FC 27 LOAN PLAYERS
FC 27 Loan players are temporary items.
Loan Items
Introduced by Electronic Arts in FUT 15, Loan Players are temporary Player Items that can be used for a limited number of eligible matches or during a specific period. They can provide an immediate improvement to your squad and allow you to try valuable players before deciding whether to acquire their permanent versions.
Match Loan Items are identified by a blue circle in the bottom right corner. The number inside shows how many eligible matches remain. When that number reaches zero, the item can no longer be used in modes that consume loan matches.
Timed and Global Loans use an expiry timer instead of a fixed match allowance. They can be used as many times as you want while they remain active, subject to the entry requirements of each competition.
In FC 27, there are three types of Loan Items:
- Match Loans
These items can be used for a fixed number of eligible matches. You decide when to use them, and only participation in an eligible match reduces the remaining allowance. - Timed Loans
These items can be used without a match limit during a specified period. Once their individual timer expires, they become unusable. - Global Loans
These work similarly to Timed Loans, but their activation and expiry times are shared globally. They become available and expire at the same scheduled time for every player.
Features
Loan Items are useful because they are often available as free rewards and provide access to players whose permanent versions may be difficult or expensive to acquire. They also allow you to test how a player performs in your squad before spending coins on the Transfer Market.
Here are some important aspects of how Loan Items work:
- Squad
You can use multiple Loan Players in the same squad, provided that the selected competition does not impose its own restrictions. Different versions of the same player can be kept in your Club, but only one version of that player can be included in the active squad at a time. - Transfer Market
Loan Player Items cannot be bought or sold on the Transfer Market. They have a Quick Sell value of zero coins and cannot be submitted into Squad Building Challenges. - Match Usage
Using a Match Loan Player in an eligible match reduces their remaining match allowance by one. If the player stays on the bench or in the reserves for the entire match, no match is deducted. Some modes, including selected Friendlies and Moments scenarios, do not consume loan matches. - Timed Availability
Timed and Global Loans do not have a match allowance. They can be used repeatedly until their timer expires, after which they become unusable. - Consumables
Eligible consumables, such as Chemistry Styles and healing items, can be applied to Loan Players. However, no consumable can increase the number of matches available or extend the expiry time of a loan. - FUT Gallery
Loan Player Items are not eligible for the FUT Gallery. They cannot be added to Gallery Sets or contribute to Set grades and Gallery progression.
How to Get Loan Player Items
FC 27 Loan Player Items can be obtained from several sources, including:
- Season Pass rewards;
- Objectives;
- Squad Building Challenges;
- Reward and promotional packs;
- Selected Live Events and campaigns;
- Game editions and promotional offers.
Season Pass
By earning Season Points, you progress through the Season Pass and can claim Loan Player Items whenever they are included among its rewards. Season Points are used to unlock reward tiers and are not exchanged directly for players. The available rewards are listed on our dedicated Seasons page.
Objectives and SBCs
Loan Players may be offered directly as rewards for completing selected Objectives or Squad Building Challenges. They may also be included in packs earned through these activities.
Packs and Game Mode Rewards
Specific reward and promotional packs may contain Loan Player Items. These packs can be earned through modes and activities such as Rivals, Squad Battles, Live Events, Objectives and SBCs. Loan Players are not normally included as standard items in regular Ultimate Team packs.
Game Editions and Promotions
Selected editions, preorder offers and promotional campaigns may grant Loan Player Items. Depending on the offer, these may be Match, Timed or Global Loans.
