For all those players who plan to build a FIFA 20 Bundesliga squad, we’ve conducted an extensive analysis on the best players and suggested squads for different budgets.
Building a team is the biggest challenge in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. It doesn’t need to be the best team, since the budget may not allow it, but it needs to be a team designed for your style and needs.
When choosing which players to play with, you will have to look carefully at their attributes. Choosing a team based on ratings is one of the most common mistakes. For each position, and focusing on the truly important attributes, we’ll show you who are the best players to choose.
It’s also important to check if the player you choose fits the formations you like to play in. For example, a good full-back will be useless if the player only uses a formation with three defenders.
Last but not least, you should try to get the maximum chemistry possible. Most of the players base their squads on a single league or nation, but the most experienced ones are able to build hybrid teams without hurting chemistry.

This guide is based on our perception of the game, which may be different from yours. It should only be used as an orientation, since it’s impossible to build a team that fits everyone. Besides that, there are several factors we don’t know that influence the choices, such as budget, formation, custom tactics, instructions, style of play and player preferences.
Another important point that must stay very clear to whoever is reading this guide, it’s about some criteria we used:
Only Gold Players
Silver and bronze players are not taken into account in this guide. Most of them are not good enough to replace the gold ones.
Only Regular Players
IF and special items are not taken into account in this guide. Most of them can’t be considered good value for money and should only be used by players with a good budget.
Only Normal Players

If there are undoubted players in this team, Neuer is certainly one of them. He is clearly the best. He has the highest diving, handling, kicking and speed stats.
Lucas Hernández is untouchables in any Bundesliga defence. He is fast, strong, defends well and is good enough with the ball on his feet. In our opinion, the other spots of the defence should be filled with Manuel Akanji, Kevin Mbabu and David Alaba. However, if you feel uncomfortable with the defence skills of Mbabu, you should try Kimmich (not a native RB) or a player from another league (an Icon would be great!).
There are several midfielders on Bundesliga good enough to play on this squad. Since we are using a formation with one CDM and one CAM, we picked the two best players for these positions: Witsel and Marco Reus. However, Havertz, Thiago and Goretzka could also be good choices to be here. In fact, we used Goretzka to replace one of the strikers on the bench since he can play better as ST than Poulsen, who is the player that was supposed to be there.
Coutinho is an easy choice for the left side but on the right side of the attack, we could have there Gnabry or Sancho. The first one is stronger, faster and has much better shooting skills, are for that reason we believe he is slightly better than the Dortmund’s winger.
On the attack, Lewandowski and Werner are much better than any other striker.
Once all players have reached maximum individual chemistry via loyalty (achieved by each player after 10 matches for your club or by being pack pulled), you can go without a manager for your squad. They’ll be of no use while wasting contracts.

On the back, Gulacsi will keep your goal safe. Akani and Sule are solid centre backs, supported on the left side by Roussillon and on the right side by Mbabu.
Delaney is perfect to play in the centre. He has the muscle that every midfield needs and he is also good to start the attacks. Havertz and Thiago complete the midfield. On the wings, Bellarabi and Coman are responsible to support the striker.
We picked Voland for the most advanced position since he is the third-best striker from Bundesliga and the first two are too expensive to a medium-budget squad. However, as soon as you have enough coins you should replace him by Werner. In the meanwhile, you can use one of the good midfielders in this position. Later, you can also try to improve your squad with Goretzka, Gnabry and Lucas Hernández.

Pavlenka is our choice for the goal. It won’t be because of him that you will lose. Piszczek, Konaté, Vogt and Halstenberg complete the defence. However, if you feel the Leipzig left back too slow, you can try Philip Max.
