FC 27 LALIGA SQUAD
Squad Suggestions
Building a LaLiga squad in FC 27 Ultimate Team involves more than simply choosing the highest rated players available. The best team is one that suits your budget, formation, style of play and the roles you need each player to perform.
Overall rating is helpful, but it does not tell the complete story. Pace, defending, passing, dribbling, physicality, PlayStyles, Skill Moves and Weak Foot can have a greater impact on the pitch depending on the position. Our recommendations therefore use the position specific scores from the LaLiga player guides instead of relying only on overall ratings.
Balance across the XI is just as important. A quick full back has less value in a narrow formation that does not use wide defenders, while two slow centre backs can leave a team exposed even when both have excellent defending attributes. The selected players are chosen to complement one another and cover key strengths across the squad.
Chemistry should also be considered before making any purchase. Building within one league is the simplest way to create a full chemistry squad, although carefully planned hybrids can offer more flexibility when a player represents a clear upgrade.
This guide includes three LaLiga squads for different budgets and formations: an unlimited budget 4-1-2-1-2, a medium budget 4-4-2 and a low budget 4-3-3. They are practical starting points that can be adapted to your preferred tactics, available players and Transfer Market prices.
Methodology and Notes
These squad suggestions represent our assessment of the available regular Gold players. They are not intended to be the only correct solution, as the ideal team will always depend on your budget, formation, tactical approach, preferred roles and individual playing style.
The following criteria were applied throughout this guide:
- Only Gold Player Items:
Silver and Bronze players were excluded. The objective is to identify the strongest options among the regular Gold player pool. - Only Regular Gold Items:
In Form and other special items, including Icons, Heroes and Hall of FUT players, were not considered. These cards are usually more expensive and do not provide a consistent comparison with standard Gold items. - Current Club and Primary Position:
Players are assessed according to their latest available regular Gold item, using their current club and primary position. This ensures that transferred players are included with the club shown on their FC 27 card. - Position Specific Scores:
Each player score gives greater importance to the face stats most relevant to their position. It also considers total face stats, relevant PlayStyles, Skill Moves, Weak Foot and, where appropriate, height. - Squad Balance:
The recommendations consider how players work together. Defensive pace, midfield coverage, width, chance creation and complementary striker profiles are all considered alongside individual quality.
Unlimited Budget Squad
The best FC 27 LaLiga squad in a 41212 formation, according to our analysis.
This unlimited budget squad uses the 4-1-2-1-2 Wide formation to bring together LaLiga’s strongest regular Gold players while maintaining a clear balance between defensive security, midfield control and elite attacking quality. Every starter was selected from the full positional list, including players whose alternative positions make them more valuable than many native options.
Courtois remains the obvious choice in goal, while Marcos Llorente provides exceptional pace and energy from right back. Eric García and Tchouaméni form a composed central pairing with strong defensive and physical attributes, and Cucurella gives the left side a more complete defensive profile. Valverde takes the holding midfield role, adding pace, stamina and ball carrying ability without sacrificing the defensive work needed to protect the back line.
The wide midfield positions are where the revised selection changes most clearly. Lamine Yamal is eligible at RM and delivers the highest score in that role, while Raphinha can operate at LM despite his primary LW position. Their speed, dribbling and attacking PlayStyles give the formation genuine width before creating space for Julián Alvarez to influence play from CAM.
Mbappé and Vini Jr. complete an exceptional front two. Both are eligible at striker, combine outstanding pace with high shooting and dribbling ratings, and can attack space behind the defence from either side. The substitutes maintain a similarly high level, with Pedri, Bellingham and Nico Williams providing flexible alternatives for almost any tactical adjustment during a match.
Medium Budget Squad
A competitive FC 27 LaLiga 442 squad designed for a budget of around 300,000 coins.
Lookman moves to the left side of midfield, which is a confirmed alternative position on his FC 27 item. This improves the starting XI considerably, as his 90.0 score is stronger than the native LM alternatives available within this budget, while Ayoze replaces him beside Mikautadze.
Frenkie de Jong and Camavinga form a much more balanced central pairing than two purely technical midfielders. De Jong is responsible for control and progression, while Camavinga brings defensive ability and can also cover CDM or LB if the team needs to protect a lead.
The defence retains its strong-value core. Rațiu and Balde provide pace from both full-back positions, while Hancko and Cubarsí are composed enough to play from the back. Joan García gives the team an elite goalkeeping score without the price of Courtois or Oblak.
The bench reflects the same flexibility. Baena can play LM, CM, CAM or LW, while Isco offers a different creative profile. Johnny Cardoso covers both CDM and CM, allowing the squad to change its midfield structure without compromising chemistry.
Low Budget Squad
A competitive FC 27 LaLiga 433 squad designed for a budget of around 100,000 coins.
Ayoze plays at LW, one of his confirmed alternative positions, and is a major improvement on the cheapest native left-sided options. Buchanan is also deployed at RW, an alternative position that suits his pace and makes the front three much more dangerous than a low-budget squad would normally suggest.
Cardoso remains in his natural CDM role, with Ugrinić and Moi Gómez ahead of him. This protects the defence while keeping enough passing quality to bring the wingers into play. Both central midfielders have alternative positions too, giving the squad useful flexibility during matches.
The defence prioritises value and recovery pace. Carmona can cover either centre-back or left-back if required, while Mojica can also play LM. Zaid Romero supplies the physical presence in the middle, and Batalla is an excellent low-cost goalkeeper for his score.
The substitutes maintain the same principle. Arnau Martínez and Foyth cover several defensive roles, Sergio Gómez can play LB, LM or CM, and Valera is available at LB, RM or LW. This keeps the squad adaptable without requiring expensive replacements.
