Consumable Items

FC 27 Consumables are single-use Ultimate Team Items that can be applied to eligible players or Managers to change a specific characteristic. Once applied, the Consumable Item is removed from your club.

Consumable Items sent to the club are stored in the corresponding Consumables section. Tradeable items may also be listed on the Transfer Market, subject to the capacity of the Transfer List.

There are three different types of FC 27 consumables:
  • Chemistry Styles;
  • Healing;
  • League Modifier.

How to Apply a Consumable
  1. From the main Ultimate Team screen, use R1/RB to go to the [Club] tab;
  2. Select [Enter Club], [Squad], and [Enter Squad];
  3. Choose a player or a manager and press Square/X;
  4. Select [Apply Consumable];
  5. Press R1/RB to navigate through the different categories;
  6. Select the desired consumable item and confirm.

Styles

Chemistry Styles determine which in-game attributes receive boosts from a player’s Chemistry. They do not increase the player’s Chemistry Points and do not reduce any base attributes. The size of each attribute boost depends on the player’s Chemistry Points. A player on zero Chemistry receives no attribute boost from their active Chemistry Style.

You can apply these styles to any player, adjusting their attributes to fit your squad’s needs. A player can receive multiple style changes, but only one can be active at a time. The active style remains until another is applied. If the player is traded, the new owner keeps the active style.

There are twenty-four chemistry styles in total: nineteen for outfield players and five for goalkeepers. Outfield styles work only for outfield players, and goalkeeper styles only for goalkeepers. These items also apply to In Form, Icon, and loan players.

Healing Cards

Healing

Healing Items are essential for reducing the recovery time of injured players.

Any player can get injured during a match, especially when fitness levels are low or the opponent plays aggressively. When this happens, the player’s card displays the number of matches they will miss.

Leaving the injured player in the reserves for the full recovery period will heal them naturally. However, if you want to use the player sooner, applying a healing item will speed up the process.

Injured players are marked with an “X.” Healing items can only be used on injured players, but you may apply as many as necessary.

There are two types of Healing Items: Gold Common and Gold Rare. Both work for all injury types, reducing downtime by two and five matches respectively.

League Modifier

Manager League Items are used to change the league affiliation of a manager.

Active Managers can contribute one Chemistry Point to eligible players who share their nationality or league. Manager League Items let you change the league displayed on a Manager Item, allowing it to provide chemistry to players from a different league.

Applying a Manager League Item permanently changes the league displayed on that Manager Item. When the Manager is assigned to the active squad, eligible players who share the Manager’s league or nationality can receive one Chemistry Point. Matching both does not provide two points to the same player.

Each application changes the league once. There is no usage limit, and the effect remains active until another league item is applied.

Frequently Asked Questions
FC 27 Consumables are items that can be used on players and managers to improve some of their characteristics.

There are three different types of FC 27 consumables:
  • Chemistry Styles;
  • Healing;
  • League Modifier.
Chemistry Style items let players decide which attributes will be influenced by chemistry.
Chemistry Style cards permanently change a player’s Chemistry Style until a different Chemistry Style is applied to that card.
Chemistry Styles provide their strongest boosts when a player has three Chemistry Points. A player on zero Chemistry receives no attribute boosts, although the applied style remains attached to the item.
Healing items are responsible for reducing the downtime of an injured player.
Yes. Injured players recover naturally when placed in the reserves and will become available once healed. If you need them sooner, you can apply multiple healing cards to speed up their recovery.
If you maintain your squad’s stamina and avoid overly aggressive opponents, injuries will be uncommon. When they do occur, recovery typically takes only one or two matches, making rare healing items that reduce downtime by five matches unnecessary in most cases.

Reserve common healing items for urgent situations. In most cases, relying on quality substitutes is a better option. Place the injured player in the reserves and replace them with another fit player.
Manager’s League items are responsible for modifying the league of a manager.
