Mystery Ball is one of the ten friendly game modes available in Ultimate Team Live Events, and it’s also featured as one of the seven options in Kick Off mode.
In this innovative mode, matches take a unique twist with the introduction of the “mystery ball.” This special ball triggers random effects that significantly alter the course of the match, introducing an element of surprise and unpredictability into the gameplay.
When the ball goes out of play, it has the potential to reenter as a new ball, granting a powerful boost to the attacking team. Each time the ball exits play, a new Mystery Ball variation emerges, providing the attacking team with a formidable advantage.
Each Mystery Ball carries a distinct goal value, ranging from 1 to 3 goals. This means that certain goals are worth more points than others and also bestow extravagant effects on the player in possession, enhancing their Shooting, Dribbling, Passing, Sprint Speed, or all four attributes simultaneously.

- From the main Football Club screen, navigate to [Kick Off];
- Select [House Rules];
- Select [Mystery Ball].
How It Works
During the match, whenever the ball goes out of play for a throw-in, corner kick, goal kick, or similar situation, a random gameplay effect is assigned to the mystery ball.
Players in possession of the mystery ball may gain temporary attribute boosts, such as increased speed, improved shooting accuracy, or enhanced dribbling. These dynamic effects influence how players control and interact with the ball.
Gameplay itself can also change, introducing effects like stronger shots, faster player movement, or even the removal of offside rules. These modifications require players to adapt their strategies to the evolving conditions.
