FC 27 SQUAD RATING
The FC 27 Squad Rating is a score that reflects the overall quality of a team in Ultimate Team.
Team Rating and Star Rating
The FC 27 Squad Rating evaluates and compares the overall strength of different squads. It calculates a team’s potential by taking into account the individual ratings of each player in the starting eleven and on the bench.
These individual ratings are combined into a single Squad Rating, providing a snapshot of the team’s expected performance on the pitch. Keep in mind that a high rating doesn’t guarantee effectiveness, as certain players may not fit every tactic or playstyle, so the highest-rated squad isn’t always the strongest in actual matches.
In FC 27, Squad Ratings range from 0 (lowest) to 99 (highest) and are displayed in the top-left corner of the active squad menu for quick reference. For the most precise rating, check your console, companion app, or web app, since third-party squad builders like FUTgg or FUTBin may produce slightly different calculations.
Understanding your Squad Rating helps make informed decisions when building or optimizing teams across different modes and challenges in Football Club 27.
FC 27 also provides a Star Rating, offering an additional general measure of team quality. Both ratings are closely linked, as shown in the table below.
| Star Rating | Team Rating |
| 5.0 | 83 – 99 |
| 4.5 | 79 – 82 |
| 4.0 | 75 – 78 |
| 3.5 | 71 – 74 |
| 3.0 | 69 – 70 |
| 2.5 | 67 – 68 |
| 2.0 | 65 – 66 |
| 1.5 | 63 – 64 |
| 1.0 | 60 – 62 |
| 0.5 | 02 – 59 |
| 0.0 | 00 – 01 |
How is it Calculated?
The Team Rating is essentially the average of all 18 players’ overall ratings, adjusted by a correction factor. While the exact calculation method isn’t publicly disclosed, here’s a simplified explanation.
To calculate your Squad Rating, consider the ratings of all 18 players — the starting eleven and substitutes, including any loan players. First, find the average rating by adding up all 18 ratings (SUM) and dividing by 18. Any player rated above this average contributes positively to the correction factor (CF), based on how much their rating exceeds the average.
The general formula for calculating the FC 27 Squad Rating is:
SR = (SUM + CF) / 18
Follow these six steps to make it easier:
- Sum the ratings of all 18 players.
- Divide the total by 18 to find the average rating (do not round).
- For each player rated above the average, calculate how much higher they are and sum these values (this is the Correction Factor, CF).
- Add the CF to the original sum from Step 1.
- Round the new total to the nearest whole number, then divide by 18.
- Round down the result to get your final FC 27 Squad Rating.
Let’s walk through an example to make it clearer. Imagine a squad with 14 players rated 80 and 5 players rated 85.
- Sum the Ratings
14 × 80 + 5 × 85 = 1,465 - Calculate the Average
1,465 ÷ 18 = 81.39 - Determine the Correction Factor (CF)
Each 85-rated player exceeds the average by 3.61 (85 – 81.39), and there are five such players:
CF = 5 × 3.61 = 18.05 - Add CF to the Total Sum
1,465 + 18.05 = 1,483.05 - Round and Divide
Rounded sum: 1,483 → 1,483 ÷ 18 = 82.39 - Round Down
Final Squad Rating = 82
