Team of the Season is one of the most anticipated events in the FC gaming community. Held annually, it celebrates the best players from various leagues worldwide, selected based on their performance throughout the season.

These special items are released in-game as part of the Team of the Season (TOTS) squads, featuring players with outstanding attributes, boosted ratings, and unique abilities. As a result, they’re among the most sought-after items in Ultimate Team.

TOTS is a tribute to the hard work and consistency of top-performing footballers and gives FC players the chance to play with some of the most elite talents in world football.

The FC 26 TOTS campaign runs for seven weeks and highlights the best players from the 2025/26 domestic league seasons across the globe.
TOTY features a team made up of players who delivered the best performances over the calendar year. In contrast, TOTS is based on individual performances throughout the football season, which usually runs from August to May, and highlights the top players from each league.
For the same player, the TOTY card has usually better stats than the respective TOTS version.
Except for the Bundesliga TOTS, all Team of the Season squads are selected by EA. The selections are curated through a collaboration between EA experts, domestic league representatives, and Stats Perform’s Opta, which provides in-depth performance data across global football. This ensures that TOTS players are chosen not just by the eye test, but also backed by detailed statistics, truly TOTS Verified.

For the Bundesliga Team of the Season, fan votes account for 40% of the final decision, while club and expert votes contribute 30% each.
TOTS Highlights are purple cards which celebrate some of the best player moments of the season across 3 distinct categories:

Goal – Players that have scored some of the most eye-catching goals throughout the season
Moment – Players that have created hair-raising moments that truly make football special
Newcomer – Players that are new to the league or have had their first truly breakout season and have truly made their mark
All TOTS players (including Honourable Mentions, Highlights and Evolutions) will have improved chemistry.
The squads from the top leagues feature 19 players, while those from other leagues include 11. In addition to these, there are 3 Highlight players available in packs and Honourable Mentions versions, which are exclusively obtainable through SBCs and Objectives.
