Introduction to the FIFA 18 Premier League Squad Guide
Building a team is the biggest challenge in FIFA 18 Ultimate Team. It doesn’t need to be the best team, this is because the budget may not allow it, but it needs to be the player’s stature for him to obtain success.
When choosing which players to play with, you will have to look carefully at their attributes. Choosing a team based on ratings is one of the most common mistakes on FUT 18. It’s precisely this aspect that this guide focuses on. For each position, and focusing on the truly important attributes, we’ll show you who are the best athletes to choose.
It’s also important that the player checks to see if the player he chooses fits the formations he likes to play in. For example, a good full back will be useless if the player only uses a formation with three defenders. According to these formations, the player must be cautious and look at the work rate. Try to relate them with the ones we advise in our Formations Guide.
Last but not least, it’s mandatory that you tune all of your team so that the individual and team chemistry will be as high possible. For this last step to be easier, the majority of the players start to define the type of team they’re building. Some choose to gather players of the same nationality, while others decide to form a team of players from the same league. There are also more experienced players that can form hybrid teams without damaging team chemistry a lot.
All of these steps are necessary to have; or it could mean that the team is not always well built as it could be. This article aims to help those that want to form a FIFA 18 Premier League squad. Even the players that have a EPL team, could take out some valuable conclusions from this guide that could help you make your team even better.
We received thousands of comments about similar guides that we have published in previous years. Most of them have asked us to help improve their teams and the players they had. It’s important that the readers understand that this guide is simply guidance. It’s a theme too vast and the player combinations are almost infinite. Besides, there are various factors that influence the choices, like one’s style of play, the formations used, the available budget, the preferences or even the time spent playing. There’s still one uncertain component: a good player for someone might not be for another. If there was a better team everyone would fight to get it. Part of the fun of FIFA 18 Ultimate Team is this: everyone has their personal club and players.
Another important point and that must stay very clear is that whoever is reading this guide, it’s about some criteria we chose and should be of everyone’s knowledge:
✔️ Only Gold Players
In this guide we didn’t consider silver or bronze player. Most players don’t assume them to be a better option than gold players, so to simplify the guide’s analysis we didn’t include them. In the future we may come to publish guides exclusively talking about these qualities.
✔️ Only Regular Players
In this guide we didn’t consider In Forms (IF). They’re extremely expensive and in most cases are not considered good value for money. They should only be used by players with generous budgets, that already have the best team possible and that want small upgrades.
✔️ Only Normal Players
In this guide we didn’t consider players that have been transferred to other clubs or that have been reviewed (UP). Only players that started their season in the Premier League and with their original attributes were considered.
✔️ Only Original Attributes
In this guide we didn’t consider changes made on a players performance such happens when applying training or chemistry styles cards.
✔️ Position Analysis
To make the comprehension of this guide easier we divided the players in ten distinct groups in order of their original position: Goalkeeper (GK), central backs (CB), right backs (RB and RWB), left backs (LB and LWB), central defensive midfielders (CDM), central midfielders (CM), central attacking midfielders (CAM), right midfielders (RM, RW and RF), left midfielders (LM, LW and LF) and forwards (CF and ST).
✔️ Fluctuation of Prices
In the chapter where FIFA 18 Premier League squads are suggested, we added a link where you can check anytime the updated prices.
Premier League
No league is as spectacular as the main football competition in the United Kingdom. The champions in the second biggest league in the world are made through the made points system. Whichever team gathers the most points wins the league. The top four teams gain access to the champions league of the proceeding year, while the last three trade places with the first three promoted teams from the Football League Championship. Every season starts in August and finishes in May, having 38 game weeks with 10 matches each, being a total of 380 matches per season.
The Premier League is the most watched football league in the world, broadcasted in 212 countries and in more than 600 million homes. It’s also the second football league with more assists and the second best league classified in the UEFA league coefficients.
Since the competition began in 1992 the Premier League has only been conquered by six clubs. The dominant club is Manchester United, with a total of 13 titles. London’s teams together only won the league eight times while Manchester City won it twice. The outsiders Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City did it once.
The team making decisions are made tougher, but in a good way because of the vast quality of players in the league. Keep in mind since it is in the United Kingdom where FIFA 18 is played the most, the Premier League is the most seen inside game’s teams. This means it is also the most expensive league, so it is not recommended for players with a limited budget.

Best FIFA 18 Premier League Goalkeepers
GK
Goalkeepers are the players that are used least on the field. Because of this they are also first ignored when building a team. Most players start their purchases with a forward, later they strengthen the midfield, the defence and only later the goal. The truth is a good goalkeeper may be worth a lot of goals. They are a good investment because they are normally the most economically accessible players.
The goalkeepers with most prestige in the Premier League are the young stars Thibaut Courtois and David De Gea. With having the best rating they are also the most searched for by this league’s teams so this makes them more expensive.
De Gea | 90 | Manchester United | ESP |
Thibaut Courtois | 89 | Chelsea | BEL |
Hugo Lloris | 88 | Tottenham Hotspur | FRA |
Petr Čech | 86 | Arsenal | CZ |
Ederson | 83 | Manchester City | BRA |
Kasper Schmeichel | 83 | Leicester City | DEN |
Orestis Karnezis | 82 | Watford | GRE |
Claudio Bravo | 82 | Manchester City | CHI |
Asmir Begović | 82 | Bournemouth | BOS |
Joe Hart | 82 | West Ham United | ENG |
Jack Butland | 81 | Stoke City | ENG |
Simon Mignolet | 81 | Liverpool | BEL |
Loris Karius | 80 | Liverpool | GER |
Tom Heaton | 80 | Burnley | ENG |
Sergio Romero | 80 | Manchester United | ARG |
When choosing a good goalkeeper it’s not only down to his rating. There are two fundamental attributes for choosing a good goalkeeper: reflexes and diving.
The first measures a goalkeeper’s agility when making a save. The best on this aspect are Hugo Lloris, De Gea and Courtois.
De Gea | Manchester United | ESP | 90 |
Hugo Lloris | Tottenham Hotspur | FRA | 90 |
Thibaut Courtois | Chelsea | BEL | 88 |
Ederson | Manchester City | BRA | 87 |
Kasper Schmeichel | Leicester City | DEN | 86 |
Gomes | Watford | BRA | 86 |
Jack Butland | Stoke City | ENG | 85 |
Loris Karius | Liverpool | GER | 85 |
Orestis Karnezis | Watford | GRE | 84 |
Simon Mignolet | Liverpool | BEL | 84 |
Łukasz Fabiański | Swansea City | POL | 84 |
Ben Foster | West Bromwich Albion | ENG | 84 |
Adrián | West Ham United | ESP | 84 |
David Ospina | Arsenal | COL | 84 |
Joe Hart | West Ham United | ENG | 83 |
Diving is a fundamental attribute when choosing a goalkeeper. It measures the capacity for a goalkeeper to make a save when jumping.
De Gea is also the best one with this attribute, with a slight advantage over Lloris. For those who are looking for the cheaper solution, Karius is a valid alternative.
De Gea | Manchester United | ESP | 90 |
Hugo Lloris | Tottenham Hotspur | FRA | 88 |
Thibaut Courtois | Chelsea | BEL | 85 |
Loris Karius | Liverpool | GER | 84 |
Kasper Schmeichel | Leicester City | DEN | 83 |
Joe Hart | West Ham United | ENG | 83 |

Claudio Bravo | Manchester City | CHI | 80 |
The most experienced Ultimate Team players know that another leaning factor on a goalkeeper’s performance without considering the remaining four attributes: height. The more tall a goalkeeper is, better his chances of having a clean sheet.
This is where Courtois is better than De Gea. Even though he can’t be considered a short goalkeeper, the truth is United’s goalkeeper is 8 cm short of the mighty Fraser Forster, this gold goalkeeper holds the title of tallest Premier League Goalkeeper. Cech is a very tall goalkeeper while Lloris and Claudio Bravo make both part of the shortest goalkpeers of this league.
Fraser Forster | Southampton | ENG | 201 / 6′7″ |
Thibaut Courtois | Chelsea | BEL | 199 / 6′6″ |
Asmir Begović | Bournemouth | BOS | 199 / 6′6″ |
Maarten Stekelenburg | Everton | NED | 197 / 6′6″ |
Petr Čech | Arsenal | CZ | 196 / 6′5″ |
Joe Hart | West Ham United | ENG | 196 / 6′5″ |
Jack Butland | Stoke City | ENG | 196 / 6′5″ |
Jonas Lössl | Huddersfield Town | DEN | 195 / 6′5″ |
De Gea | Manchester United | ESP | 193 / 6′4″ |
Simon Mignolet | Liverpool | BEL | 193 / 6′4″ |
Ben Foster | West Bromwich Albion | ENG | 193 / 6′4″ |
Artur Boruc | Bournemouth | POL | 193 / 6′4″ |
Alex McCarthy | Southampton | ENG | 193 / 6′4″ |
Sergio Romero | Manchester United | ARG | 192 / 6′4″ |
Gomes | Watford | BRA | 191 / 6′3″ |
De Gea is undoubtedly the best option to the goal. He has the best reflexes and diving, the two most important attributes, in the entire Premier League. It’s much more difficult to pick the second best goalkeeper. In our opinion, this position is in good hands (literally) whether you choose Thibaut Courtois or Hugo Lloris. The two goalkeepers are similar stat-wise for the most important attributes. If we had to pick one, it would be Coutois because he is much taller.
In terms of cheaper goalkeepers, our suggestion goes for Petr Čech, the fifth tallest of Premier League. For those who want an even cheaper option, Kasper Schmeichel and Ederson are also good alternatives.

Best FIFA 18 Premier League Centre Backs
CB
A goalkeeper task is made easier if in front of him are quality central backs. Their function is to stop the opponent from getting dangerously close to your team’s goal.
Toby Alderweireld and David Luiz are the centre back with best reputation in the Premier League.
Toby Alderweireld | 86 | Tottenham Hotspur | BEL |
David Luiz | 86 | Chelsea | BRA |
Azpilicueta | 85 | Chelsea | ESP |
Jan Vertonghen | 85 | Tottenham Hotspur | BEL |
Vincent Kompany | 85 | Manchester City | BEL |

Laurent Koscielny | 84 | Arsenal | FRA |
Gary Cahill | 84 | Chelsea | ENG |
Virgil van Dijk | 83 | Southampton | NED |
Joel Matip | 83 | Liverpool | CAM |
Nicolás Otamendi | 83 | Manchester City | ARG |
Antonio Rüdiger | 82 | Chelsea | GER |
Eric Dier | 82 | Tottenham Hotspur | ENG |
Marcos Rojo | 82 | Manchester United | ARG |
On a centre back, two attributes assume particular importance on their performance: defending and physical, which represents strength, stamina, aggression and jumping.
A player with good at defending will have an easier chance of dispossessing the opponent and avoid him reaching your box.
It’s the case of Toby Alderweireld. It’s really hard to get past them. The most experienced players, like Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, are normally those who have a higher rating with this attribute..
Toby Alderweireld | Tottenham Hotspur | BEL | 87 |
Azpilicueta | Chelsea | ESP | 86 |
Jan Vertonghen | Tottenham Hotspur | BEL | 85 |
Laurent Koscielny | Arsenal | FRA | 85 |
Per Mertesacker | Arsenal | GER | 85 |

Vincent Kompany | Manchester City | BEL | 84 |
Eric Bailly | Manchester United | IVC | 84 |

Shkodran Mustafi | Arsenal | GER | 83 |
Virgil van Dijk | Southampton | NED | 83 |
Nicolás Otamendi | Manchester City | ARG | 83 |
Antonio Rüdiger | Chelsea | GER | 82 |
The physical attribute shows the old heading capability but also how likely the players are to win game with their body. This is a crucial attribute when looking for the best centre back.
In this chapter, the players from the Premier League are very balanced.
Virgil van Dijk | Southampton | NED | 85 |
Eric Dier | Tottenham Hotspur | ENG | 85 |
Mamadou Sakho | Crystal Palace | FRA | 85 |
Eliaquim Mangala | Manchester City | FRA | 85 |
Florian Lejeune | Newcastle United | FRA | 85 |
Eric Bailly | Manchester United | IVC | 84 |
Ryan Shawcross | Stoke City | ENG | 84 |
Robert Huth | Leicester City | GER | 84 |
Vincent Kompany | Manchester City | BEL | 83 |
Marcos Rojo | Manchester United | ARG | 83 |
Davinson Sánchez | Tottenham Hotspur | COL | 83 |
Chris Smalling | Manchester United | ENG | 83 |
Kurt Zouma | Stoke City | FRA | 83 |
Michael Keane | Everton | ENG | 82 |
Dejan Lovren | Liverpool | CRO | 82 |
Defending and heading may be useless against fast opponents. It’s necessary to fight fire with fire. No one likes feeling impotent when seeing you get overrun by extremely fast players. Even though, in a way, centre backs aren’t that fast, every team needs one of these players with a high pace attribute.
This is where Huth and Mertesacker are weak. Kompany is also much less interesting than he was a few years ago because his pace was reduced again. ,There are much faster players in the Premier League. The first on the list is Azpilicueta, a great addition to this position, now that he moved from the left to the center.
Azpilicueta | Chelsea | ESP | 79 |
Eric Bailly | Manchester United | IVC | 78 |
Nathan Aké | Bournemouth | NED | 76 |
Laurent Koscielny | Arsenal | FRA | 75 |
Antonio Rüdiger | Chelsea | GER | 74 |
Chancel Mbemba | Newcastle United | DRC | 74 |
Virgil van Dijk | Southampton | NED | 73 |
Christian Kabasele | Watford | BEL | 73 |
Michael Keane | Everton | ENG | 72 |
Chris Smalling | Manchester United | ENG | 72 |
Aleksandar Dragović | Leicester City | AT | 72 |
Marcos Rojo | Manchester United | ARG | 71 |
Davinson Sánchez | Tottenham Hotspur | COL | 71 |
John Stones | Manchester City | ENG | 71 |
David Luiz | Chelsea | BRA | 70 |
David Luiz, Eric Bailly and Azpilicueta are clearly the best centre backs of this league. It’s not easy to choose the best one from these three. The work rates of David Luiz are now much better, while the pace of the other two should not be ignored.
In our opinion, Alderweireld and Virgil van Dijk are the centre backs who are closest to the trio in terms of overall quality.
Pace is still very important in FIFA 18 (yes, sooner or later they will patch the game) and for that reason, unless you play with three centre backs, we suggest you avoid using Mertesacker and other very slow defenders.

Best FIFA 18 Premier League Right Backs
RB | RWB
Full backs have the role of troubling the job of wingers. In addition, good full backs also support their team mates on offensive manoeuvres.
The world-record deal for a defender brought to Kyle Walker even more popularity. Valencia is the only right-back from the Premier League who has such a big rating.
Kyle Walker | 83 | Manchester City | ENG |
Antonio Valencia | 83 | Manchester United | ECU |
Nathaniel Clyne | 82 | Liverpool | ENG |

Daryl Janmaat | 77 | Watford | NED |
Manquillo | 76 | Newcastle United | ESP |
There are very important attributes for any right back: defending and pace.
Since they’re defenders they should have good defending capacities. This reduces a team’s risk of conceding.
Zabaleta is the player that best fits this aspect.

A flanked game tends to be faster than a game based in the middle of the field. The players that fill these spaces are obligated to be fast, both penetrating defensive and attacking moves of the team. Pace is one of the most important requirements for a good full back. Even in FIFA 18.
Bellerín is the fastest Premier League player in FIFA 18 Ultimate Team. The Spanish international player is far superior in this aspect when compared to every EPL full back. Besides Bellerín, only Kyle Walker may be considered reasonably fast.
Héctor Bellerín | Arsenal | ESP | 95 |
Kyle Walker | Manchester City | ENG | 90 |
Antonio Valencia | Manchester United | ECU | 87 |
Serge Aurier | Tottenham Hotspur | IVC | 84 |

Kyle Walker and António Valencia are our top choices. They have a fantastic pace and their high attacking work rate make them good players for those that use full backs as second wingers.
Bellerín is faster than them but not as good in everything else. That’s why Aurier is our third choice. He is a more balanced right back that also helps the defence.

Best FIFA 18 Premier League Left Backs
LB | LWB
Left backs have exactly the same role of their team mates on the other flank. In other words, they try to make a winger’s job hard and participate in the team’s offensive manoeuvres.
On the Premier League, there is a left back that stand out more than the other ones: Danny Rose.
Danny Rose | 82 | Tottenham Hotspur | ENG |
Leighton Baines | 82 | Everton | ENG |

Besides being the high rated LB, Rose is also the one who defends better in this league.

The promising, Anfield tied Alberto Moreno is the fastest left back in the English league. He makes his speed his biggest threat, and only Patrick van Aanholt and Masuaku can be compared with him in this stat.
Alberto Moreno | Liverpool | ESP | 88 |
Arthur Masuaku | West Ham United | DRC | 86 |
Patrick van Aanholt | Crystal Palace | NED | 86 |
Luke Shaw | Manchester United | ENG | 82 |

Marcos Alonso | Chelsea | ESP | 77 |
This is a really easy choice: Danny Rose is, by far, the best left back of this league. Marcos Alonso is a decent alternative, essentially because he is a very balanced player.
Of all the remaining players, Masuaku is our cheap choice. He lacks a little in quality compared to those mentioned above but he’s fast enough to cause some offensive damage. Not all the high rated players are good choices. Baines, for example, is too slow to play in this position. In other hand, Kolašinac , for example, is an amazing option but only for who doesn’t need to attack.

Best FIFA 18 Premier League Defensive Midfielder
CDM
Many of the FIFA 18 Ultimate Team formations require some midfielders that have a natural aptitude to defend. Central defensive midfielders distinguish themselves for being especially aimed to help the more retreated line of their teams. According to their attributes and their work rates, they can also be useful for starting attacks. They are players that occupy a very strategic position in the field.
Kanté is by far the most popular defensive midfielder.
N’Golo Kanté | 87 | Chelsea | FRA |

Nemanja Matić | 83 | Manchester United | SRB |

Michael Carrick | 80 | Manchester United | ENG |
Oriol Romeu | 79 | Southampton | ESP |
There are a variety of attributes in a central defensive midfielder that you have to give attention: defending, so that the first defender of team works; strength, so that you win all brawls in a prone area of the field; heading, to win possession in aerial moves like goal kicks; pace, so that you cover the most terrain on the field as possible; stamina, so they can equally participate in offensive and defensive moves (especially useful for players with high/high work rates); passing and possession so that he can properly start attacks. In our opinion the two first are the most important.
Normally using a central defensive midfielder is associated with having a deficit of elements in your defence. So, it makes sense that when you search for a player to occupy this position you’d want players that can defend.
Gueye and Iborra are the ones who defend better.
Idrissa Gueye | Everton | SEN | 83 |
Iborra | Leicester City | ESP | 83 |
Victor Wanyama | Tottenham Hotspur | KEN | 82 |

The area of the field occupied by the central defensive midfielders is the one where most ball disputes happen. Strong players will have a higher probability of winning the ball.
There’s a lot of muscle between the Premier League. Wanyama, Matic, Fellaini e Kouyaté are good examples of that. On the other hand, there’s Michael Carrick. Even though he’s a very good passer, he rarely wins a physical brawl due to being the second weakest central defensive midfielder in the EPL.

In our opinion, Kanté is the right choice for this position. He is the CDM who gives more security to the back line but he is also a good offensive player. However, you will need a lot of coins to buy him.
There are also good options that are available at a cheap price who are still good quality-wise, like Matić, Bakayoko or even Wanyama, our economic choice.

A lot of games are decided in the midfield and not close to the goals. The players that play in these zones are the ones that should create the game and define its rhythm.

Centre midfielders are responsible for discovering lines that break the opponents defence. Their passing quality has to be really good so they can assist forwards.
Even though Cazorla, Pogba and James Ward-Prowse have a great passing stat, Fábregas is the one who does it better in the whole Premier League.

Pogba is the player that everyone wants on their teams. He stands out to be so good on the attack as he is on the defence.
Pogba is not the only good player for this position. There are many others. However, most of them are only good on the defence or on attack. Rarely both. For example: Gündoğan is the best replacement for Pogba, but only if your focus is the attack. Otherwise, you should use Moussa Dembélé. The same applies to Fàbregas and Herrera. Touré, our sixth choice, is one of the few who defends and attacks well. p>
Our budget choice falls to Cazorla, great example of good value for money for those who don’t need a player with defensive skills.

Best FIFA 18 Premier League Central Attacking Midfielders
CAM
An attacking centre midfielder is responsible for creating chances to score. He should have a good dribbling, a decent passing, a high long shot stat and a great vision.
There are several good CAM’s in this league. It’s the case of the Ozil, David Silva, Eriksen and Kevin De Bruyne.

How we explained, the central attacking midfielders need to have good passing stats, so they can assist forwards.
Every year, De Bruyne and Eriksen have been improving their pass quality.

David Silva is again the best dribbler of the Premier League centre midfield.

Kevin de Bruyne is the most interesting player in the Premier League centre midfield, with the exceptions of Pogba and Kanté. He is level with the best players in various attributes including passing, shooting, vision, crossing and stamina making him a great option.
Christian Eriksen is a kind of De Bruyne’s light version. He’s weaker and has a worse shot but he still is a great player for any team. Alli is the right man if you don’t want to spend so much coins.
There is no much difference between David Silva and Ozil. The passing, dribbling, vision and ball control of the Arsenal’s player are simply amazing but is let down slightly by his 2 star weak foot.
Gylfi Sigurðsson is a cheaper player that can perform well as centre attacking midfielder.

Best FIFA 18 Premier League Right Wingers

The wingers are responsible for giving game width in the attack. They’re normally very explosive players.
Mkhitaryan, Bernardo Silva, Pedro e Willian are the most popular right wingers of this league.

There are three fundamental attributes for a winger: pace, dribbling and passing.
Pace is probably the biggest weapon of these players. They use it to evade opponents and getting to the other side, many times via sprints on the side lines.
The Premier League is extremely well served in this chapter: five gold players have pace over 90.

Just being fast doesn’t cut it to reach the opponents box, having good dribbling to surpass the opponents’ players that appear on the way.
There are a lot of players gifted in dribbling, being Bernardo Silva the best.

When reaching the opponents box the winger has to decide what to do. Normally, they choose to cross to the forwards. That is why it’s important for them to have good passing.
The weakest point of the Premier League Wingers is surprising – passing. Only Bernardo Silva and Willian offers good quality passing. Marković, Bolasie and Musonda, for example, could’ve been an option to consider filling this slot in virtue of their fantastic pace and dribbling, but they are affected negatively for missing frequently passes to their more forward team mates.

Mkhitaryan is our favourite to occupy this position in a team without budget restraints. He may not the best in any of the base attributes but he is always close to the top for dribbling and passing stats. There is no big difference to Willian, our second choice. Salah and Sterling are the fastest ones, but they don’t have the same quality. The Liverpool’s player is better but Sterling has a better price vs quality relation.
From the most popular there is also Bernardo SIlva. The Portuguese player is who has the best dribbling and passing stats, and for that reason an option you should not dismiss.

Hazard’s price prohibits him from being affordable for most, proving the worth of the player. He is without a doubt the best Premier League left winger. He’s the best dribbler, has the best passing stat, one of the fastest and only Sánchez is better at shooting than him. He possesses a series of other highly rated attributes such as balance, agility, acceleration and ball control.
For those who don’t want to pay so much for the Belgian, we suggest Sánchez. It’s impossible to talk about this player without comparing him to Hazard. He is not as good as the Chelsea’s winger overall but is far better value for money.
Mané, Sané and Coutinho are cheaper alternatives to Hazard and Sánchez. The first two are very fast, but Coutinho is much better with the ball in his feet.
Kevin Mirallas is the most complete affordable player and for that reason, our cheapest choice. He is faster than Coutinho and has better passing than Mané. A great player especially for low budget teams.

Jump, strength and stamina are the ingredients to the new physical attribute, very important when we are analysing the best forwards: jump to score with the head; strength to dispute the ball with the opponents; and stamina to sprint in direction of goal at any time of the game.

Depending on the style of play and formation, having good shooting and heading may not be enough for a striker. Especially in games that privilege counter-attack, pace is a very important attribute.

For the final position, we believe that Sergio Agüero and Lukaku are the best EPL strikers. However, the Manchester City player has the advantage due to his better pace and dribbling. Lacazette is our third option.
Zlatan is an unique player but his pace may not be enough for who has a fast playing style. That’s why he is our fourth choice.
Far from the quality of these strikers, Vardy is our economical choice.

FIFA 18 Premier League Squad Suggestions
Ideas to help you building your FIFA 18 Premier League Squad
A lot of people think that this is the most important part of the guide. It’s not. The thing that is really important to know is how to choose players based on their role and style of play that fits each player. The team suggestions that follow are simple graphic indicators of what we wrote previously. They should serve merely as orientation because it’s impossible to build a team that fits everyone. They depend on various factors we don’t know such as budget, formation, style of play and player preferences.
To try and explore the needs of the maximum player as possible we suggest three teams with different budgets and formations: 4-1-2-1-2 with unlimited budget, 4-3-3 with medium budget and 4-4-2 with a low budget.

? SUMMARY
The choice for this team’s players was based on the analysis made previously.
De Gea is the natural choice to the goal. However, who to put as his replacement presents one of the most difficult decisions. Lloris and Courtois are both amazing goalkeepers and you will be fine with either of them.
David Luiz is still good enough to play in the starting eleven but, if you need someone faster, pick Azpilicueta. He is a great addition to this position, especially considering the lack of quality fast players in this position. That’s not the case of Bailly, who should be in the starting eleven of every Premier League squad. Kyle Walker imposes himself with his tremendous pace to be our choice at the right back position, while at left back Rose is good enough to take the position.
The CDM spot is obviously for Kanté, the Premier League player of the year. Although Pogba is originally a CM in FUT 18, he also plays well as CAM. We used this formation not because it is the best for this league but because it is the standard formation we use for unlimited budget squads of our guides. If you don’t want to relegate De Bruyne to the bench, you should pick another one. Think about it: the Belgium midfielder is incredibly good.
Probably the biggest surprise in this squad is Mkhitaryan. The right midfielder is not an amazing player, like Hazard on the opposite side, but at least he is better than Willian.
If your budget allows you, Agüero and Lukaku are the obvious choices for the attack line. Excepting Pogba and Hazard, they are clearly the most expensive players in the league, which is a reflection of just how good they are.
Once all the players reach maximum individual chemistry via loyalty (achieved by each player after 10 matches for your club or by being pack pulled) you can go without a manager for your squad. They’ll be of no use while wasting contracts.

The choices for this more affordable team players was based on analysis made previously.
In goal, Lloris and Čech are too expensive to this squad. Schemeichel and Ederson are good enough to keep your goal safe.
Keane and Smalling are both fast and solid defensively. Rose is the only player who keeps his spot in this team. Aurier’s assertiveness completes our defending foursome.
Matic wasn’t in the unlimited budget squad because of Pogba and Kanté, but in this squad he has to be there. He has the muscle that every midfield needs. Wijnaldum and Lallana complete the midfield.
Sterling and Son are two very popular players with guaranteed place in this team. Salah and Martial are great but also too expensive to this squad.
Over the attack line, Roberto Firmino is an excellent but also expensive choice. He is great because he is a very balanced striker but if your budget doesn’t allow you to use him, pick Antonio as replacement. Excepting shooting, he has very decent stats.
If you still have some room in your budget, Virgil van Dijk, Herrera, Salah and Vardy are players that would improve this squad a lot.

? SUMMARY
The choice for this budget team was based on analysis made previously.
Karius is our choice for the goal. However, if you have a few more coins, upgrading to Hart or Butland would be a good improvement. Mbemba, Mangala, Cédric and Shaw complete the defence.
In the midfield, Kouyaté and Ramsey complement each other well. The first one is strong, quick and aggressive, the second is a player that usually pushes forward to assist his colleagues. Zaha and Redmond fill the wings in order to assist Welbeck and King who have both been chosen for their combination of pace and finishing stats.
