Play as a Manager or a Player Career?
Career Mode in FC 27 lets you experience football from two different perspectives. In Manager Career, you take control of a real club or create your own team, managing tactics, transfers, finances and squad development. In Player Career, you control an individual footballer and guide their progression from a developing prospect to an established star.
Manager Career focuses on building and managing a squad. You can scout and sign new talent, negotiate contracts, develop players and create training programmes that improve specific attributes. Your tactical decisions and squad management influence the team’s performances throughout the season.
Transfers and recruitment are central to the managerial experience. You can negotiate permanent transfers and loans, sell players, manage the wage budget and build a squad that suits your tactical approach. In Player Career, your development, performances and relationships with teammates influence your position within the squad and your long term progression.
Manager Career also includes responsibilities away from the pitch, such as press conferences, media relations, finances and board expectations. These decisions can affect morale, player relationships, fan support and the direction of your season. Player Career instead focuses on individual objectives, match performances, development and competition for a place in the starting eleven.
Whether you want to lead a club to glory or build your own football career, FC 27 offers different ways to experience the sport. Both modes combine matches, development and decision making, but each provides a distinct career path.

Press conferences have been refreshed to connect more closely with ongoing events and squad situations. Your answers can influence player relationships, morale and the wider narrative of the season. - Team Hierarchy
Players now occupy more distinct positions within the dressing room, including Captains, Leaders and Newcomers. Understanding these relationships becomes important when managing morale and making decisions that affect the squad. - Practice Arena
The Practice Arena remains available as an interactive space for working with players and practising gameplay situations. It provides a direct way to prepare the squad and rehearse specific actions outside competitive matches. - Youth and Academy Customisation
