FC 27 introduced Streamlined Squad Building Challenges, a new SBC format designed to make submitting Player Items faster and more intuitive. Instead of building a complete squad that meets several Chemistry, position and overall rating requirements, you select eligible Items from your Club and use them to reach a specified score.

Each Player Item has an individual SBC Score determined by its overall rating and rarity. When an Item is submitted, its score is added to your progress. The challenge is completed once the combined value of all submitted Items reaches the required target.

This system allows you to complete an SBC with fewer high rated Items, a larger number of lower rated Items, or a combination of both. Multiple versions of the same player can be submitted, including duplicates, provided that they meet any minimum rating or eligibility requirements imposed by the challenge.

How SBC Score Works

Streamlined SBCs support partial submissions. You do not need to reach the full target score in a single submission. Instead, you can submit some Items, save your progress and return later with additional Items until the requirement is completed.

For example, an SBC may require a specific total score and only accept Player Items rated 75 or higher. Other challenges may have no minimum rating and allow any eligible Items to contribute. This gives you greater control over which players you exchange and makes it easier to manage duplicates and unused Items.

SBC Score uses the same Item scoring system as the FUT Gallery. According to Electronic Arts, an Item’s contribution is based on its overall rating and rarity. The values below show the score assigned to Regular and Special Items at each rating in the current FC 27 data.

Traditional SBCs have not been removed. EA plans to use Streamlined SBCs for most Player and Upgrade challenges, while Traditional SBCs will remain available for challenges built around squad construction and puzzle based requirements.

Higher rated Items become substantially more valuable from 83 OVR onwards. For example, an 83 rated Item contributes 50 points, an 88 rated Item provides 100 points and a 93 rated Item is worth 500 points. At the highest end of the scale, a 99 rated Item contributes 10,000 points.
