The Team of the Year promo is the oldest and most significant event in the Ultimate Team cycle. It’s also the most profitable for Electronic Arts.

Commonly abbreviated as TOTY, this event celebrates the best eleven players based on their real-life performance in the previous calendar year. The selection of these players is determined by a combination of EA and community votes, from a shortlist of 100 players.

The eleven special cards feature significant upgrades and are exclusively released in packs for two weeks, along with other exciting offers.

FC 25 Team of the Year cards are special items awarded to the best eleven players of the past year, replacing their base cards at specific times. These cards come with significant upgrades to their ratings and stats, reflecting top-tier performance.
The FC community members vote for the FC 25 Team of the Year, selecting from a pool of 100 players nominated by EA SPORTS for their real-world performance over the past year. The final Team of the Year lineup is decided through a combination of votes from both the EA SPORTS team and the community.
The FC 25 Team of the Year is released annually, featuring the top eleven players globally. The TOTY includes 1 goalkeeper, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, and 3 forwards, where any player from each position can be selected. Additionally, a 12th player is chosen by community vote.
TOTY items cannot be upgraded. Their stats are fixed and remain unchanged throughout the game.
You can obtain an FC 25 Team of the Year item just like any other card: by opening packs or purchasing them from the transfer market. To try your luck with packs, visit the store and buy them using either coins or FC Points. These special items are available in various packs that contain player cards, including some free packs.
TOTY items are available in packs starting on Friday, but not all at once. Instead, players are released in phases according to their positions. The defenders, midfielders, and forwards are inserted into packs separately, with all TOTY items becoming available together at a specific point in the promo.
Yes, with few exceptions, the time when you obtained the packs doesn’t matter. What you’ll find inside depends only on when you open them. The best time to open packs is when all FC 25 Team of the Year players are available in packs.
TOTY is a team selected by the votes of the FIFA community, representing the best players of the civil year. On the other hand, TOTS (Team of the Season) highlights the top players from each league based on their performance during the football season, which typically spans from August to May.
