FC 25 MANAGER CAREER
FC 25 Manager Career is a game mode that offers you the chance to play through a lifelong manager career.
New Features
FC 25 Manager Career introduces numerous new features designed to enhance your gaming experience. The game features Live Start Points and Snapshots, FC IQ, women’s football, and a lot of other new features.
Live Start Points & Snapshots
In FC 25 Manager Career, players can manage top men’s and women’s teams from any game week of the 2024/2025 season. For men’s football, this includes teams from the Premier League, EFL Championship, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Ligue 1 McDonald’s, Serie A Enilive, and Bundesliga. Women’s football features teams from the Barclays Women’s Super League, Arkema Première Ligue, Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga, and Liga F. The game offers Live Start Points for 10 leagues and 12 cup competitions, reflecting current points, goals, transfers, and more.
Live Start Points and Snapshots will be updated regularly throughout the season, allowing players to jump into pivotal moments and change outcomes. Snapshots will capture significant events like manager sackings and major transfers. These features will also be available in Player Career mode, where players can take on real-world scenarios as actual players or custom Avatars. Live Start Points and Snapshots will launch later in 2024, with regular updates following.
FC IQ in Career Mode
FC IQ introduces Tactical Presets, expanding the previous Tactical vision system. Each Preset has Key Roles and specific build-up and defensive approaches. All Presets work with all formations, though the formation may slightly affect requirements. For example, Tiki Taka needs a Central Midfielder as a Deep Lying Playmaker, but if the formation lacks a Central Midfielder, a Central Defensive Midfielder can fill the role.
The update of Tactical Presets and introduction of Player Roles adds new importance to coaching staff. Coaches can now increase Role Familiarity for key roles on the pitch, provided their Tactical Knowledge exceeds the player’s natural Role Rating and the player can play that position. Most formations require one key Player Role per area but can allow more, giving managers flexibility. For instance, only one Deep Lying Playmaker is needed for Tiki Taka in midfield. Hiring an expert Tiki Taka coach allows improvement of any Central Midfielder not already a natural Deep Lying Playmaker. Managers can choose between more freedom and effective playmakers or more safety with a Holding role.
This system offers more flexibility and combinations between formation, Tactical Preset, Roles, and coaching staff choices. Scouting now includes options to find players with specific Roles and Presets, aiding in finding the perfect fit for tactical approaches. The Squad Hub and Transfer Hub now also display Role information on players.
More Improvements
Development Plans 2.0
Development plans now incorporate Player Roles and Role Growth potential, each with a specific Development Plan targeting key Attributes and abilities. A player’s Role Rating determines the potential of these Key Attributes. Consistent growth in these Attributes can trigger a Role Rating level up, enhancing the potential for further development and unlocking new growth stages.
Press Conferences & Morale Sweet Spot
In FC 25, the morale system evolves from a “the more, the better” approach to a “sweet spot” system. This means that if players’ morale exceeds a certain level, they are no longer very happy but become complacent instead, resulting in a reduction of their mental Attributes. The ideal morale “sweet spot” varies, with some players being calmer and more professional than others. Additionally, Press Conferences have been revised so that questions asked by the press are now fueled by Tactical choices, opponent setup, and match statistics.
Youth Academy
In FC 25 Manager Career, the Youth Academy’s scouting capabilities have been expanded to over 160 countries, allowing for the discovery of diverse players with unique playing styles. Scouting now includes the ability to focus on up to four specific positions, and with the introduction of FC IQ, players can scout for three distinct Roles within those positions. Additionally, the new Rush matches in Manager Career mode allow for 5v5 games with youth players, enhancing their development and growth. Youth players will also visibly age and grow during their time in the Academy.
Women’s Football
For the first time, FC 25 will allow players to manage top women’s teams from elite European leagues and the NWSL in Manager Career. The mode will feature 5 licensed leagues: Barclays Women’s Super League, Arkema Première Ligue, the National Women’s Soccer League, Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga, Liga F, and the Women’s Champions League. Women’s Manager Career includes all expected features, such as authentic managers, financial models, contracts, and wage structures. Players can switch between men’s and women’s leagues within the same career for a diverse football experience.
Customization
FC 25 Manager Career introduces enhanced in-game customization based on player feedback, offering a variety of settings to control gameplay experience and AI behavior. Players can select from predetermined presets for specific situations, toggle between Realistic and Classic gameplay settings, or use detailed Custom settings for personalized adjustments. For a challenge, players can raise save difficulty with stricter transfer negotiations, harsh board expectations, slower training recovery, transfer embargoes, and simulation-style gameplay. For a relaxed experience, options include financial takeovers, no Scouting, faster player development, and immunity from being sacked. Match and Gameplay Simulation settings can be modified mid-save, with customization available in both Player and Manager Career modes.
New Menu Visuals and Social Media
FC 25 features a functional UI upgrade with the introduction of the Task List, which provides a dynamic overview of pending actions related to squad management, youth academy, and other key activities. This tool aims to help players quickly address important issues in both Manager and Player Career modes, though traditional menu navigation remains available. Additionally, FC 25 adds a Social Media feature where players can follow news about achievements, match results, transfers, and more, with coverage from clubs, leagues, players, fans, and news outlets, reflecting narratives both on and off the pitch.
