FC 26 LIGUE 1 POTM

The FC 26 Ligue 1 Player of the Month cards are exclusive items granted to monthly winners, featuring enhanced stats.

Each month, EA, in collaboration with their partners UNFP, RTL, and L’Équipe, carefully selects the top-performing Ligue 1 players from the previous month. The process begins with the identification of three standout players based on their individual performances.

Nominees for the Player of the Month (POTM) award are determined through an in-depth assessment of around 20 criteria. The final selection is made through a weighted voting system: 50% from the public team captains and 50% from professional players.

The winner is then decided through this voting process and awarded a FC 26 Ligue 1 Player of the Month item with boosted stats. This special item becomes available via Squad Building Challenges (SBCs).

The FC 26 Ligue 1 POTM nominees are usually announced on the first, or eventually second, Tuesday of each month.

Each month, three players are selected to be voted as the best player of the month.

Typically, the FC 26 Ligue 1 Player of the Month is revealed on Tuesdays or Thursdays, approximately ten days following the announcement of the nominees.

Once the winner is officially announced, EA quickly releases a Squad Building Challenge designed specifically for that player. By completing the challenge(s), you’ll receive a tradable special POTM version with boosted stats and dynamic artwork.

The first player of the month item was assigned to the award winner of September 2019, in FIFA 20.

Each season, Electronic Arts releases seven Player of the month items from Ligue 1.

The Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels (UNFP) is the primary trade union representing professional football players in France. They play a crucial role in selecting the Player of the Month for both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
