Each month, Eredivisie, in partnership with ESPN and EA Sports, identifies the standout performer in the Eredivisie from the previous month. This recognition is determined by a combination of statistical analysis (StatsPerform) and fan votes collected through the KPN Man of the Match vote (ESPN).
The chosen player is awarded the FC 25 Eredivisie Player of the Month item, featuring enhanced attributes, which can be obtained through Squad Building Challenges (SBCs).

The FC 25 Eredivisie Player of the Month is usually announced on the first Friday of the month.

Once the winner is officially revealed, EA introduces a dedicated Squad Building Challenge for that player. Upon completing the challenge(s), players are rewarded with a tradable special POTM version of the winner, featuring enhanced attributes and dynamic artwork.
The first player of the month item was assigned to the award winner of September 2021, in FIFA 22.
Each season, Electronic Arts typically unveils approximately eight Player of the Month items from the Eredivisie.
