Pre-Order

You can pre-order FC 27 as soon as it becomes available. Pre-orders will start on July 23, 2026.
If you’ve decided to purchase a physical copy of FC 27, the process is straightforward: visit a retail store or order online, insert the disc into your console, log in to your EA App account (or create a new one), and start playing. However, if you opted for the digital version of FC 27, the steps are a bit more involved:

  1. Visit the EA App, Steam, Epic Games, or your console store, and search for ‘FC 27’.
  2. Choose one of the editions and complete the payment.
  3. Start the download if it’s available. If you pre-ordered the game, check your console’s library to find out when the pre-download becomes available. Typically, PC and Xbox downloads are accessible several weeks in advance, while PlayStation users may need to wait until closer to the early access date. Those who installed the EA Play trial will need to download a small file to unlock the full game.
  4. Log in to your EA account and start playing.

Make sure to double-check which account you are using before placing an order. If you share your console with others, rewards will only be credited to the account that purchased the game, and they cannot be transferred. It is also essential that the account matches the one you currently use; otherwise, you risk losing progress from previous editions, including your FC Points balance.
You can pre order in the biggest retail stores, like Amazon, Game and Best Buy, or directly on the console’s store.
Standard and Ultimate Edition pre-orders are accepted until launch. However, the Ultimate+ Edition and certain Ultimate Edition rewards are only available until August 31, 2026.

It is not possible to upgrade the Standard or Ultimate Edition to the Ultimate Plus Edition after purchase.
The full game is unlocked at midnight in your console’s region. This applies to both editions. That’s why Australian players can start playing FC 27 before European players. PC players get access earlier, which will be a different time depending on where you are.
When you pre order FC 27, you don’t pay any extra cost. You will pay the same as you would pay if you buy it in the release date.
You can order the game but you won’t get the free offers.
Pre-download is available for those who pre-ordered the game. Go to your console’s library to see when it will become available. If you are buying the game after the launch date, a download is immediately available.
No. If you’re an EA Play subscriber and have already downloaded the trial, simply download a small update on the launch day (or Ultimate Team early access day) to unlock the full game.
The download time varies depending on your platform and internet speed, but it typically takes about an hour to get the full game. Some features (excluding Ultimate Team) can be accessed before the download finishes.

For the trial, it’s highly recommended to wait until the download is complete. Playing while it’s still downloading will eat into your 10-hour limit.
You need around 100Gb of available storage space.
Some rewards are exclusive to pre-orders, while others are included with the Ultimate and Ultimate+ Editions. Certain rewards require an order by August 31, and the Ultimate+ Edition is unavailable after that date.
Standard Edition players can receive the FC 26 92+ OVR ICON Player Item by pre-ordering before launch. Ultimate Edition players must pre-order by August 31, 2026 at 16:00 UTC to receive the Early Bird ICON offers. The Ultimate Plus Edition is only available until the same deadline.t 31.

No. Ultimate Team mode is available in any edition.
The full version of FC 27 is not free-to-play. However, FC 27 Lite is a free-to-download preview featuring selected game modes, such as Kick-Off, with the option to upgrade to the full game. Its release is scheduled for September 25, 2026 at 16:00 UTC.
Yes, there is a FC game for both Nintendo consoles but Ultimate Plus Edition is not available.

Prices vary depending on factors such as platform, region, and store. As a reference, the regular price for consoles is €159.99, $149.99, £139.99 (Ultimate Plus Edition), €109.99, $99.99, £99.99 (Ultimate Edition) and €79.99, $69.99, £69.99 (Standard Edition).
No, in most countries, prices are unchanged compared to FC 26.
If you don’t want to buy FC 27 on its launch date because of its high price, the best thing to do is to wait until Black Friday or the Holiday season.

FC 27 Lite is a free-to-download limited preview available from launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, EA app, Steam and Epic Games Store. It provides access to selected modes and does not include the complete game.

EA Play Pro members on PC can access the full EA Play Pro Edition while their membership remains active. The complete game may also be added to the standard EA Play catalogue later in its annual cycle.
EA Play subscribers and returning users have access to a few discounts. However, if you really want to save, the best you can do is to follow our method.

Early Access

Ultimate Editions are available from September 18 at midnight (September 17 at 1pm UK for PC). If you want to buy it, you will need to pre-order it and do it before the official release date.

Those who pre-ordered FC 27 can go at any time to the console’s library to see when the pre-download becomes available. Usually, the PC and Xbox download is made available several weeks before, while PlayStation users have to wait almost until the early access date.

No. If you played Ultimate Team in FC 26, the Web App early access will be unlocked to you. However, you will need to log in on your console or PC at least once before November 13 to continue using both apps.
There are several ways to add FC Points to your Web App wallet during the early access: clicking on the top right green icon; adding them using the console/PC, or claiming a console code.
Login Verification is a mandatory step before you can access the FC 27 Web/Companion App. If you never activated it, just go to your EA account and enable it. Then, just confirm that was sent to you. As simple as that.
You can play the full game from September 18 by purchasing the Ultimate or Ultimate Plus Edition in time for early access. Alternatively, EA Play members can use the limited ten-hour trial once it becomes available. Eligible returning players may also access Ultimate Team through the Web and Companion Apps before launch, although matches cannot be played through those apps.
EA Play subscribers enjoy free and immediate access to ‘The Play List,’ with the condition that they maintain their subscription. They can also access selected new-release trials, including the FC 27 trial when available. The program offers additional benefits like discounts and in-game rewards.
When using EA Play trials, players get a taste of the full game for a limited time before its official release. If they decide to buy FC 27 upon its release, they can seamlessly continue from where they left off – their progress and statistics will transfer. Any saved games and earned achievements/trophies during the Early Access period will become available as soon as they purchase and log into the EA Servers with the final version of the game.
If you seek unrestricted early access to the game, the Pro Plan subscription is the optimal choice. This plan grants you access to the full game as long as your subscription remains active, even if you haven’t purchased it separately. However, it’s important to highlight that this option is available exclusively on the PC-Windows platform.

For users with two consoles from different generations, a single EA Play subscription allows for up to 20 hours of gameplay. You can easily download the trial for both consoles using the same account.
Players selected for the FC 27 Beta are invited to access modes such as Kick-Off, Learn to Play, Online Seasons, Co-Op Seasons, Online Friendlies, Tournaments, and at least one of the following: Club (previously Pro Clubs), Manager/Player Mode, or Ultimate Team. All these game modes are unlocked in the last few days.
To be eligible for selection, players must be at least 18 years old and have a console account registered in the UK or North America. They should own a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S console, maintain an internet connection, and have an active subscription to either Xbox Live or PS Plus, depending on their chosen platform. Additionally, players are more likely to be selected if they have a consistent history of regular play in FC 26.

If you are selected for a Playtest but can no longer attend, simply reply to the selection email with the date and time of your Playtest.

Beta

Video game developers create games through a series of distinct stages, often called alpha, beta, and release. You may also encounter terms like “limited regional launches” and “playtests” depending on the title.

During the beta stage, the game is functional and largely playable, featuring most of the content, features, and modes. The beta version might include a few playable characters, a demo mission, and some online multiplayer options.

Developers use beta tests to gather player feedback, fix bugs, and enhance connectivity before the official launch. There are two main types of beta tests:

  • Closed Betas
     restricted beta test you have to be selected to join.
  • Open Betas
     a beta test anyone can join.
The FC 27 Closed Beta starts on August 5, 2026 at 5 p.m. UTC and ends on August 25, 2026 at 5 p.m. UTC. For Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 players, it starts one day later.
You must be selected by EA, receive a personal Beta code through the email linked to your EA Account, redeem the code on the assigned platform and download the game. Signing up for EA Playtesting or marketing emails does not guarantee access.
If you’re chosen to participate in a closed beta, you will receive an email containing a beta code.

A beta code is a combination of letters and numbers that grants access to most closed beta tests. Learn how to redeem your beta code for your selected platform.
Only if Ultimate Team is included among the modes assigned to you. Your invitation email indicates which game modes you can access. Everyone receives access to The Grounds when using a supported platform, but access to other modes may be limited. Starting August 18, Ultimate Team and all other game modes will be available to every participant.

Once these adjustments are made, the Alpha version is released. The complete game generally launches by the end of September, followed by updates to address any post-production issues. During this process, the Beta phase provides an additional opportunity to polish the game before its official release.
To receive a code, you need to have been selected. Pay attention to your mailbox to see if you were invited. Only selected players can play the Beta.
Only players who were invited will be able to play the FC 27 Beta. The first FC 27 Closed Beta invitations were sent on August 4, 2026. EA may send additional invitations during the testing period, but further batches are not guaranteed. Usually, it is available to preload for beta testers 24 hours before the opening date.

  2. Click in the top-right avatar icon and login into your account;
  3. Click in the avatar again and select [Account Settings];
  4. Go to [Communication Preferences] and turn On ‘Email me about EA’s products, news, events, and promotions’;
  5. Confirm that ‘FC 27’ and ‘EA SPORTS FC Ultimate Team’ are both checked on the [Favorite Games] box (if you can’t see them, click in [Add More]);
  6. Check your [Preferred Platforms];
  7. Click on the [Save] button at the bottom of the page.
The Frequency dropdown menu is used to set the frequency of emails you’d like to receive from us.

Under Favorite Games, you can choose the games you want to hear about, then select [Save] to confirm your choices. That way you’ll only get beta information about the games you want to play.

You can also set your Preferred Platforms and then select [Save] to confirm your choices. Make sure to choose the platforms you play on. If you choose the wrong platform, you might get a beta code for a platform you don’t play on, meaning you won’t be able to join the beta test.
There is no guaranteed way to receive a code. Registering for EA Playtesting and enabling EA marketing emails makes you available for selection, but EA chooses the participants. EA advisors cannot issue a code or confirm whether you will be invited.

PC (EA app)
  1. Open the EA app and sign in to your EA Account;
  2. Click the [Menu] icon (≡) in the top left corner;
  3. Select [Redeem Code];
  4. Enter your product code and click [Next] to confirm.
You must receive a direct invitation to participate in the FC 27 Beta. These invitations are not available for purchase, transfer, or exchange between players. Each Beta code is generated specifically for a player and is tied to their EA account. If you encounter offers to buy Beta invitations, be cautious, as these are not legitimate. All Beta invitations are non-transferable and cannot be used with other accounts or players.
Keep a close watch on the email associated with your EA account to see if you’ve received an invitation. Ensure you check all folders, including spam. If your email has changed, update your account details to receive notifications.

EA sends all Beta-related emails from [email protected], so it’s wise to mark this as a safe sender. Additionally, be sure to check your spam, junk, or social folders for any communication from [email protected]. Always be cautious with messages from unknown senders and never share your login details with anyone.
When players join the FC 27 Beta, they are required to follow the closed beta agreement. This includes a confidentiality clause that prevents sharing any game details outside the dedicated feedback forum. Participants are also strictly prohibited from live streaming, recording, or distributing images or videos of the beta gameplay. Breaking these rules may lead to penalties or removal from the program.
If you violate the confidentiality terms of the beta, you’ll lose access not only to the current beta but also to any future ones. More severe cases of breach may result in stricter actions, such as copyright claims or permanent bans from participating in the game’s services. It’s crucial to adhere to the rules to maintain access and avoid potential penalties.

Trial

The FC 27 trial is a version exclusively for EA Play members, limited to 10 hours, and released seven days before the official launch.
EA Play is a paid subscription program that gives access to the following offers:
  • Early access to a selection of EA games;
  • Free unlimited access to a selection of games;
  • 10% discount on EA digital purchases;
  • Access to exclusive in-game rewards.
It’s a former name for EA Play. Other services had similar offers but different names:
  • EA Sports Season Ticket (2011–2015);
  • EA Access (2015-2020);
  • EA Play (2021-).
EA Play members get unlimited access to a curated collection of games called “The Play List” for as long as their subscription is active. This library includes recent EA titles, third-party games, downloadable content (DLC), and expansion packs.
The Play List is a growing library of EA’s best games for console and PC, available to download and play with an active EA Play membership. Some titles support offline play, but periodic reconnection to EA servers is required to verify your membership. Games are installed directly on your device for smooth performance and stay accessible as long as your subscription is active.
EA Play subscribers receive a 10% discount on all EA digital content, including full games, season passes, DLC, and special promotions. This offer also applies to digital FC 27 and FC Points, giving both Basic and Pro members savings on these purchases.

You don’t need to take any action. Your new Ultimate Team rewards will be waiting for you in your UT store every month, as long as you are using the account linked to your EA Play and EA Account. FC 27 rewards include recurring Ultimate Team Draft Tokens and vanity items for The Grounds. Availability and delivery may vary by reward.
Go to your Steam, Epic Games, EA app or console’s store and search by ‘EA Play’. Then, you just need to decide if you want a monthly or yearly subscription and make the payment.

To cancel EA Play on your Steam follow these steps:

To cancel EA Play on your Epic Games account, follow these steps:

If you cancel your EA Play membership, you can still access games from The Play List, enjoy discounts, and participate in ongoing Play First Trials until the subscription period ends. Keep in mind that monthly or annual fees are non-refundable, regardless of when you cancel. Any games or content bought with your membership discount will remain yours, but access to The Play List will be lost. For downloadable content (DLC) obtained for a free game, you will need to either purchase the base game separately or renew your membership to access that DLC again.
If you cancel EA Play, your membership benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that, you will lose access to any remaining Trial time and to games accessed through The Play List. Games purchased separately remain yours. EA Play Pro members will also lose access to the FC 27 EA Play Pro Edition when their subscription expires. However, separately purchased copies of FC 27 remain accessible.
EA Play has two tiers of membership:

  • Basic ($5.99/month, or $39.99/year)
    available for all platforms
  • Pro ($16.99/month, or $119.99/year)

EA Play Pro subscribers gain complimentary and immediate access to the Ultimate Edition of FC 27 starting from the early access launch. They are not required to purchase the game because this version is already the final edition without any restrictions (there is no timer in the Pro plan). It will remain accessible as long as they maintain an active subscription.

Editions

There are three editions:
  • Standard Edition

  • Ultimate+ Edition
The Legacy Edition was previously released for Nintendo Switch with limited feature updates. Since FC 25, EA has offered the regular Standard and Ultimate editions on Nintendo Switch instead.
Ultimate Edition includes seven days of early access, which means players can start playing from September 18, 2026.
On consoles, early access begins at midnight on 18 September according to the region associated with the console store. On PC, it begins simultaneously worldwide on 17 September at 23:00 UTC.

Crossplay

Yes. FC 27 lets players on supported PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms play with or against one another, provided they belong to the same platform generation.
FC 27 crossplay is available between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It is also available between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 do not support crossplay.

If you’ve already met them in-game, search for their name as usual. If you know them from playing other games, search for them in-game using:
  • their Origin name if they’re playing on PC;
  • their PlayStation Network Online ID if they’re on PlayStation;
  • their Gamertag if they’re on Xbox.
Once you’ve found your friends, add them to your list so you’ll see them there whenever they’re online.
Use the widget in the bottom right-hand corner to search for your friend by his platform or EA username as indicated by the on-screen button prompt. Once you have found your friend’s name, select him and choose the option to add him as a friend. Your friend should accept your request in the widget.
Assuming crossplay is enabled, you can select his name from your friend’s list in the widget and follow the button prompts to invite him to a match.
When you’re searching for a friend on the main menu widget, you will see a crossplay platform indicator beside his name. If your friend is on the same platform as you, the indicator will show the platform you’re on. If your friend is on a different platform, a different Indicator will be shown.
No, crossplay does not have any direct impact on the gameplay of FC 27.
When you enable cross-play and play within someone on another platform, that other platform may receive your platform’s ID and other information necessary to enable cross-play.

Carryover

It will start once FC 27 becomes available for EA Play subscribers or Ultimate Edition players.
Once you get into the new game, using the same account, you will be notified about the transferable items.
You can’t. If you haven’t played FC 26, you won’t be able to transfer your UT club profile or FC Points.
It was reset. It usually happens when you skip a title or your profile is corrupted. This is particularly frustrating for Founders, players who are playing since the first FC edition.
The first time you log in with the same account, the system recognizes you and you’ll see a pop-up that gives you the option to transfer your FC Points:

‘We’ve noticed you have an outstanding FC Points balance in FC 26. Would you like to transfer and convert it to FC Points in FC 27? Please note, this transfer is not reversible. Once you have transferred your Points balance you will only be able to access it within EAS FC 27. This is a one-time only transfer, you will not be able to transfer any more Points after this.’

You can accept it or delay that operation. This pop-up will give you the following options:
  • Yes, I want to transfer and convert my entire Points balance from FC 26 to FC 27.
  • No, please leave my FC 26 Points balance untouched.
  • I am not sure at this point, please prompt me again later.
From the moment you perform this transfer, you no longer will receive this message again and FC Points purchased in FC 26 will not be transferred to FC 27 Ultimate Team anymore.
You can transfer your FC Points from FC 26 to FC 27 using a one-time transfer option available until December 31, 2026. The earliest opportunity to transfer your FC Points is during the EA Play trial or when you first log in to FC 27 after acquiring the full game. Please note that it is not possible to transfer FC Points via the Web and Companion Apps
No. You can only transfer FC Points from FC 27 to FC 27 on the same console. You need to buy FC Points for the console you will use.

Open FC 27 and go to [Settings] > [Game Settings] > [Display Configuration]. In Fullscreen mode, select your preferred Screen Resolution and Refresh Rate. Borderless mode uses the Windows desktop resolution, so use Render Scale if you want to reduce the internal rendering resolution. You can also enable Dynamic Resolution Scaling and select a target frame rate to improve performance.
FC 27 offers a wide range of display settings designed to give players full control over visual performance and quality. You can choose which monitor runs the game using the new Active Monitor option, and select from different display modes: Borderless, Fullscreen, or Windowed. The new Aspect Ratio setting allows you to filter available resolutions by aspect ratio when using Fullscreen. Screen Resolution can be set manually in Fullscreen, while Borderless uses your operating system’s resolution. For Borderless, it is recommended to adjust resolution through the Render Scale setting.

In terms of frame rate and refresh options, you can configure the Refresh Rate in Fullscreen mode and set a Frame Rate Limit when VSync is off. VSync offers multiple options: Off, On (which matches your refresh rate), or fractional syncing at 50%, 33%, or 25% of your monitor’s refresh rate. For example, on a 240Hz monitor, these settings would cap FPS at 120, 80, or 60 respectively. Cutscene Performance can also be customized, either running at half or full frame rate, depending on your preferences and whether VSync is active.

Scaling tools include the new Render Scale setting, which adjusts the rendering resolution relative to your screen resolution. Lower values can improve performance with reduced sharpness, while higher values enhance visual quality at the cost of performance. Dynamic Resolution Scaling (DRS) automatically lowers resolution to maintain stable FPS, and you can define a target frame rate to help the system scale resolution dynamically and keep performance consistent.
FC 27 includes a wide range of graphic settings designed to let players balance visual quality and performance according to their hardware. Any changes to graphics settings will require a game restart to take effect.

The game offers new Graphics Presets, allowing you to choose from Auto, Low, Medium, High, or Ultra configurations. The Auto preset is optimized based on your system specs, while Low is aimed at minimum-spec PCs. Medium provides a balance between performance and visuals. High and Ultra are suited for more powerful hardware, with Ultra delivering the highest level of detail.

Under Fidelity Settings, you can adjust Rendering Quality, which affects the detail and lighting on players, stadiums, and objects. Strand Based Hair simulates individual hair strands for more realistic visuals. Cloth Quality controls how jerseys look and move during gameplay. Ambient Occlusion Quality enhances realism by adding natural shading and depth to the scene. All of these options impact CPU, GPU, and VRAM usage to varying degrees.

In the Stadium Settings section, you can configure Grass Quality, which affects pitch detail, and Crowd Quality, which determines the level of detail and animation for the audience.

There are also Visual Extras such as Motion Blur, which adds a slight blur effect to fast-moving objects.

Together, these settings give players full control over their visual experience, whether prioritizing high-end detail or smoother performance on lower-spec systems.
Start with the graphics preset recommended for your hardware. If performance is unstable, reduce Render Scale, Rendering Quality, Crowd Quality, Strand Based Hair and Cloth Quality. Dynamic Resolution Scaling can also help maintain a selected target frame rate. Close unnecessary background applications and update your graphics drivers before launching the game.

  • Use Alt-Tab to enable windowed mode.
  • To restore fullscreen, click on the window to make it active.
  • Then press Alt+Enter.
  • The game will flicker for a second, and fullscreen will be restored.
Frame rate limits extend beyond 120 FPS, with support for 144, 165, and 240 FPS.
FC 27 relies on both the CPU and GPU. The CPU handles gameplay simulation, animation and multiple players moving simultaneously, while the GPU determines rendering performance, resolution and visual quality. Which component becomes the main limitation depends on your hardware, display settings and target frame rate.
FC 27 requires a broadband internet connection for its online features. Connection stability, latency, jitter and packet loss have a greater effect on online gameplay than download speed alone. Whenever possible, use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi.

  1. From the main Football Club screen, navigate to [Settings];
  2. Select [Game Settings];
  3. Use R1/L1 or RB/LB to navigate between different setting groups.
Most settings changed in [Game Settings] are applied globally. However, some options are specific to particular game modes, while the Competitive preset overrides certain gameplay settings in competitive online matches.
If you want to change the game duration, follow these steps:
  1. From the main Football Club screen, navigate to [Settings];
  2. Select [Game Settings];
  3. Use R1/RB to select the [Match] tab;
  4. Scroll down to [Half Length] and change it.
If you want to see the player name, follow these steps:
  1. From the main Football Club screen, navigate to [Settings];
  2. Select [Game Settings];
  3. Press R1/RB to navigate to [Visual Settings];
  4. Set [Player Name Bar] to ‘Disabled’ or ‘Enabled + Overhead Info’;
  5. Set [Overhead Player Info] to ‘Player Name’.
If you want to hide the radar, follow these steps:
  1. From the main Football Club screen, navigate to [Settings];
  2. Select [Game Settings];
  3. Press R1/RB to navigate to [Visual Settings];
  4. Scroll down to [Radar] and change it to ‘Off’.
If you want to avoid injuries, follow these steps:
  1. From the main Football Club screen, navigate to [Settings];
  2. Select [Game Settings];
  3. Press R1/RB to navigate to the [Match] tab;
  4. Scroll down to [Injuries] and change it to ‘Off’.
If you want to turn off handball completely, follow these steps:
  1. From the main Football Club screen, navigate to [Settings];
  2. Select [Game Settings];
  3. Press R1/RB to navigate to the [Match] tab;
  4. Scroll down to [Handball] and change it to ‘Off’.

Ambassadors

An FC Ambassador is a high-profile footballer who helps EA promote EA Sports FC through official artwork, trailers, game screens, social media campaigns and other marketing activities.

There is no fixed number but it is usually around 6-16. The size of the ambassador group varies between editions and may include cover stars, established footballers, emerging talents and former players.
The first ambassadors are usually revealed alongside the new game in July. Additional players may appear in trailers, Deep Dives and other campaigns before release.
EA occasionally sends promotional packages to selected footballers, creators and partners before launch. Their contents vary between editions and may include a copy of the game, customised merchandise or gaming hardware.
These are the main three:

  • Ambassadors
    Players who were chosen to promote the game on UT pack covers, game mode screens and FC marketing campaigns. At least one of these players features on the cover.

  • Talents
    Other players can also promote the game in their social networks or other types of partnerships but don’t represent the game by itself.

  • Influencers
    Soundtrack artists or social network stars with who EA celebrates a partnership to use their image to promote the game.
It was one of the offers for pre-orders but it is no longer available.
