THE BEST FIFA 20 SERIE A CENTRE BACKS

A goalkeeper task is made easier if in front of him are quality central backs. Their function is to stop the opponent from getting dangerously close to your team’s goal.
On a centre back, two attributes assume particular importance on their performance: defending and physical.

A player with good at defending will have higher chances of dispossessing the opponent and avoid him reaching his box. The physical attribute measures how likely the players are to win possession with their body.

There are plenty of quality centre backs on this league but, in our opinion, Manolas is the best one. He is the fastest one and also has amazing DEF and PHY stats. Koulibaly is also an amazing choice. He is the strongest and only Chiellini, our third choice, defends better than him.

Far of the quality of these three, you can also use Škriniar and de Ligt. The biggest difference between them is how good the Inter centre back is on the defence. If you don’t want to try slower players, like Godín and Bonucci, Murillo may be an interesting option.

THE BEST FIFA 20 SERIE A RIGHT BACKS

Full backs have the role of troubling the job of wingers. In addition, good full backs also support their team mates on offensive manoeuvres.
Defending and pace are very important attributes for any right back.

As defenders that they are, they should have good defending capacities. This reduces a team’s risk of conceding. A flanked game tends to be faster than a game based in the middle of the field. The players that fill these spaces need to be fast, both penetrating defensive and attacking moves of the team.

Serie A has lost Cancelo and Šime Vrsaljko, two of the best right-backs that were playing in Italy. Florenzi was downgraded but it is clearly that he is now the best Serie A right-back.

This is the position where you will find less quality players. Malcuit is one of the few exceptions. Lazaro is the other fast fullback that you can use in your team. Try to avoid all the other ones.

THE BEST FIFA 20 SERIE A LEFT BACKS

Left backs have exactly the same role of their team mates on the other flank. In other words, they try to make a winger’s job hard and participate in the team’s offensive manoeuvres.

There is more quality on the left side of the defence than on the right side, which isn’t difficult. It’s easy to agree that Alex Sandro is the best left-back of this league. He has the best DEF and PHY stats but he is also good in many other things.

In our opinion, Theo Hernández and Dalbert are the best alternatives to the Juventus fullback. They are both extremely fast but Milan’s defender is stronger. For the fourth place, we picked Asamoah. Mário Rui is much faster than him, but in everything else, it’s Asamoah the best one. A special mention to Kolarov. He has great stats, except on pace, making him a good choice only if you want him to close your defence.
