FC 27 EVOLUTIONS
FC 27 Evolutions is a feature that allows you to upgrade the base versions of your players by completing a series of objectives.
Evolutions Explained
Evolutions allowed players to complete in‑game objectives to grant permanent upgrades, turning favorite items that met entry criteria into long‑term centerpieces that remained competitive throughout the season.
To start, players assigned an eligible card to an Evolution slot, completed the listed challenges, and the card received lasting improvements; multiple Evolutions could stack on the same player during the year, creating unique versions and supporting a genuine squad‑building identity. Eligibility varied by path, so it was essential to check requirements such as ‘any Bronze player’ or ‘a striker with 2* weak foot’, ensuring the right candidates were enrolled before starting a run.
Some Evolutions were free each season, while others required coins or a combination of coins and points, and several were time‑limited, featuring enrollment windows or completion deadlines that rewarded consistent play and planning.
The upgrade scope spanned five areas that meaningfully impacted performance and presentation. Stats could rise, including key modifiers like skill moves and weak foot, while overall rating increased to keep the player aligned with the evolving power curve. PlayStyles could be added or improved to unlock distinctive on‑pitch behaviors, and in rare cases position or work rates changed, especially for special items, opening new tactical fits.
Visuals evolved alongside new designs and animated backgrounds, showcasing milestones, celebrating invested effort, and signaling to opponents that this was a homegrown Evolution built over time.
By combining targeted challenges, flexible cost structures, and layered upgrades, Evolutions provided a steady path to refresh a squad without replacing its favorites, preserving attachment while keeping teams viable from kickoff to the endgame.

Each Evolution included a set number of predetermined levels. To move through each level, players had to complete specific in-game objectives. Once completed, the player card received an upgrade, with objectives becoming progressively more challenging at higher levels.
Your cards receive visual upgrades immediately upon completing a level. This ensures that other players will recognize them as evolved cards.
Once all levels were completed and a card reached its maximum Evolution, no further objectives remained. However, this did not prevent continued development, as future seasons could offer opportunities to enhance the evolved card further. The goal was to select a card early and develop it throughout the entire game cycle.
