Every year, EA allows players to test the new title before it goes out, so they can give feedback about potential anomalies and suggest changes. It isn’t the final version and doesn’t include all new features and game modes, but it already gives a solid idea about what the game will look like.

Players selected for the FC 25 Beta receive an invitation to the Kick-Off, Learn to Play, Online Seasons, Co-Op Seasons, Online Friendlies, and, at least, one of the other game modes: Club (former Pro Clubs), Career Mode, and Ultimate Team. In the first days, they are limited to the game modes assigned to them, but from August 19, all game modes are unlocked, and they are free to play whatever they want.

The lucky users who get invited to test the game are required to offer feedback so that EA Sports can tweak the game and fix any last-minute bugs before the official release. They can do it in a forum created for the purpose, where the only people who have access to it are the invited registered players.

The closed beta is like a big test for the developer team, so they may ask to test something specifically. For example, in Ultimate Team game mode, players receive credits and are asked to use them to buy packs.

How to be Selected

To improve your chances of being invited, follow these steps:

Update Your Contact Preferences

Go to the EA website;
Click in the top-right avatar icon and login into your account;
Click again in your avatar and select [Account Settings];
Go to [Email Preferences] and check the box ‘Yes, email me about products, news, events and promotions consistent with EA Privacy and Cookie Policy’;
Confirm that FC 25 and Ultimate Team are both checked in the [Preferred Games] box (if you can’t see them, click on [Add More]);
Check your [Preferred Platforms];
Click on the [Update] button at the bottom of the page.

Update Your Game Tester Program

After updating your contact preferences, click in the [Community Playtesting] button;
Follow the instructions to sign up.

FC 25 Beta Code

Selected FC players, who opted in to get EA emails, will get an email at their inbox that’s linked to their EA account. Because of limited space, not everyone will get an email which includes a FC 25 Beta code.

In order to be eligible, there are a few basic requirements you have to meet:

You must be, at least, 18 years old;
You must have a PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch console;
You must have played FC 24 regularly;
You’ll need to have an Internet connection;
You’ll need to accept the User and the FC 25 Beta Agreement;
You’ll need an online connection and an active subscription to Xbox Live Gold, PlayStation Plus, or Nintendo Switch Online to play.

If you fulfilled these requirements, then you have chances to be invited. Generally speaking, the selection process is random, but you can improve your chances if you are based in the UK or North America, if you update your contact preferences, and if you participate in the game tester program , as explained before.

For some, the problem resolves by receiving an invite from another Beta tester or by resetting internet settings. However, most players are unable to access the Beta experience

In which languages is FC 25 Beta available?

It’s only available in English. That’s one of the reasons why only players from countries in which English is the native language are invited more often.

What's the size of the download?

The file you have to download is 60.58 Gb, no matter the game modes for which you have been selected.

Does the FC 25 Beta feature the database updated?

No. Generally speaking, the players and ratings used in the FC 25 Closed Beta are the ones from FC 24. Even if you find differences, it doesn’t mean that those ratings will be used on the final game release.

What happens to my FC 25 Beta progress?

No progress made on the FC 25 Beta carries over to the final game. As soon as the final version is released, everything is reset.

What's the role of the Beta in the development process?

For players, it’s their first opportunity to experience the new title, but for EA, it holds much greater significance. FC 24 is a highly complex project that amalgamates various game modes developed over the years. Different teams are responsible for specific components of the game, which may or may not be integrated into the final product based on deadlines, quality, and other economic and strategic factors. This means these teams aren’t always focused on the next title.

Comprehensive testing of the entire project is essential to ensure it functions correctly. That’s why Electronic Arts typically invites a group of volunteers to test the game. After making adjustments based on initial feedback, the Alpha version is released. The official game release occurs at the end of September, often accompanied by an update intended to rectify any issues identified after the physical copies are printed. In between all of this lies the Beta testing phase.

How to get a FC 25 Beta code?

To receive a code, you need to have been selected. Pay attention to your mailbox to see if you were invited. Only selected players can play the Beta.

When are the invitations sent?

Only players who were invited will be able to play the FC25 Beta. EA will send two batches of codes: the first on the second week of August, right before the Beta release date, and the other one two weeks later. Usually, it is available to preload for beta testers 24 hours before the opening date.

What else do I have to do to receive a code?

There is not much more you can do. Your odds aren’t higher if you live close to EA offices, played thousands of FC 24 matches or are a professional player. Game advisors cannot authorize and provide email invites if you did not receive one. Be aware that updating your contact preferences and your game test program may help but does not guarantee you an invite.

How do I download the FC 25 Closed Beta?

Before anything else you need to be invited. The email sent to you includes a unique Beta code that you will use to download the game.

PlayStation

Select the PlayStation Store icon from the home screen;
Select [More] and then [Redeem Code];
Select [Account Settings];
Enter the 12-character code and start the download.

Xbox

How can I buy a FC 25 code?

How do I know if I was invited?

Keep a close eye on your email inbox, the one associated with your EA account, to check if you’ve received an invitation. Be sure to check all your email folders, including spam. EA sends all Beta-related communications from [email protected]. It’s important to mark this address as a safe sender to ensure you receive their emails. As a Beta tester, which rules do I have to follow?

When players accept the invitation, they are required to adhere to the terms of the closed beta agreement, which includes a confidentiality clause. This clause prohibits participants from sharing any information about the game outside of the designated forum. Additionally, live streaming and capturing images of closed beta gameplay are strictly prohibited and in violation of the rules.

What happens if I break the rules?

If you don’t fulfil the confidentiality term, you will lose access to the current beta and to any other, that’s released afterwards. Other measures can be taken for more serious cases, like copyright claims and permanent bans.
