What are PlayStyles?
FC 25 PlayStyles are small characteristics applied to certain players that affect how they play in-game, whether it be on Ultimate Team, Career Mode, or any other game modes. They provide players with unique skills and play styles in the game that match their real-life counterparts.
Optimized by real-world Opta data, PlayStyles enhance athletes’ in-game abilities, offering more realism by showcasing unique skills beyond standard ratings. Each PlayStyle influences gameplay, making players stand out on the field with noticeable attributes.
PlayStyles+ further elevate these traits to elite levels, representing iconic skills like Haaland’s Power Shot or Sam Kerr’s Finesse Shot. These abilities are prominently displayed on the Player Items, allowing for an easy understanding of how each player can dominate the pitch.
Note that Goalkeeper PlayStyle and PlayStyle+ buffs are limited to Be a Goalkeeper modes (Player Career and Clubs).

Acrobatic
A player who tends to perform acrobatic passes, clearances, and shots. Performs volleys with improved accuracy and has access to acrobatic volley animations.

Aerial
A player who is known for having a high success rate winning aerial battles in both offence and defence. Performs higher jumps and has improved aerial physical presence.

Anticipate
A player who is known for having a high success rate getting ball possession on tackles with a low fouling rate. Improved chances of standing tackle success and grants the ability to stop the ball directly at their feet when performing a standing tackle.

Block
A player who is known for performing elastic and overreaching blocks. Increased reach when performing blocks and improved ability to make a successful block.

Bruiser
A player who is known for winning possession by physical imposition. Greater strength when performing physical tackles.

Cross Claimer
Goalkeeper will try to intercept a cross if they can get to it slightly before the opponent. BAG players will have increased reflexes and reactions during opposing set pieces.

Dead Ball

Far Reach
BAG players are more effective at saving shots from outside the box with increased reach and jumping.
Far Throw
Goalkeeper can target players further away with thrown passes. BAG (Be a Goalkeeper) players will have increased reach and handling closer to the end of the match.
Finesse Shot
A player who is known to try and place the ball when shooting at goal. Performs finesse shots faster with additional curve and improved accuracy.

First Touch
A player who is known for accurate first touch control in difficult situations. Has reduced error when trapping the ball and is able to transition to dribbling faster with greater control.

Flair
A player who is known to try flamboyant moves (traps, passes, and shots). Fancy passes and shots are performed with improved accuracy. Performs Flair animations when contextually appropriate.

Goalkeeper will perform saves with their feet more frequently. BAG players will have increased reactions and speed in 1-on-1 situations.
Incisive Pass
A player who is known for making high speed ground passes. Passes travel faster along the ground without impacting the trapping difficulty of the receiver.

Intercept

Long Ball Pass
A player who is known for performing lobbed long passes to teammates. Lob and Lofted Through Passes are more accurate, travel faster and are more difficult to intercept.

Relentless

Rush Out
