Team of the Week (TOTW) is a weekly Ultimate Team selection of special In-Form Player Items awarded to men’s and women’s players who delivered standout performances in eligible real-world matches. TOTW Items normally receive upgraded attributes compared with the player’s current eligible Item.
The FC 27 TOTW is released every Wednesday at 6 pm (UK time) and remains available throughout the European football season.
TOTW Items are normally available in eligible Packs for one week, until the next weekly squad is released. Items obtained through SBCs, Objectives, Player Picks or other rewards follow the conditions of that content.
TOTW Items can be obtained from eligible Packs, Player Picks and game mode rewards. Selected players may also be released through SBCs or Objectives, while tradeable versions can be purchased on the Transfer Market.
A player can receive multiple TOTW items if selected for more than one Team of the Week. These cards differ in ratings and attributes, and sometimes in position, playstyles, roles and dynamic image. The most recent version always has the highest rating.
The rating boost is always applied to the player’s latest TOTW or MOTM item, regardless of club transfers or permanent upgrades. Positions may also shift if the player excelled in a different role during the past week.

TOTW items, across all OVR tiers, can receive notable increases in key stats such as Pace or Dribbling, keeping them competitive with other content released in the same timeframe.
Some TOTW Items may use dynamic images or special card artwork. This depends on EA’s design and licensing arrangements, so dynamic imagery is not guaranteed for every player or competition.
Usually, TOTW player selections are based on performances in the domestic leagues represented in the game. However, starting in FC 26, some cards can also be released to celebrate great performances in the world’s biggest domestic and continental cup competitions (excluding UEFA competitions). These CTOTW items feature a cup icon for easy identification.

During international breaks or periods with fewer domestic fixtures, EA may select players from other eligible competitions or release alternative TOTW content. The exact competitions included may vary during the season.
