    What is EA Access ?

EA Access Guide for FIFA 16 Ultimate Team

EA Access is a subscription paid program. With it, gamers can get exclusive offers for Electronic Arts video games.

EA Access can only be subscribed by XBox One owners. There are no plans to include Playstation 4 in this program since Sony has rejected to make part of it probably because they are releasing a similar service called ‘Playstation Now’. Subscribers of the program that has been released on August 2014, are able to play other games besides popular EA Sports titles, like TitanFall and Battlefield 4.

EA Access is only available for XBox One gamers

It is inevitable to compare EA Access to Season Ticket. Pay attention to the following table where the main differences between the two services are identified.

    SEASON TICKET EA ACCESS

The EA Access is a subscription paid program that offers to subscribers three main advantages:

    • 10 hours Early Access to the full game
    • Subscribers can download FIFA 16 five days before the date release and play it 10 hours. It is possible to carry forward the progress and achievements.

    • Free Access to Games
    • EA Access holders have free access, any time and as long they keep being subscribers of the service, to a selection of games ‘The Vault’. At this moment, it includes FIFA 14 and FIFA 15.

    • 10% discount on EA digital purchases

EA Access increases the early access from 3 to 5 days compared to the Season Ticket that will be discontinued on 2016 but you can only play 10 hours. This time includes loadings and menu navigations

However, there is a limit of 10 hours of game play. It is possible to play, trade, sell, buy cards and, unlike what happen with Season Ticket, you can also buy FIFA Points.

Achievements/trophies subscribers earn during Early Access, while connected to EA Servers, will unlock once they purchase and log into the EA Servers with the final version of the game.

Which ones are the early access dates ?

The early access begins five days before the release date.

EA Access is worldwide available since September 16th at 10pm (UK time).

How to get the early access ?

After buying the EA Access, subscribers just need to download the game through the service’s dashboard.

    EA Access Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When do I need to buy a EA Access subscription that works with FIFA 16 ?
A: At least 5 days before the game release, if you want to play in the early access. Discounts’ on packs are always valid.

Q: What is the price of EA Access subscription ?
A: The EA Access has a one-time cost of $29.99 for 12 months. In order to keep working after this period, a renew is required. By default, it is made automatically.

Q: EA Access is available in all the countries ?
A: EA Access doesn’t work outside of these countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States.

Q: Which gaming platforms EA Access is available on ?
    A: Only for XBox One.

Q: Is EA Access transferable ?
    A: No.

Q: If I have an EA Access subscription but don’t buy the game, how long I will be able to play FIFA 16 with the early access?
A: Depends of your region. In North America it ends on September 24th. In Europe, Australia and New Zealand it ends on September 27th.

Q: What are pre-release trials? Will my progress carry over?
A: With an EA Access membership, you can download and play upcoming EA games before they’re released for a limited time. Because you’re playing the real game, not a demo, any progress you make will carry over, so you can pick up where you left off starting on launch day if you decide to purchase the game.

Q:What is the difference between a demo and an EA Access trial?
A: Demos are stand-alone chunks of a game meant to give you a taste of what it offers. But with EA Access trials, you’re playing the real game for a limited time before its release date. And if you purchase the game once it releases, you can pick up right where you left off – your progress and stats carry over.

Q: Can I buy FUT 16 packs in the days of early access ?
A: Yes. This feature is active in early access version.

Q: Will FIFA Points be for sale during early access period ?
A: Yes. Players who have EA Access for Xbox One will be able to purchase FIFA Points during the early access trial.

Q: Can I transfer my FIFA 15 Points to FIFA 16 Points during the early access period ?
A: Yes, you can. However, this is only on FIFA 16 between XBox One and XBox One. If players choose to not play the full version of FIFA 16, they will not be able to transfer their FIFA Points back to FIFA 15.

Q: Should I buy the EA Access ? What do you think ?
A: It depends of your profile. If you play more games besides FIFA, it may be a good option. However, that was a smart move from EA because they are reducing the discount to half with in the thing that brings them the most profit.

Q: Which one should I choose: Season Ticket or EA Access ?
A: You don’t have an option. It depends of your console: Playstation 3 and XBox 360 for Season Ticket and XBox One for EA Access.

  1. I purchased fifa points after my 10 hour trial had ran out, on the ea access app on Xbox one (went on game odd ones for fifa 16 and I had an option to buy fifa points). However the points have not come through when I go on the web app, do you know if they will come through when I get the fifa 16 game?

  2. Rodrigo, I was referring to cheap players guide since all of us will start with those when the game is in stores.

For e.g. I got Durm (LB) Rhode (CM) and Kovacic – as a matter of fact, I like the fact that I am exploring with new players that might be actually “gems” in the game and that I am starting from scratch and not playing the same old players I had at FIFA 15 or same tactics. Now it s fair across everyone and also not boring!

    Your thoughts?

    1. A fresh new season is always a good moment because we need to collect the first coins, play with unknown players, etc…
We have plans to publish the first league guide in the end of this month.
      Regards

  3. Hello, if I purchase the EA access today and I play the 10 hours will I get to continue playing today if I purchase the game today?

  4. This is exactly what I have done by chance, and Rodrigo, it certainly will work as you may cancel after one month!

    Thanks

Any idea on the guides? Plus I have purchased 2 packs now worth 1.70$ – can I use them at Web app? I can’t find the FIFA points at the companion app so I can make use of it in trading!

  5. But you can also do a 1 month rolling ea access for £3.99 so effectively you can get the 10 hours free gameplay and the discounts for a month

  6. If I pre order the game at stores and play the game five days early from the ea access can I transfer my progress of FIFA 16
