center, EA carefully analyzes the long-term effects it would have on the players in the surrounding region since simply adding more doesn’t automatically result in a better player experience.
FC 25 will attempt to match you with the best game data center for online matches, aiming for proximity, but this is not always guaranteed.

Internet service providers (ISPs) often route data across various locations, sometimes globally, due to infrastructure limitations or business decisions.

Consequently, your connection to a game data center other than the nearest one may still provide the best connection under certain circumstances. Issues with internet routing or technical problems at specific game data centers can also affect the connection route.
