FC 27 PLAYER CAREER
FC 27 Player Career is a game mode that lets you experience the journey of a lifelong professional footballer.
New Features
Player Career in FC 27 introduces Rivalries that measure your performances against other players in the same or a similar position. These match-based objectives create additional competition throughout the season and can influence your Personality Points and progression.
The mode also benefits from Authentic Gameplay 2.0, which adds more realistic player movement, more intelligent CPU behaviour, stronger physical interactions and additional gameplay customisation through new CPU Sliders.
FC 27 also includes broader Career Mode improvements that affect Player Career, including Liga MX, more varied generated players, deeper simulation data and a new tutorial setting.
Player Career Rivalries
Player Career Rivalries compare your performances with those of AI-controlled players. Your Rival is selected according to your behaviour on the pitch, personal achievements and current league situation.
Rivals usually play in the same or a similar position, although the challenge may not always be evenly matched. You may face a more experienced player, or become the target of an upcoming footballer trying to establish himself.
Rivalries include performance-based objectives that change according to your position, achievements and the stage of the season. Examples include recording more assists than your Rival across a set number of matches or reaching a specific achievement first.
Winning a Rivalry rewards Personality Points. Rewards can be claimed when you win or draw the Rivalry, while an inconclusive Rivalry provides half of the standard reward. Personality Points are distributed equally between all Personality types.
Rivalries also continue away from the pitch. Social Media reactions allow fans to support or criticise your performances, while unique narratives follow the different stages of the rivalry.
More Improvements
Authentic Gameplay 2.0
Player Career benefits from a more realistic gameplay experience, with grounded player movement, more deliberate touches and turns, and stronger physical interactions during matches.
Evolved CPU Intelligence
CPU-controlled players display more distinctive playing styles, make smarter decisions and use a wider range of tactical approaches. This should make matches less predictable and require greater adaptation.
CPU Teammate and Opponent Sliders
FC 27 separates CPU Sliders into CPU Opponent and CPU Teammate categories. This is particularly useful in Player Career because it allows you to adjust the behaviour of your own AI teammates independently from your opponents.
Impactful Physical Play
Shoulder challenges, aerial duels and other physical interactions have been updated to feel stronger and more varied. CPU-controlled players can also commit more fouls, giving set pieces a greater role during matches.
Enhanced Environmental Realism
Weather conditions can have a greater impact on the pitch. Wet and snowy conditions may affect footing, while visible fatigue and emotional reactions provide more feedback about players’ physical and mental states.
Generated Player Data
Generated players now use a new data system designed to create greater variety in long-term Career saves. Retired players still influence the potential distribution, but generated players no longer simply inherit the data of the player they replace.
Liga MX
Liga MX joins both Manager Career and Player Career with its official clubs, squads, kits and competition structure, including the Apertura and Clausura tournaments.
Deeper Simulation
Deeper Simulation now includes current and previous-season performances and supports up to ten selected leagues. This provides more information for following form and evaluating the football environment around your career.
New Tutorial Setting
A new setting lets you keep all tutorials enabled, disable them for future saves or display only tutorials related to features introduced in FC 27.
