Friendlies in Football Club 27 is a game mode that enables you to play Ultimate Team matches with your friends online or on the same console or PC.

Friendlies is an Ultimate Team mode that lets you play relaxed 11v11 Classic matches locally or online without affecting your competitive record.
FC 27 offers two ways to play Friendlies:
- Couch Play
Play locally with friends using the same console or PC, either against each other or against an AI controlled squad. - Play a Friend
Invite a friend online and play a head to head match using your Ultimate Team squads.
Friendlies do not affect your main Club record, while injuries and red card suspensions do not carry over to future matches. Loan Player Items can also be used without reducing their remaining contracts.

- From the Ultimate Team main screen, select [Play];
- Enter [Game Modes];
- Select [Play vs Friend];
- Choose [Couch Play] or [Play a Friend];
- Select your opponent and start the match.

A Classic Match uses the standard 11v11 football rules and regular Ultimate Team gameplay settings. It does not apply the special conditions or House Rules found in selected Live Events.
Yes. Crossplay is available in Play a Friend between compatible platforms of the same generation group.
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC players can play together. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players form a separate group. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 do not support crossplay.

Open the EA Connect menu, find the player in your Friends list and send an invitation. Both players must be using compatible platforms and have crossplay enabled when playing across different platforms.
Online Co-Op is not available in Play a Friend, which is a head to head mode. Local players may participate through Couch Play using additional controllers on the same console or PC.
Friendlies may display basic results and match statistics, but these matches do not affect your main Ultimate Team Club record.

No. Red card suspensions and injuries received during Friendlies do not carry over to subsequent Ultimate Team matches.
Yes. Using a Loan Player Item in Friendlies does not reduce its remaining contracts. This allows you to use an Item with one match remaining without consuming its final contract.
Standard Friendlies do not have their own progression or reward track. You may still receive basic end of match Coins and make progress towards Objectives that specifically include Friendlies.
Live Events are separate and may offer additional rewards, Season Points or Event Tokens.
