Q: What counts as an assist?

Assist data is sourced from Stats Perform . Assists are defined as the final touch that leads to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal.

The FC 25 Fantasy event features themed dynamic items which are upgraded based on the matches played, team wins, goals, assists, and clean sheets.

Fantasy

As domestic leagues approach the final stages of the season, EA introduces a new promo showcasing dynamic items.

These unique items are initially released with an increase in rating and stats. However, each player has the potential to receive up to four upgrades, with each upgrade corresponding to a different achievement in their four domestic league matches after the event launch:

Avoid cards;
Win two matches;
Score or assist, in the case of midfielders and attacker, or clean sheets, for goalkeepers and defenders;
Club scores 10 goals.

They can still earn one last upgrade if they win a domestic title: league or cup.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Fantasy cards?

FC 25 Fantasy cards are a Special item category assigned to a selection of players, replacing their regular cards at specific times.

These cards feature rating and stat updates and have the potential for further upgrades based on titles, matches played, team wins, goals, assists and clean sheets in the upcoming four domestic league matches.

How do Fantasy items get upgraded?

Fantasy items have the chance to earn up to five upgrades based on individual and team contributions in the club’s next four domestic league matches from the promo event.

Individual:

If the player avoids being booked, they receive a +1 OVR and a 5★ SM/WF upgrade.
For attackers and midfielders, if the player scores 1 goal or provides 1 assist, they receive a new PS+ and a PS.
For defenders and goalkeepers, if the player keeps 1 clean sheet**, they receive a new PS+ and a PS.

Team:

If their current club wins two matches, they receive a +1 OVR and a new Role++.
If their current club scores 10 or more goals, one of their face stats increases to 99.
If their current club wins a domestic title (league or cup).

How do Fantasy Hero items get upgraded?

Fantasy Hero items have the chance to earn up to +1 OVR upgrades based on the performance of a specific associated former club in their next four domestic league matches starting from the promo release:

If the associated former club wins two out of four matches, they receive a *+1 OVR and a new Role++ upgrade.
If the associated former club scores 10 or more goals in those four matches, one of their face stats increases to 99.
If the associated former club wins a domestic title.

Do players have to play?

Fantasy features both team-based and individual-based upgrades. A Player Item qualifies for the ‘Win’ and ’10 goals’ upgrades regardless of their participation in the four matches.

However, they are only eligible for the ‘Goals/Assists/Clean Sheet’ upgrades if they individually achieve those scenarios in their club’s next four games.

What counts as an assist?

Assist data is sourced from Stats Perform. Assists are defined as the final touch that leads to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal.

What if a player assists and scores?

The ‘two goals or assists’ upgrade is a cumulative count, indicating that a Player Item qualifies for the +1 OVR upgrade if they score two goals, assist two times, or achieve a combination of one goal and one assist.

What counts as a clean sheet?

A clean sheet is granted to a defender or goalkeeper who doesn’t concede a goal while on the pitch and plays at least 60 minutes. If a player is substituted off before a goal is conceded, they will still meet the clean sheet upgrade condition as long as they played at least 60 minutes during the match.

When does tracking for each player item start?

Fantasy Upgrade Tracking will commence from the event’s launch. If a team plays on the same day as an item’s release, it will only be counted if the domestic league match begins after the item is released into the game.

What matches count for Fantasy tracking?

Only domestic league matches qualify for Fantasy upgrade eligibility. As previously stated, the first domestic league match tracked must kick off after the item is released.

How long they take to upgrade?

After a Fantasy player meets their upgrade requirement scenario, the corresponding player item will be updated no earlier than the following Wednesday.

What happens if a player transfers?

If a player is no longer part of the roster of the club for which their item was released, they will become ineligible to receive any further additional upgrades in the future.

How can I get one of these cards?

You can obtain a FC 25 Fantasy item through packs or the transfer market. To try your luck, visit the store to buy packs with coins or FC Points. These items can be found in any pack with player cards, including free ones, with higher chances in packs containing more players. Completing specific SBCs and objectives may also reward you with a Fantasy item.
