Squad Suggestions
Building a team in FC 25 Ultimate Team can be challenging. While having the best team isn’t always feasible due to budget constraints, it’s vital to create a team that fits your style and needs.
When selecting players, carefully consider their attributes. A common mistake is choosing a team solely based on ratings. We’ll guide you through the best players for each position, focusing on their key attributes.
It’s also crucial to ensure that the players you select fit your preferred formations. For instance, having a skilled full-back won’t be beneficial if your formation only includes three defenders.
Maximizing chemistry is equally important. Many players build squads based on a single league or nation, but experienced players can create hybrid teams without sacrificing chemistry.
To cater to different player preferences and budgets, we recommend three squads with varying formations and budgets. Keep in mind that these formations are not necessarily the best for the Ligue 1 but are general formations used across our squad guides.

This guide reflects our perception of the game, which may differ from yours. It is intended to serve as a general orientation rather than a definitive solution, as it’s impossible to create a team that fits everyone’s preferences. Various factors that influence choices, such as budget, formation, roles, playstyles, and individual player preferences, are unique to each player.
Here are the criteria we used in this guide:
- Only Gold Players: We have not considered silver and bronze players, as most of them cannot match the quality of gold players.
- Only Regular Players: This guide excludes In-Form (IF) and special items, including Icons and Heroes, which are often more expensive and may not offer good value for players with limited budgets.
- Only Normal Players: Upgraded or transferred items are not considered. We have only included players who started the season in the Premier League with their original attributes.

In goal, Donnarumma is our top choice. He outperforms Keylor Navas in almost every key attribute, and he is also 11cm taller.
The decision to go with Marquinhos and Kimpembe in the center of the defense is straightforward, even though this year there are two good alternatives: Skriniar and Lucas Hernández. Hakimi and Nuno Mendes are the only quality options for fullbacks.
As a defensive midfielder, the chosen one is Kondogbia. Strong defensively and extremely robust, you may only want to replace him if you desire someone faster. In that case, Zakaria and Ugarte are options to consider.
In front of him, the ideal would be to have Verratti, but unfortunately, the Italian doesn’t have CAM as one of his secondary positions. Therefore, the role falls to Savanier, a player who may not be impressive but gets the job done.
Also on the wings, we face the issue of not being able to have Dembélé and Asensio in the same team due to position restrictions. Therefore, we are forced to replace the Spaniard with Terrier, an average player.
In the attack, Mbappé is a confirmed choice as long as you can afford his price, and we believe Kolo Muani should play alongside him. He is very skilled with the ball at his feet and also one of the fastest players in this league. This year, Ligue 1 lost many good players, which is why this team appears weaker compared to the one we published in FIFA 23

Keylor Navas fits within our budget, so the goal is in very capable hands with him.
The same applies to the center-backs. This league boasts four excellent center-backs, and two of them are affordable: Skriniar and Lucas Hernández. You may not have the same level of quality in the full-back positions, but Frankowski and Tagliafico won’t disappoint.
In the center of the field, Verratti imposes his class, accompanied by Khèphren Thuram. While Bourigeaud would typically fill this position, we believe that the player from Nice offers more defensive solidity, which is welcome in a formation that lacks any CDM.
Finally, Terrier and Asensio are good choices to play on the wings, with the most advanced position reserved for Ben Yedder, a community favorite.
This squad was assembled with players whose prices were under 15k coins at the release date. If you have extra coins to spare, you can invest in Kimpembe to make it even stronger.

In goal, Anthony Lopes is a cost-effective and quality option, and the same applies to Frankowski and Tagliafico in the full-back positions. The defense is solidified with the additions of Danso and Djaló.
In midfield, Savanier complements Thuram well, balancing the more attacking characteristics of one with the more defensive attributes of the other.
The wings are entrusted to Ito and Terrier, responsible for serving the duo of Wahi and Embolo in the front attack.
This squad was assembled with players whose prices were under 1k coins at the release date. If you want to enhance it, you can acquire Skriniar and Asensio.
Apart from the most popular players, the prices in this league are low. That’s why there aren’t many differences between the medium and low-budget squads.
If you use these players, you won’t need a manager for your team since they will be of no use.
