FC 26 Trial
With EA Play (formerly known as EA Access and Origin Access), subscribers gain early access to all recent and upcoming EA titles, including the FC, NHL, Madden, Need for Speed, and Battlefield series. The program offers Play First Trials, which allow players to experience complete versions of popular games for a limited time.
For the FC 26 trial, players can fully engage in activities just like they would in the final game, such as playing, trading, and buying FC Points. This provides a significant advantage over players who do not have early access. Additionally, it is possible to transfer FC Points from the previous edition.
The FC 26 trial allows players to experience the game before its official store release. If they decide to purchase FC 26 once it launches, they can continue from where they left off—their progress and stats will carry over. Any saved games and achievements/trophies earned during the trial will be unlocked upon logging into the EA Servers with the full version. Those who do not purchase the game can continue playing the FC 26 trial until the full game release date or until they reach the 10-hour limit, whichever occurs first.
The only limitation of the FC 26 Trial is that it can be used for a maximum of 10 hours. It’s important to note that the trial timer will continue to count down even when the game runs in the background. To optimize the trial experience, we recommend the following:
- Quit the trial completely when you are not playing
Xbox: Home > Start on FC > Quit Game
PlayStation: Close application
PC: Close the window - Use the web/companion app to trade, open packs, manage your squad, and complete SBCs and objectives;
- Avoid starting the game while it is still downloading – you will have limited features and waste your time.
FC 26 Trial Release Date
By subscribing to the EA Play program, players gain the privilege of playing FC 26 seven days before the official launch. The trial becomes available in the stores simultaneously, so changing the store region in an attempt to play it earlier is unnecessary.
The FC 26 Trial is expected to begin at approximately midnight UK time on September 19, 2025, and unless the trial period has expired, it continues until the game’s official launch date.
Please note that pre-downloading is not an option for the trial. Players who initiate the download when it becomes available in the store will still need to wait for around one hour to start playing, depending on their internet connection speed.

FC 26 Trial Download
To start playing the FC 26 trial, EA Play subscribers have to download it from the console’s store while it is available.
How To Install the FC 26 Trial
- Confirm if you are logged in with your account that is linked to EA Play;
- Go to your console’s store or library and search by ‘FC 26’;
- Select one of the editions and then select ‘Trial’. If this option is not available, try with the other edition.
EA Play Subscription
An EA Play subscription provides access to Play First Trials, a selection of free games, discounts (including those on FC Points), and various in-game rewards. For FC 26, we highly recommend subscribing for one month, particularly if you plan to purchase the game. The savings from the subscription will cover the cost of FC 26.
Players have the flexibility to cancel their membership at any time. If cancellation occurs before the next monthly or annual billing date, they won’t be charged for the upcoming period. After a subscription ends, renewal is necessary to maintain access, and this process happens automatically for either a month or a year, depending on the selected membership duration.
How To Subscribe EA Play
- Go to your PSN, Xbox, Origin or Steam store and search by ‘EA Play’. We recommend you do this just before the FC 26 trial goes out because it is when it is announced a limited-time discount of 75% on the subscription of the first month (the discount is valid from September 13);
- Select the basic plan;
- Subscribe for one month and make the payment.
20 Hours Trial Glitch
The trial has a limit of 10 hours for each console. However, there is a glitch that lets play for 20 hours on next-gen consoles, regardless of player have made any pre-order or not.
How to Extend the FC 26 Trial to 20 Hours
- Download the FC 26 trial on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S as explained above;
- Go to the [Library] on your next-gen console;
- Select ‘FC 26’ and download the cold-gen version. You will have now 10+10 hours to play.
