Within it, the Answer the Call promo introduces dynamic special cards of players with strong World Cup chances, which upgrade based on real-life call-ups.

Upgrades trigger if selected in the final squad:

+1 OVR;
+1 PlayStyle+ (up to 3 PS+ max; if already at 3, adds a normal PlayStyle instead)

Upgrades are expected to drop in a single batch shortly after FIFA officially confirms all 26-player squads. FIFA has set May 30, 2026, as the deadline for national teams to submit their final 26-player squads to FIFA for the World Cup. In practice, most teams will announce their squads from mid to late May, after the end of major European leagues (last club match for called-up players is May 24).
