FIFA 16 Wishlist and Rumours: New Stadiums
This is the time of the year in which everyone has an opinion. Everyone dreams with the perfect FIFA. Let see what the community wants. Write in the comments section which new stadiums you would like to see in FIFA 16.
There are many FIFA 16 rumours, but most of them are fake. We picked the most reliable rumours, added our perception and share our opinion with you about the most likely FIFA 16 stadiums.
In the previous years, the most wanted stadiums were the Türk Telekom Arena, Estádio da Luz, Celtic Park and Maracanã. But none of them should be added in FIFA 16. It doesn’t mean that the new additions will not be exciting. Let’s see…
King Abdullah Sports City Stadium
Likelihood: Very High
Country: Saudi Arabia
Date: 1983 (renovated in 2014)
Capacity: 62,000 seats
Clubs: Al-Ittihad FC and Al-Ahli SC
Al-Ittihad Saudi used their official Twitter account to announce that the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium will be one of the new stadiums in FIFA 16. This may be the second ALJ Stadium in the game, showing how important is the Saudi Arabian market to EA Sports.
Stade Vélodrome
Likelihood: Confirmed
Country: France
Date: 1937 ( renovated in 2014)
Capacity: 67,000 seats
Club: Olympique de Marseille
Indeed this is not a new stadium. It was in FIFA 14 and was removed last year. It is getting back to FIFA 16, recreating all the changes because of the renovation. This addition was confirmed in the E3’s FIFA 16 trailer that you can watch here.
CenturyLink Field
Likelihood: Confirmed
Country: United States
Date: 1998
Capacity: 39,000 seats
Club: Seattle Sounders
This stadium was also confirmed in the E3’s FIFA 16 trailer. It is natural to see EA including the first north-american stadium in FIFA franchise because the american market is growing very fast and because of the new women’s football feature. Specially after the World Champion title of the women’s United States.
Borussia Park
Likelihood: Confirmed
Country: Germany
Date: 2004
Capacity: 54,000 seats
Club: Borussia Mönchengladbach
Another stadium revealed in the E3’s trailer. And probably it will not be the only Bundesliga stadium to be added.
More Stadiums
The level of detail in some of the old stadiums improved a lot in FIFA 16. The cases of the Santiago Bernabéu and the Parc des Princes are just two of many examples.
The list of the new stadiums may be larger than the four we showed to you. There is a chance to see EA Sports introducing in the game all the stadiums from La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1, just like they did last year with the Barclays PL stadiums. That would increase the level of authenticity to something never seen before. We believe that they will do it, at least, with the Liga BBVA stadiums (they have the license) and with the Bundesliga stadiums, but we will have to wait to know.
And you? Which new stadiums are in you wishlist ? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
