FC 27 MATCH COINS
Several factors either boost or penalize the coins you receive at the end of each game.
FC 27 Match Coins Awarded
After each match, several performance and participation factors determine the number of coins a player receives. Understanding what increases or reduces your rewards can help you make better in-game decisions and maximise your earnings.
Match Coins are the coins awarded for participating in an Ultimate Team match. The total depends on several elements, including match duration, individual performance, match type, active bonuses and competition results. The calculation follows this formula:
Match Coins = (Skill Rewards × DNF Multiplier) + Completion Award + Competition Reward + Coin Boost
Here is a breakdown of each component.
Skill Rewards
Skill Rewards consist of bonuses for positive performance and penalties for negative actions. Successful contributions on the pitch earn FC 27 coins, while mistakes and disciplinary actions reduce your coin total.
Calculation Method:
Skill Rewards are determined by adding bonuses for actions such as goals scored, shots on target, successful tackles, corners, clean sheets, pass accuracy, possession and being named Man of the Match. Penalties are applied for goals conceded, fouls, cards and offsides.
The following table outlines the number of coins awarded or deducted for each performance metric:
| Performance | Pts/Unit | Max Units | Max Limit | |
| Scored Goals | +40 | 5 | +200 | |
| Shots on Target | +5 | 10 | +50 | |
| Successful Tackles | +1 | 20 | +20 | |
| Corners | +5 | 10 | +50 | |
| Clean Sheets | +75 | 1 | +75 | |
| Pass Accuracy % | +1 | 80 | +80 | |
| Possession % | +1 | 60 | +60 | |
| Man of the Match | +15 | 1 | +15 | |
| Goals Conceded | -20 | 4 | -80 | |
| Fouls | -5 | 4 | -20 | |
| Cards | -10 | 8 | -80 | |
| Offsides | -1 | 15 | -15 |
DNF Multiplier
The DNF Multiplier reflects both the player’s recent history of incomplete matches and the difficulty or importance of the selected game mode and opponent.
Calculation Method:
The initial multiplier is determined by the game mode and can use one of the following documented base values: 0.25, 0.36, 0.42, 0.50, 0.60, 0.63, 0.88, 0.93, 1.00 or 1.13.
For each incomplete match, the DNF component decreases by 0.25 × A, where A depends on the game mode. For each completed match, it increases by 0.02 × A until it reaches the maximum allowed value.
These are documented base values and should not be treated as a complete list of every number that may appear after DNF adjustments. The final value shown at the end of a match also depends on the player’s recent match history.
Maximum Limit:
The maximum DNF Multiplier depends on the game mode:
Rivals: 0.50 to 1.19
Online Single Match: 0.50 to 1.13
Completion Award
To earn the full Completion Award of 325 coins, you must finish the match. Leaving early reduces the reward according to the time played. In a DNF (Did Not Finish) situation, only the player or team that did not cause the disconnection receives completion coins, calculated according to the minutes played.
Calculation Method:
Completion Award = 325 × Minutes Played ÷ 90
Competition Reward
Competition Rewards are additional coins awarded in certain Ultimate Team modes and competitions. Their value depends on the competition, match type and the player’s results or progression.
Competition Rewards are separate from Skill Rewards and the Completion Award. They may apply in modes such as Rivals, Champions, Draft, Squad Battles or other competitions with an additional reward structure.
Coin Boost
Coin Boost items grant additional coins for each eligible match while they are active. They can be obtained through Objectives, Season rewards and other Ultimate Team content. Depending on the item, a Coin Boost can add between 500 and 1,000 coins per match.
Once activated, the boost is consumed according to its stated number of matches and applies only while the remaining uses are available.
