FC 27 Walkout Players

Do you know that exciting moment when you open a pack and a highly rated player enters the stage with a special animation? That is what the Ultimate Team community calls a Walkout Player.

Walkouts were first introduced in FIFA 17 to make the reveal of top players more exciting. They are not a separate item quality or rarity. Instead, the term describes the extended pack animation used to present eligible high-rated Base or Special Player Items.

These animations have evolved considerably over the years, introducing new stadium environments, lighting effects, celebrations and player movements. In FC 27, Walkout Players enter a large presentation stage and perform a distinctive pose or celebration after their Player Item is revealed.

Before the full reveal, the Walkout animation provides a sequence of clues about the player inside a large futuristic tunnel. Coordinated drones form the player’s position overhead, while LED panels progressively display their nationality, league and club, in that order. The Player Item then emerges through smoke and bright stage lighting, allowing you to identify or predict the player before their rating, name and image are fully shown.

By definition, a walkout player is rated 86 or higher, though exceptions exist. Some TOTW or Special players rated 84 or higher can also sprint onto the screen and perform an animation.

Pack Animation

One of the most exciting moments when opening an FC 27 Ultimate Team pack is discovering a highly rated player and watching them walk onto the presentation stage. The extended animation gradually reveals information about the player before displaying their complete Player Item.

In previous titles, specific visual details shown before a player’s entrance could indicate the quality of the item. Higher-rated and Special Player Items were generally accompanied by longer animations, additional lighting, confetti, flames and other celebratory effects.

FC 27 introduces a clear visual distinction between Walkout and non-Walkout animations. The easiest way to identify a Walkout is to observe the opening moments of the pack presentation. A Walkout begins with a wide view inside the tunnel and then progresses through the player’s position, nationality, league and club.

In other hand, when you pack a non-Walkout, the complete tunnel sequence is skipped. Instead of gradually displaying all four clues, the presentation moved almost directly to the club badge and Player Item. Therefore, the important distinction is not whether a position flag appears, but whether the full tunnel sequence is shown before the club and card reveal.

How to Identify a Walkout Player in FC 27

A presentation featuring more than one Walkout Player is commonly known as a Double Walkout. Each player can enter the stage before another Player Item is revealed.

The first player shown is not necessarily the highest-rated or most valuable item in the pack. Players should therefore wait for the complete animation before assuming that the first reveal is the best item in the pack.

Unlike in previous years, it is not possible to tell whether you have a Double Walkout until the second player appears on stage. The animations leading up to that moment are exactly the same for both a single Walkout and a Double Walkout.
