FC 27 RUSH
FC 27 Rush lets you play 5v5 matches in any core mode.
Rush Mode
Available across all core modes in FC 27, the 5v5 Rush experience offers a fast and social way to play together. With smaller teams, more involvement for each player, and custom communication tools, Rush keeps you close to the action.
How To Access FC 27 Rush
- From the main menu, open the game mode in which you want to play Rush;
- Select [Rush].
Playing Rush
Rush is a 5v5 variant available across several core modes.
Football Ultimate Team Rush
Rush offers a different way to build and play in Football Ultimate Team. Create a 5v5 squad with friends or other players, with each user controlling a selected Player Item, and compete for rewards in fast-paced matches.
Clubs Rush
Clubs Rush removes AI-controlled outfield players so you can compete alongside your teammates and other Clubs players. Victories earn Victory Points for your Club and help increase your individual Rush Rank, bringing you closer to seasonal rewards.
5v5 Kick-Off Rush
Play short 5v5 matches in Kick-Off Rush by choosing a club or nation and facing AI-controlled opponents or friends locally.
Manager Career Rush
Track the progress of your Youth Academy through playable 5v5 Rush tournaments during the season.
Rush in Ultimate Team
Ultimate Team Rush is a 5v5 experience with AI-controlled goalkeepers. You can team up with up to three friends or enter alone and be matched with other players. Each user controls one selected Player Item, while squad choices and match performance contribute to Rush Points.
Events
Rush Events in Ultimate Team may restrict eligible Player Items according to their Rarity, Attributes, league, nation, club, or other origin-based requirements. Each Event contributes to the available Rush Objectives and rewards.
Squad Building
Rush is also a collaborative squad-building mode. During the selection phase, you and your teammates have 90 seconds to choose Player Items that meet the Event requirements and maximise your Rush Points. Duplicate players cannot be selected by members of the same team.
Earning Rush Points
Rush Points are used to progress through Rush Objectives and earn rewards. Points can be earned by playing and winning matches, as well as by completing optional Block challenges during the squad-building phase. Blocks vary between Events and provide additional points or bonuses for meeting specific requirements.
Rush Objectives
Each week, a Rush Objective Group rewards players according to the Rush Points they collect. Playing Rush Events and completing Block requirements increases your total and unlocks further weekly objectives and rewards.
Matchmaking
Players can form parties of up to four users and are matched with other players to complete the 5v5 team. Matchmaking is event-specific and considers individual and team skill levels. If a player disconnects or leaves, AI takes over that player’s role. The match ends if every member of the team leaves.
Matchmaking Delays
Players who repeatedly leave Rush matches early may receive matchmaking delays lasting between 15 minutes and one hour. Completing matches helps remove these penalties.
How it Works
Team Composition and Goalkeepers
- Teams: Four user-controlled outfield players and one goalkeeper.
- Disconnection: AI takes over the disconnected player’s role.
- Goalkeeper commands: The Captain can issue goalkeeper commands using Y/Triangle and RS/R3.
- At kick-off, the ball is launched randomly from the halfway line, adding variety to the start of each match.
- Players can adopt flexible roles during a match and return to their previous positions after stoppages.
- Clubs Rush: Team up with teammates, climb the Rush ranks and earn rewards.
- Ultimate Team Rush: Build collaborative squads, compete in Events and earn Rush Points.
- Kick-Off Rush: Choose a club or nation and play 5v5 matches against AI or local friends.
- Manager Career Rush: Develop Youth Academy players in playable 5v5 tournaments.
- When a player pauses the game, teammates see a Pause icon above that player. If the paused player has possession, teammates can request a pass and the AI may attempt to deliver it.
- Rush includes four Quick Chat categories, each containing four messages to improve communication between teammates.
- Pitch Size: 63.7 by 46.6 metres.
- Match Length: Matches last seven minutes with no half-time. Tied matches go to extra time and, if necessary, a shootout.
- Offside: Offside rules apply in the attacking third.
- Cards: Blue cards temporarily sideline a player for one minute after a serious foul.
- Substitutions: Substitutions are not available, so managing stamina during the match is important.
