DNF, short for “Did Not Finish“, is a penalty system in FC 27 that discourages players from quitting matches prematurely or disconnecting from online games. Each unfinished match reduces the player’s DNF value and can lower the coin rewards received in subsequent matches.
A player’s DNF value starts at 1.00. Each prematurely ended match reduces it by 0.25 points. When the value is below 1.00, completing an uninterrupted match restores 0.02 points, up to the maximum allowed by the relevant mode. DNF penalties apply to online Ultimate Team matches. Single Player matches use a mode specific multiplier, but quitting against the AI does not reduce the online DNF value in the same way.
