Each month, EA selects the top-performing La Liga players from the previous month based on outstanding individual performance data. These players are then nominated for the La Liga Player of the Month title.

The FC 26 LaLiga Player of the Month is usually announced on Fridays, exactly nine days after the nominees’ announcement.

Once the winner is officially announced, EA releases a Squad Building Challenge specifically for that player. By completing the challenge(s), you’ll earn a tradable special POTM version with boosted stats and dynamic artwork.
The first player of the month item was assigned to the award winner of October 2019, in FIFA 20.
Each season, Electronic Arts releases eight Player of the month items from LaLiga.
