The Shapeshifters promo is one of the longest and latest events of the FUT cycle. It is most recognized by its themed cards but the event also introduces SBCs, promo packs and objectives.

These special items are assigned to a select group of players who received unique position changes and boosts to create game-changing upgrades for your Ultimate Team.

Release Dates


The Shapeshifters event was released for the first time in FIFA 20.
Release dates for FIFA 23 are official.

Eight Shapeshifter players, three Flashback players (Trent, R Pereira and Richarlison), three Player Moments players (Vardy, Reus and Correa), two EOAE players (Fernandinho and Bale), six Icon Moments players, twenty themed SBCs rewarding up to 50k Rare Players Packs and twenty-two upgrade SBCs (5x 60-64, 3x 71-74, 5x 75+, 81+ PP, 82+, 82+ PP, 82-88, 85+, 85+ PP, 5x 85+, TOTW, 92+ Moments, 92+ Moments PP, 93+ TOTS players).

Dynamic Objectives
Twelve untradeable Shapeshifters players, Summer Swaps and six other objectives.

Themed Players Items
56 Shapeshifters items available via FUT packs, splitted into four teams and four mini-releases, including Kanté, Sané, Marcelo, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Twenty other players were available via SBCs and objecives.

Shapeshifters cards are unique items assigned to a select group of players who have received unique position changes and boosts to create game-changing upgrades for your Ultimate Team.
Shapeshifters were released for the first time ever in FIFA 20.

No. Contrary to dynamic cards, these item do not change after being released.
Player items with Premium Chemistry have the same chemistry qualities as Heroes, in addition to their Club link. They will receive Full Chemistry when in their designated position and give two League links instead of one.
While a player gets his Shapfeshifter item in packs, it is impossible to find his regular card there.
You can have multiple items of the same player in your club. However, you cannot use them in your squad at the same time.
