PLAYTESTS | FROM MARCH TO JUNE 2020
EA held a confidential FIFA playtesting at their studios in Burnaby, Canada (February 7-8). It was the first time that someone not connected to EA played the game. However, because of COVID-19, not even the playtest in Guildford will take place. They were replaced by remote tests. Selected participants can’t be Game Changers and have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. If you would like to be selected to try the Alpha version, please visit the Playtesting page where you can check the schedule and submit an application.

BETA TESTING | AUGUST 2020
For most of the players, the FIFA 21 Closed Beta is their first chance to play the new EA’s title. However, it’s not easy to be selected, since it’s a closed beta with limited spots. The main purpose of it is to test the game. It’s for players to try out a FIFA 21 game mode and give the developer feedback on anomalies they might find, and also suggest potential alterations. This beta has also got the particularity of promoting the game itself. Just like the playtests, there is a Non-Disclosure Agreement to follow.

DEMO | CANCELLED
The demo is a limited version of the full game. It’s designed to show users what the full game will be like, showing off new features and gameplay improvements. However, because this year the Dev Team is working from home, EA decided to cut the demo from the list and for the first time in the last 20 years, they won’t release it.

EA PLAY | OCTOBER 01, 2020
By paying and subscribing to EA Play, you will be able to download and play FIFA 21 in advance and play it before non-EA Play member can play it. Through FIFA 21 early access, subscribers may play the full game before the game hits the stores, including online play and FIFA Ultimate Team features. However, there is a 10 hours total limit of gameplay. It is possible to play, trade, sell, buy cards and FIFA Points, which can be a huge advantage over the other players without early access. Saved games and achievements/trophies subscribers earn during FIFA 21 Early Access, while connected to EA Servers, will unlock once they purchase and log into the EA Servers with the final version of the game. If you want early access to the game without any limitation, you can subscribe to Pro Plan. The full game will be yours while your subscription is active. However, this plan is only available on the PC-Windows platform. EA Play is a new service that replaced EA Access and Origin Access on past August.
