Draft Explained

Draft is a mode in Football Club 27 Ultimate Team where you create a squad to compete against other players in up to four matches. It allows you to test your gameplay and team-building skills with players you don’t own, either in single-player or online tournaments.

Also called Draft Mode or Ultimate Draft, entry requires a fee, payable with coins (15,000), FC Points (300), or Draft Tokens.

Upon entry, you select your game difficulty (for single-player) and choose your squad’s formation from five options. You then pick a Captain from a pool of five top players and complete your 23-man squad by selecting players for each position from a five-player random draw.

Next, choose a manager from a pool of five randomly selected options. Your chosen formation, players, and manager remain the same throughout the series. Team Chemistry and Team Rating affect on-field performance.

A Draft series features four knockout matches. Winning is required to advance, while a loss eliminates your team from the series. As you progress, opponents become tougher and rewards increase.

Rewards include packs, coins, and Draft Mode Tokens. Winning all four matches earns the highest prizes, but even a first-match loss still grants rewards.

Online Draft Mode generally offers better rewards than Single Player Draft Mode, though rewards are distributed only at the end of your campaign.
