EA Sports FC is a series of football video games released by Electronic Arts, replacing the old FIFA franchise. FC 27 aims to offer the most exciting and immersive football gaming experience ever created.

The game is worldwide released for the following platforms:


FC 27 officially launches on Friday, September 25, but you don’t have to wait long to purchase it. Pre-orders are available from July 23, 2026 (5pm UK time) until the day before the release date. When you pre-order FC 27, the disc will be dispatched on the release day, or you can start playing at midnight if you opt for the digital version.

The benefit of pre-ordering is that you pay the same price while gaining access to exclusive offers. However, if you don’t plan to play the game regularly, it might be more economical to buy it later, particularly during the holiday season when prices often drop.

There are three FC 27 editions: Standard, Ultimate and Ultimate+. Those who pre order the two most expensive editions will be able to play the game up to seven days before the release of the Standard Edition. However, that is not the only difference. All editions offer exclusive content, such as special player items, while only Ultimate and Ultimate+ include FC Points.

FC 27 is not free-to-play, so you will need to purchase it or, on PC, subscribe to EA Play Pro. You can get it from a video game retailer or through your console’s store, either during the pre-order period or after the official release.

How to Buy a Digital Copy of FC 27
  1. Visit the EA App, Steam, Epic Games, or your console store, and search for ‘FC 27’.
  2. Choose one of the editions and complete the payment.
  3. Start the download if it’s available. If you pre-ordered the game, check your console’s library to find out when the pre-download becomes available. Typically, PC and Xbox downloads are accessible several weeks in advance, while PlayStation users may need to wait until closer to the early access date. Those who installed the EA Play trial will need to download a small file to unlock the full game.
  4. Log in to your EA account and start playing.

Make sure to double-check which account you are using before placing an order. If you share your console with others, rewards will only be credited to the account that purchased the game, and they cannot be transferred. It is also essential that the account matches the one you currently use; otherwise, you risk losing progress from previous editions, including your FC Points balance.

Standard and Ultimate Edition pre-orders are accepted until launch. However, the Ultimate+ Edition and certain Ultimate Edition rewards are only available until August 31, 2026.
Digital console versions unlock at midnight local time on September 25 for the Standard Edition and September 18 for the Ultimate and Ultimate+ Editions, except on PC, where it unlocks worldwide one day earlier at 1 PM UK time.
The full game is unlocked at midnight in your console’s region. This applies to both editions. That’s why Australian players can start playing FC 27 before European players. PC players get access at midnight UK time, which will be a different time depending on where you are.
When you pre order FC 27, you don’t pay any extra cost. You will pay the same as you would pay if you buy it in the release date.
