The Road to the Final promo celebrates with dynamic items, objectives and SBCs the knockout stage of UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League.

These special items are released featuring a starter upgrade and boost in rating and stats every time their teams meet the following conditions:

  • Win a knockout match (one-time and only for UCL);
  • Advance to the next round.

Frequently Asked Questions
Road to the Finals, commonly abbreviated to RTTF, is a Special item category assigned to a very limited selection of players, replacing their regular cards at specific times. These cards celebrate the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League Knockout Stage and can receive upgrades.
FIFA 23 RTTF items are released with a starter boost on rating and stats. They can be upgraded later if they meet specific conditions.
In addition to an initial upgrade, players also have the potential to earn additional upgrades during the Knockout Stages of UEFA club competitions:

  • Qualification
    RTTF cards are upgraded every time the team advances to the next round of their current competition.

  • First Win (UCL only)
    RTTF Items are eligible for a one-time upgrade if the club wins a knockout stage match after campaign launch.
All ‘won first match’ upgrades for RTTF Player Items are based on the first game their team plays after the item is released. This means that if a Player Item is released after their team’s first knockout match, their ‘won first match’ upgrade will be based on the result of their team’s next knockout match (even if it requires extra time or penalties).
Any earned Road to the Final Player Item upgrades will occur at the end of each week (Friday night) when a given stage has concluded:

  • February 24th;
  • March 17th;
  • April 21st;
  • May 19th;
  • June 12th;
No. Road to the Final Player Items will receive upgrades based on their club’s progress regardless of whether or not they take part in any matches.
If a player is no longer registered for the club they represent at the start of the Road to the Finals campaign they will not be eligible for additional upgrades.
If a player’s club is knocked out of any of the tournaments they will not be eligible for the qualification upgrade. This includes players who qualify for the UEFA Europa league by finishing third in their UEFA Champions League group.
If a RTTF Player Item’s first match since their release is the second leg of the Round of 16 and their club wins resulting in qualification for the next round, they’ll receive a double upgrade, a +1 In-From Upgrade for winning and a +1 In-Form Upgrade for qualifying for the Quarter Finals.
If a Player Item already has 5*WF and they reach the Final, they’ll receive a +1 In-Form Upgrade instead. Similarly, if a Player Item already has 5*SM and their club wins the Final, they’ll receive an additional +1 In-Form Upgrade instead.
The three select traits will depend on the player’s position and existing traits
You can get a Road to the Final item in the same way as any other card: in packs or on the transfer market. If you want to try your luck on packs, you can go to the store and buy them with coins or FIFA Points. They can be found in any pack with players’ cards, including free packs. Finding one of these cards is higher if you open a pack containing more player cards.

Completing specific SBCs and objectives may also reward you with an RTTF item.
