FC 27 ANTICHEAT
EA AntiCheat is a feature that prevents cheating in FC 27 PC.
The AntiCheat Feature
EA Javelin Anticheat, formerly known as EA AntiCheat, is EA’s PC anti-cheat and anti-tamper solution. designed to maintain fair play in Electronic Arts games and prevent cheating attempts. It operates at kernel level, improving detection of sophisticated cheats while maintaining strong privacy and security standards.
Focused on privacy and security, it was first introduced with FIFA 23. The system runs as a lightweight kernel-mode anti-cheat and anti-tamper solution, created by EA and audited by independent security experts unaffiliated with the company.
How Does It Work?
EA Anticheat launches automatically with FC 27 and shuts down when the game closes. It monitors processes that attempt to interact with the game, helping to detect and block cheats, tampering tools and unauthorized modifications. EA regularly updates the system with new detections, telemetry signals and protections against modern cheating methods.
Some cheats operate at kernel level, where they can evade traditional user-mode security solutions. EA Anticheat also operates at kernel level, allowing it to identify and block these threats more effectively. It is required in both offline and online modes, making it more difficult for cheat developers to use single-player modes to study the game, modify files or test methods that could later affect online play.
FC 27 can be played offline on PC with EA Javelin Anticheat active, although features and modes that depend on EA Servers remain unavailable. Ultimate Team and other online modes require an internet connection.

Yes. FC 27 requires EA Javelin Anticheat in both single-player and online modes. According to EA, this makes it more difficult for cheat developers to use offline modes to study the game, modify files or test methods that could later affect online play.
EA states that Javelin Anticheat is designed to be lightweight and have a negligible impact on gameplay performance. However, performance can still vary depending on the system configuration, background applications and driver compatibility.
Some cheats run at the deepest level of a computer’s operating system, which can make them almost invisible to traditional detection methods. EA Javelin Anticheat runs at the kernel level so it can spot and block those cheats effectively. For FC players, this means:
- EA Javelin Anticheat only runs when EA SPORTS FC 27 is active on your PC.
- If you uninstall FC 27 (and any other EA games that use EA Javelin Anticheat), the driver also uninstalls.
EA anticheat only runs when a game with EA anticheat protection included is running. All anti-cheat processes shut down when the game does.
It may remain installed if another EA game on your PC still requires its protection. EA Javelin Anticheat is automatically removed only after all protected EA games have been uninstalled. You can also remove it manually, but any game that requires it will not launch until it is reinstalled.
EA states that Javelin Anticheat is designed with privacy and security controls and only inspects information required for anticheat purposes. It operates at kernel level while a protected game is running and shuts down when the game closes. EA also says that the system undergoes internal testing and independent security assessments.
