FC 27 Kick Off mode allows you to quickly jump into a match against CPU or your friends.
Kick Off Mode

The FC 27 Kick-Off mode provides an easy and accessible way to jump straight into a match. It is ideal for those who want quick action without dealing with the complexity of other game modes. Once inside, players can pick from several match types such as exhibition games, tournaments, or custom cups.

How To Access FC 27 Kick Off
- From the main Football Club screen, navigate to [Kick Off];
Before starting a match, there are a few simple steps you should follow:
- Select a Side;
- Select a Match Type;
- Select Teams
- Select Kits
- Adjust team management, game, and controller settings;
- Advance to the match.
New in Kick-Off
The Kick-Off mode has remained the same in FC 27 compared to its predecessor.

Select a Side
When entering Kick-Off mode, the first step is to choose whether your team will play as Home or Away. In multiplayer matches, friends must also select their sides, either joining your team or playing against you. To invite them, press R2 or RT.
To keep track of your head-to-head results and stats against AI opponents, it is recommended to create a Kick-Off Name. Connecting it to your console account allows you to access your data from any system.
When choosing a side, you can either use an existing name or create a new one using the virtual keyboard. Once linked to your console account, your Kick-Off progress and statistics will automatically sync, ensuring consistent records across sessions.
How To Link Kick Off Names
- In the Select a Side screen, go to [Settings];
- Select [Link Kick Off Name];
- From the list of Kick Off Names, choose which one you’d like to link or merge.
Select a Match Type
Kick Off mode is not limited to exhibition. You can choose from a variety of match typecup finalss by pressing R1/RB in the first screen.

Team up for quick 5v5 matches in a fast-paced mode where every second counts and chaos rules the pitch.
House Rules
Rewrite the rules, play your way! Choose from inventive ways to experience FC, like Mystery Ball or Headers & Volleys. Or you can remove rules completely in a No Rules match. The pitch is your playground!
- Mystery Ball
One of FC’s most original modes! When the ball goes out of play, it returns as one of five ‘mystery balls’: a Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Speed, or All-Boosy ball. Each ball gives a boost to the dribbler and their team. Mystery ball point values also increase later in the match. Are you ready to try your luck? - King of the Hill
Hold the ball and run up the score! Gain possession of the ball, then remain inside the designated zones on the pitch to increase the value of your goals. Your goal value slowly ticks back to zero again outside the zones. Do you have what it takes to become the king? - No Rules
A free-spirited, rules-free match of football where the refs can’t fouls, offsides, or bookings. Everything is fair in this free-for-all mode. - Headers & Volleys
Test your in-air skills. Only goals scored via headers or volley earn points. - Survival
Only the strong survive. When a team scores a goal, a player from the goal-scoring team is ejected – excluding the keeper. Only two red cards are allowed per match. AI players are always ejected first. Do you have what it takes to outlast your opponent? - Long Range

Select Teams
On this screen, you can choose any two teams available in the game, including men’s and women’s teams, clubs, and national teams. Alternatively, you can opt for a random team by pressing Square/X.
There are two additional features you can use on this screen:
- Live Form
Live Form in FC 27 Kick Off mode syncs your team’s lineup and formation with your club’s real-life stats using an internet connection. It can even generate a match scenario based on your favorite club’s upcoming fixture. You can toggle this feature on or off at any time. - Advantage Settings
This feature lets you set the initial score and choose the desired difficulty level for your AI teammates. The difficulty setting affects how your AI teammates perform both on and off the ball. You can access Advantage Settings by pressing R3.
Select Kits
Each team has up to three kits available, and you can freely decide which ones to use. However, avoid selecting kits with similar colors, since that can make it difficult to tell the players apart during the match.
Make the Final Adjustments
Before starting the match, take a moment to review your setup. You may want to adjust your team lineup, formation, player roles, or substitutions, as well as game settings such as match length, difficulty, stadium, and weather conditions.
You can also explore pre-match statistics for both you and your opponent, including metrics like average possession, preferred attacking zones, and fastest goal scored.
