With EA Play (previously called EA Access and Origin Access), subscribers get early access to new and upcoming EA games, including titles from the FC, NHL, Madden, Need for Speed, and Battlefield franchises. The service includes Play First Trials, offering limited-time access to the full versions of selected games.
The FC 27 trial lets players enjoy the game exactly as they would after release. This includes playing matches, trading, and even buying FC Points, giving them a head start over others. Players can also transfer FC Points from the previous edition.
This early access lets players explore the game ahead of its official launch. If they choose to buy FC 27 afterward, their trial progress and stats carry over seamlessly. All saved data and achievements or trophies unlocked during the trial will sync with the full version once connected to the EA Servers. Players who don’t purchase the game can still use the trial until the full game launches or until the 10-hour limit is reached—whichever comes first.
The only restriction of the FC 27 Trial is its 10-hour time limit. This countdown continues even if the game runs in the background. To make the most of the trial, we suggest the following tips:
- Quit the trial completely when you are not playing
Xbox: Home > Start on FC > Quit Game
PlayStation: Close application
PC: Close the window - Use the web/companion app to trade, open packs, manage your squad, and complete SBCs and objectives;
- Avoid starting the game while it is still downloading – you will have limited features and waste your time.
FC 27 Trial Release Date
By subscribing to the EA Play program, players gain the privilege of playing FC 27 eight days before the official launch. The trial becomes available in the stores simultaneously, so changing the store region in an attempt to play it earlier is unnecessary.
The FC 27 Trial is expected to begin worldwide to wll platforms at 1 PM UK time on September 17, 2026, and, unless the trial period expires, it will continue until the game’s official launch date.
Please note that pre-downloading is not available for the trial version (unless you’ve already pre-downloaded the full game). Players who start downloading once it becomes available in the store will still need to wait around an hour to start playing, depending on their internet speed.

FC 27 Trial Download
To start playing the FC 27 trial, EA Play subscribers have to download it from the console’s store while it is available.
How To Install the FC 27 Trial
- Confirm if you are logged in with your account that is linked to EA Play;
- Go to your console’s store or library and search by ‘FC 27’;
- Select one of the editions and then select ‘Trial’. If this option is not available, try with the other edition.

An EA Play subscription offers several benefits, including Play First Trials, a library of free games, discounts (even on FC Points), and exclusive in-game rewards. For FC 27, subscribing for just one month is strongly recommended, especially if you’re planning to buy the game. The savings from the membership can offset the cost of FC 27.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you do so before the next billing cycle—monthly or yearly—you won’t be charged for the following period. Once the subscription ends, you’ll need to renew it to regain access. Renewal happens automatically, based on the duration you originally selected.

20 Hours Trial Glitch
The trial has a limit of 10 hours for each console. However, there is a glitch that lets play for 20 hours on next-gen consoles, regardless of player have made any pre-order or not.
How to Extend the FC 27 Trial to 20 Hours
- Download the FC 27 trial on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S as explained above;
- Go to the [Library] on your next-gen console;
- Select ‘FC 27’ and download the old-gen version. You will have now 10+10 hours to play. Each version will now display a different countdown timer.
