FC 27 GAUNTLET
Gauntlet is a knockout mode in FC 27 Ultimate Team where players used in earlier rounds cannot be selected again.
Gauntlet Explained
Gauntlet is a run based mode in Football Club 27 Ultimate Team that challenges your squad management and gameplay skills.
Each run has a set match limit, which may vary throughout the season and usually ranges from three to five matches. A loss does not end the run. Instead, you continue playing until you reach the match limit. The aim is to win as many matches as possible, since better results lead to better rewards.
After each match, players included in that match squad cannot be used again during the same run, including substitutes. This rule requires careful planning, squad depth management and strategic decision making after every match.
Because a loss does not immediately end the run, Gauntlet encourages you to build several squads and use a wider range of players. Most Gauntlets have no strict requirements, or only basic ones, allowing you to use players who might otherwise be overlooked in modes that favour only top tier talent.
This setup also makes packs more valuable. Even if you do not obtain a star player, an item that improves your third, fourth or fifth squad can still help you progress further in Gauntlet.
Gauntlet is not permanently available. It returns as a limited time event, with its match limit, entry conditions and rewards determined by the specific release.
