Pre-Order

You can pre-order FC 25 as soon as it becomes available. Pre-orders will start on July 17, 2024.
If your choice is to buy a physical copy of FC 25, we don’t need to explain how to do it: go to a retail store or order from the internet, insert the disc in your console, log in to your Origin account (or create a new one) and start playing it. On the other hand, if you opted in for the digital version of FC 25, things are slightly more tricky:

How to Buy a Digital Copy of FC 25
  1. Go to the Origin, Steam, Epic Games, or console store of your region and search by ‘FC 25’;
  2. Choose one of the editions and make the payment;
  3. Start the download if available. If pre-ordering the game, go to the console’s library to see when the pre-download will become available. Usually, the Xbox download is made available several weeks before, while PlayStation users have to wait almost until the early access date. Those who installed the EA Play trial need to download a small file to unlock the full game.
  4. Log in to your Origin account and start playing it.
Remember to double-check the account you are using before placing an order. If you share your console with someone, the rewards will be assigned only to the account used to buy the game, and there is no way to change this. The account should also match the one you already have. Otherwise, you will lose your progress from previous editions, including FC Points balance.
You can pre order in the biggest retail stores, like Amazon, Game and Best Buy, or directly on the console’s store.
Pre orders are accepted until the day before the launch date.
If you pre order the physical version, the disc will be dispatched so you receive it on the launch date. The digital version is playable at midnight on the release day.
Contrary to the FC 25 trial, the full game is unlocked at midnight in your console’s region. This applies to both editions. That’s why Australian players start playing FC 25 first than European players.
When you pre order FC 25, you don’t pay any extra cost. You will pay the same as you would pay if you buy it in the release date.

No. You can order the game but you won’t get the free offers.
Pre-download is available for those who pre-ordered the game. Go to your console’s library to see when it will become available. If you are buying the game after the launch date, a download is immediately available.
No. If you are an EA Play subscriber and you already downloaded the trial, all you have to do is to download a small file on the launch date (or Ultimate Team early access date) to unlock the full game.
It depends on your platform and internet connection. Most likely, it will take around one hour to download the full game. You can try some features (not Ultimate Team) before the download ends.

If you are downloading the trial, we strongly recommend waiting until the download is complete. If you play while downloading, you will be wasting part of your 10 hours limit.
You need around 100Gb of available storage space.
Yes. These offers are available for pre-orders and expire on the release date.
Hero items are an exclusive offer for those who order the Ultimate Edition before August 20, 2024 at 9pm PT for PC and on August 20, 2024 at 11:59pm at consumer local time for all other platforms.
All pre-orders come with loan player items and a career mode boost. Ultimate Edition also includes early access, FC Points and untradeable special items. You can see the full list in our dedicated page.
With the exception of the Player Evolution Slot, which is only delivered on September 27, and the GOTG item, which is delivered immediately after the pre-order, all other offers become available on September 20, or on the day you start playing if it’s after that date. The Hero item receives an upgrade to an improved version on November 29.

No. Ultimate Team mode is available in any edition.
No, FC 25 is not free to play. You have to buy it. In 2025 it will be made available for free on the EA Play catalogue and eventually on PlayStation Plus.
Yes, there is a FC game for Nintendo.
If you share your console with someone, the rewards will be assigned only to the account used to buy the game. There is no way to change this.
If you’re a FIFA/FC enthusiast, purchasing FC 25 is a no-brainer. However, be prepared for the typical problems that come with the game, such as sluggish servers and numerous bugs. On the flip side, if you’re a casual player seeking a football/soccer simulation video game, FC 25 remains a solid option. If you’re not particularly fond of football, there are plenty of other games that can bring you more joy than this one.

Prices

Prices vary depending on factors such as platform, region, and store. As a reference, the regular price for consoles is €109.99, $99.99, £99.99 (Ultimate Edition) and €79.99, $69.99, £69.99 (Standard Edition).
No, for the majority of countries, prices remain the same compared to FC 24.
If you don’t want to buy FC 25 on its launch date because of its high price, the best thing to do is to wait until Black Friday or the Holiday season.
FC 25 prices during Black Friday usually drop up to 50%.
Football Club is not available for free, so you will need to purchase it unless you are an EA Play Pro subscriber. FC 25 may become accessible on EA Play, Steam, and other platforms towards the end of its annual cycle.

Early Access

Ultimate Edition is available from September 20 at midnight. If you want to buy it, you will need to pre-order it and do it before the official release date.

£99.99/€99.99/$109.99 for consoles and £89.99/€99.99/$99.99 for PC Origin/Steam. It represents 25% more than the standard edition. However, EA Play members and returning users can save 10% when pre-ordering this edition.
If you’re a dedicated Ultimate Team enthusiast and don’t mind investing a bit more, the Ultimate Edition might pique your interest. It provides early access to the entire game, along with additional perks such as FC Points. However, it’s essential to note that the Standard Edition also includes access to the FUT mode
Most of the content, including FC Points, is available to download on the early access release date.
The Webstart is scheduled to nine days before the official launch. However, only returning users have access to this early access. The other ones have to wait until the game release date.
As long as you meet the requirements, all you have to do is to access the Web App website or update the app you have installed on your mobile device. Note that you’ll need to start on the web app before you can use the mobile app.
No. If you played Ultimate Team in FC 24, the Web App early access will be unlocked to you. However, you will need to log in on your console or PC at least once before October 14 to continue using both apps.
There are several ways to add FC Points to your Web App wallet during the early access: clicking on the top right green icon; adding them using the console/PC, or claiming a console code.
Login Verification is a mandatory step before you can access the FC 25 Web/Companion App. If you never activated it, just go to your Origin account and enable it. Then, just confirm that was sent to you. As simple as that.
You need to subscribe to one of the EA Play plans and download the trial from the console’s store.
A yearly subscription costs £19.99/€24.99/$29.99, while the price of a monthly subscription is £3.99/€3.99/$4.99. However, if you only want a subscription for the month in which the FC 24 trial is active, the price will be as low as one dollar. Payment will be automatically renewed every month or year depending on what membership duration you choose.
EA Play subscribers enjoy free and immediate access to ‘The Play List,’ with the condition that they maintain their subscription. They can also download and play a variety of EA games, including FC 25, before the official release. The program offers additional benefits like discounts and in-game rewards.
FC 25 EA Play early access will be unlocked on September 20, 2024, at around midnight UK time. The windows pre-load time depends on the platform. To play the early access, subscribers just need to go to the store, search by ‘Football Club 25’, select your edition and press ‘Trial’. PC, Steam, and Epic Games players can also do it through the EA Play Hub App.
When using EA Play trials, players get a taste of the full game for a limited time before its official release. If they decide to buy FC 25 upon its release, they can seamlessly continue from where they left off – their progress and statistics will transfer. Any saved games and earned achievements/trophies during the Early Access period will become available as soon as they purchase and log into the EA Servers with the final version of the game.
If you desire unrestricted early access to the game, the Pro Plan subscription is the way to go. You’ll have access to the full game as long as your subscription is active, even if you haven’t purchased it separately. However, it’s essential to note that this plan is exclusively available on the PC-Windows platform. For users with two consoles from different generations, a single EA Play subscription allows for up to 20 hours of gameplay. Simply download the trial for both consoles using the same account.
Participation in the closed beta is by invitation only. While we can’t promise you an invitation, you can enhance your chances of being selected by ensuring your contact preferences and game tester program information are up to date.
FC 25 Beta is expected in mid-August and will last for around 3 weeks. Usually, EA sends two batches of codes: the first on the second week of August and the other one two weeks later.
Each invitation includes access to the Kick-Off mode and Clubs, Career Mode, and Ultimate Team. All these game modes are unlocked in the last few days.
To be eligible for selection, players must be at least 18 years old, have a console account registered in the UK or North America, own a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S console, maintain an internet connection, and possess an active subscription to either Xbox Live or PS Plus, depending on their chosen platform. Additionally, players are more likely to be chosen if they have a history of regular play in FC 24.
When players accept the invitation, they are required to comply with the terms of the closed beta agreement, which includes a confidentiality clause. This clause prohibits participants from sharing any information about the game outside of the dedicated forum. Live streaming and capturing images of closed beta gameplay are strictly prohibited.
Assuming you have received an invitation with a code, all you need to do is to go to your console’s store and use that code to start the download: ‘redeem codes’ for PlayStation; or ‘use code’ for Xbox.
To become a playtester, you should register for the EA playtesting program, apply for a particular session, and await an invitation. You can find comprehensive instructions in our step-by-step guide provided above
Yes, it is. Always double-check if the site you are accessing starts with www.ea.com before inserting any credentials.
Selected players will receive an email one week before the session. In the case of FC 25, playtests occur from May to July.
Enhance your likelihood by enrolling for as many Playtest sessions as your schedule permits. Maintain honesty in your responses and stay vigilant with your email notifications. EA is seeking players of diverse skill levels, genders, experiences, and backgrounds. You don’t need to be a pro or even a frequent gamer; they value input from all.
Yes. Remote playtests are also available, so you can participate from the comfort of your own home.
If you are selected for a Playtest but can no longer attend, simply reply to the selection email with the date and time of your Playtest.

Beta

It is expected to go out on August 6 and lasts for around three weeks.
You need to be invited and dowload the game.
You can only play the game modes that are unlocked to you. Still, even if you haven’t been selected to test UT, you will have a chance to try it in the last week when all game modes are released for everyone (from August 19).
If you get invited, most likely it will be for the game modes you play most. However, this doesn’t happen all the time.
It’s only available in English. That’s one of the reasons why only players from countries in which English is the native language are invited more often.
The file you have to download is 60.58 Gb, no matter the game modes for which you have been selected.
No. Generally speaking, the players and ratings used in the FC 25 Closed Beta are the ones from FC 24. Even if you find differences, it doesn’t mean that those ratings will be used on the final game release.
No progress made on the FC 25 Beta carries over to the final game. As soon as the final version is released, everything is reset.
For players, it’s their first opportunity to experience the new title, but for EA, it holds much greater significance. FC 24 is a highly complex project that amalgamates various game modes developed over the years. Different teams are responsible for specific components of the game, which may or may not be integrated into the final product based on deadlines, quality, and other economic and strategic factors. This means these teams aren’t always focused on the next title.

Comprehensive testing of the entire project is essential to ensure it functions correctly. That’s why Electronic Arts typically invites a group of volunteers to test the game. After making adjustments based on initial feedback, the Alpha version is released. The official game release occurs at the end of September, often accompanied by an update intended to rectify any issues identified after the physical copies are printed. In between all of this lies the Beta testing phase.
To receive a code, you need to have been selected. Pay attention to your mailbox to see if you were invited. Only selected players can play the Beta.
Only players who were invited will be able to play the FC25 Beta. EA will send two batches of codes: the first on the second week of August, right before the Beta release date, and the other one two weeks later. Usually, it is available to preload for beta testers 24 hours before the opening date.
Follow these two simple steps:

Update Your Contact Preferences
This will inform EA that you are available to receive emails from them and eventually the FC 25 Beta invitation

  1. Go to the EA website;
  2. Click in the top-right avatar icon and login into your account;
  3. Click in the avatar again and select [Account Settings];
  4. Go to [Email Preferences] and check the box ‘Yes, email me about products, news, events and promotions consistent with EA Privacy and Cookie Policy’;
  5. Confirm that FC 24 and Ultimate Team are both checked on the [Preferred Games] box (if you can’t see them, click in [Add More]);
  6. Check your [Preferred Platforms];
  7. Click on the [Update] button at the bottom of the page.

Update Your Game Tester Program
This will inform EA that you are available to test FC and other games

  1. After updating your contact preferences, click in the [Community Playtesting] button;
  2. Follow the instructions to sign up.
There is not much more you can do. Your odds aren’t higher if you live close to EA offices, played thousands of FC 24 matches or are a professional player. Game advisors cannot authorize and provide email invites if you did not receive one. Be aware that updating your contact preferences and your game test program may help but does not guarantee you an invite.
Before anything else you need to be invited. The email sent to you includes a unique Beta code that you will use to download the game.

PlayStation
  1. Select the PlayStation Store icon from the home screen;
  2. Select [More] and then [Redeem Code];
  3. Select [Account Settings];
  4. Enter the 12-character code and start the download.
Xbox
  1. Go to [Games] under [Store];
  2. Select [More] and then [Redeem Code];
  3. Select [Use a Code] and sign in if prompted;
  4. Enter the 25-character code and start the download.
You must receive a direct invitation to participate in the FC 25 Beta. It’s not available for purchase or transfer between players. Each Beta code is uniquely generated for a specific player and cannot be shared or used on other accounts. If you come across offers to purchase Beta invitations, please be aware that they are not legitimate, as these invitations are always linked to the Origin account of the owner.
Keep a close eye on your email inbox, the one associated with your EA account, to check if you’ve received an invitation. Be sure to check all your email folders, including spam. If you’ve changed your email address or no longer have access to the one linked to your account, update your email information to ensure you receive notifications.

EA sends all Beta-related communications from [email protected]. It’s important to mark this address as a safe sender to ensure you receive their emails. Additionally, periodically review your spam, junk, or social folders to avoid missing any important messages from [email protected]. Always exercise caution and never trust emails from a different domain or share your login credentials
When players accept the invitation, they are required to adhere to the terms of the closed beta agreement, which includes a confidentiality clause. Additionally, live streaming and capturing images of closed beta gameplay are strictly prohibited and in violation of the rules.
If you don’t fulfil the confidentiality term, you will lose access to the current beta and to any other, that’s released afterwards. Other measures can be taken for more serious cases, like copyright claims and permanent bans.

Trial

The FC 25 trial is a version exclusively for EA Play members, limited to 10 hours, and released seven days before the official launch.
EA Play is a paid subscription program that gives access to the following offers:
  • Early access to a selection of EA games;
  • Free unlimited access to a selection of games;
  • 10% discount on EA digital purchases;
  • Access to exclusive in-game rewards.
It’s a former name for EA Play. Other services had similar offers but different names:
  • Season Ticker (2011-2015);
  • EA Access (2015-2020);
  • EA Play (2021-).
EA Play subscribers have free instant access at any time, as long as they remain subscribed to the service, to a selection of games known as ‘The Play List.’ This selection includes the latest EA games, as well as third-party games, DLCs, and expansion packs.
The Play List is an expanding collection of EA’s top games for consoles and PC, available for download and play as long as you have an active EA Play membership. While some titles can be played offline, occasional reconnection to EA is necessary to confirm your active membership status. These games are directly downloaded to your system to ensure optimal performance and can remain accessible as long as your EA Play membership remains active.
EA Play subscribers enjoy a 10% discount on all EA digital content, which includes full games, season passes, DLC, as well as sales and promotions. This discount extends to digital FC 25 and FC Points, providing EA Play members (both Basic and Pro plans) with cost savings on these offerings.

You don’t need to take any action. Your new Ultimate Team rewards will be waiting for you in your UT store every month, as long as you are using the account linked to your EA Play and Origin.

In our opinion, if you’re a fan of EA games, subscribing to EA Play is a great choice. It offers savings when purchasing EA Sports FC 25, provides access to the trial, and can quickly pay off if you typically buy FC Points. The only aspect we don’t find particularly appealing is the in-game rewards.

  • Log in to the Microsoft account linked with your Xbox;

  • Select the button labeled [Manage];
  • Turn off [Auto-Renew]
  • Confirm your choice by selecting [Confirm Cancellation].
To cancel EA Play on your Origin follow these steps:
  • Use a browser or the Origin application to log in to your Steam account;
  • From the navigation bar select [EA Account and Billing];
  • Choose [EA Play];
  • Click in ‘Cancel my Membership’.
To cancel EA Play on your Steam follow these steps:
  • Use a browser or the Steam application to log in to your Steam account;
  • Navigate to the [Recurring Subscriptions] menu and go to ‘EA Play’;
  • Choose [Cancel my Subscription]
  • Confirm your choice by clicking [Apply].
If you choose to cancel, you can still enjoy The Play List games, utilize the discount, and participate in any available Play First Trials until your membership expires. Please note that there are no refunds for monthly or yearly membership fees, regardless of the cancellation date. When you cancel, any games or content you purchased with your membership discount will remain accessible. However, you will lose access to The Play List. If you acquired DLC for a free game, you will need to either purchase the base game separately or renew your membership to regain access to your DLC.
For the EA Play Basic plan:
  • FC 25 trial will remain available until your membership expires or the game goes out;
  • FC 25 full game will be yours as long as you buy it;
  • FC 25 free to play will remain live while you have an active subscription.
For the EA Play Pro plan:
  • FC 25 trial is not available for Pro since you have access to the full game;
  • FC 25 full game will be yours as long as you have an active subscription.;
  • FC 25 free to play will remain live while you have an active subscription.
EA Play has two tiers of membership:

  • Basic ($4.99/month or $29.99/year)
    available for all platforms
  • Pro ($14.99/month or $99.99/year)
    Only available for Origin.
EA Play Pro subscribers gain complimentary and immediate access to the Ultimate Edition of FC 25 starting from the early access launch. They are not required to purchase the game because this version is already the final edition without any restrictions (there is no timer in the Pro plan). It will remain accessible as long as they maintain an active subscription.

Players can join with a free Xbox Live Silver account or without PlayStation Plus but will need to upgrade to use the online features of any games in the collection (like online multiplayer).
Yes. EA Play is available to members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC as part of their membership benefits at no additional cost.
The membership is linked to the Gamertag/PSN ID, enabling players to utilize their account on any console where they’ve logged in. When an Xbox or PlayStation is set as a home console, any account using that console can download, install, and play The Play List games with that membership. Trials of new EA games and a 10% member discount will solely be available through the associated account.

Ultimate Edition includes seven days of early access, which means players can start playing from September 20, 2024.

Only those who have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition before August 20, receive untradeable Hero player items. The Prime Hero item is only delivered on November 28.
No. Weekly UT Packs are no anymore one of the Standard or Ultimate Edition offers.

If you usually don’t play UT, then you definitely shouldn’t buy the most expensive edition. On other hand, it may be worth it if you want to take advantage of the early access and use FC Points to boost your team.
No. It isn’t available any option to upgrade. However, you can cancel your Standard Edition pre-order and replace it with the Ultimate Edition.

An Ambassador is a very popular player used by EA to promote their game. Ambassadors’ images feature on UT pack covers, game mode screens, FC marketing campaigns and eventually on the FC cover.

Usually, each FIFA/FC features from 3 to 16 ambassadors, but in FC 25 it has more than 30 athletes It may include former players.
The first ambassadors are announced in mid-July when the new title is revealed.
A special package is crafted as a gift to FC 25 ambassadors and influencers. They receive this gift one week before the game release as a thank you and appreciation for their dedication and passion. Each case contains a PlayStation console with the FC pre-installed game and an Ultimate Team Kit.
