Squad Suggestions

Building a team in FC 25 Ultimate Team can be challenging. While having the best team isn’t always feasible due to budget constraints, it’s vital to create a team that fits your style and needs.

When selecting players, carefully consider their attributes. A common mistake is choosing a team solely based on ratings. We’ll guide you through the best players for each position, focusing on their key attributes.

It’s also crucial to ensure that the players you select fit your preferred formations. For instance, having a skilled full-back won’t be beneficial if your formation only includes three defenders.

Maximizing chemistry is equally important. Many players build squads based on a single league or nation, but experienced players can create hybrid teams without sacrificing chemistry.

To cater to different player preferences and budgets, we recommend two squads with varying formations and budgets. Keep in mind that these formations are not necessarily the best for the Ligue 1 but are general formations used across our squad guides.

Disclaimer Notes

This guide reflects our perception of the game, which may differ from yours. It is intended to serve as a general orientation rather than a definitive solution, as it’s impossible to create a team that fits everyone’s preferences. Various factors that influence choices, such as budget, formation, roles, playstyles, and individual player preferences, are unique to each player.

Here are the criteria we used in this guide:

  • Only Gold Players:
  • We have not considered silver and bronze players, as most of them cannot match the quality of gold players.
  • Only Regular Players:
  • This guide excludes In-Form (IF) and special items, including Icons and Heroes, which are often more expensive and may not offer good value for players with limited budgets.
  • Only Normal Players:
  • Upgraded or transferred items are not considered. We have only included players who started the season in the Premier League with their original attributes.

FC 25 Ligue 1 Squad

Building a top-tier Ligue 1 squad in Football Club 25 with no budget restrictions allows for the selection of the best players based on their attributes and other in-game characteristics. Starting with the goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma is the natural choice. Standing at 1.96m, his height combined with elite reflexes and handling make him an imposing presence in goal. Donnarumma’s ability to control crosses and his shot-stopping abilities from close range ensure he can single-handedly win matches. His distribution and composure on the ball also allow for smooth transitions from defense to attack.

On the right side of the defense, Achraf Hakimi is the ideal choice as the right-back. Known for his blistering pace and exceptional stamina, Hakimi not only locks down opposition wingers but also contributes significantly to the attack. His dribbling and crossing ability provide width and creativity in the final third. Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe form a solid central defensive partnership. Marquinhos offers intelligence, leadership, and versatility, while Kimpembe provides physicality, aggression, and aerial dominance. Their combined pace and defensive awareness make it incredibly difficult for opponents to break through. On the left, Nuno Mendes completes the backline. His agility, pace, and offensive mindset create a dynamic outlet, balancing defensive stability with an attacking threat down the wing.

In midfield, Denis Zakaria anchors the defensive duties in the holding role. His strength, and tackling, are key for breaking up opposition attacks, while his ability to drive forward with the ball allows for quick counter-attacks. Zakaria’s presence provides a protective shield for the backline, and his passing range is invaluable for starting offensive moves. To his right, Ousmane Dembélé’s dribbling, speed, and flair make him a nightmare for defenders. He excels at beating opponents one-on-one, delivering precise crosses, and cutting inside to score. On the left side, Wilfried Zaha brings creativity, directness, and an eye for goal. His combination of physicality, dribbling, and finishing ensures that the team remains unpredictable in attack.

The central playmaker role is occupied by Aleksandr Golovin. As a versatile and technically gifted midfielder, Golovin can both create and finish chances. His vision and passing range allow him to orchestrate the team’s attacking moves, while his shooting from outside the box adds an additional threat. Golovin ensures balance in both offensive and defensive transitions, making him an indispensable part of the team’s midfield engine.

Up front, the deadly combination of Jonathan David and Randal Kolo Muani leads the attack. David, known for his clinical finishing and intelligent positioning, is a striker who thrives in both poaching opportunities and link-up play. His ability to exploit spaces and finish with both feet makes him highly effective in front of goal. Kolo Muani complements David with his physicality, speed, and aerial prowess. Muani’s ability to hold up the ball and bring others into play adds another dimension to the attack, and his finishing ability ensures that no scoring opportunity goes to waste.

This squad’s balance between defense, midfield, and attack is unmatched, with players who excel in their roles and complement each other. With unlimited resources, these selections form a perfect blend of physicality, technique, and flair, capable of dominating any opposition in Football Club 25.
