In the Game Settings, you can decide whether to display the Player Name Bar, the player indicator, or both during a match.

The Player Name Bar, also known as the Name Information Bar (NIB), is a customisable on screen interface element that displays useful information about the player currently under your control.

It helps you identify the controlled player and provides additional information, such as PlayStyles+ icons, Skill Moves Rating and footedness, depending on the options enabled in the settings.

Customization

You can individually turn several display elements on or off in the Player Name Bar through the game settings. By default, the available details are shown, but you can adjust them according to your preference.

This allows each player to create a cleaner or more informative HUD, depending on their playstyle and accessibility needs.

In FC 27, the Player Name Bar continues to include the following customisation options:

  • PlayStyles+ Icons
Shows the PlayStyles+ available to the currently controlled player. When a PlayStyle+ is activated during play, its icon can provide visual feedback.

  • Skill Moves Rating
Displays the player’s Skill Moves Rating, indicating how many skill move stars the player has.

  • Footedness Indicator
Shows whether the player is left footed or right footed, together with a visual five point scale representing their Weak Foot rating. The border identifies the preferred foot, while the boot icon indicates the Weak Foot level.
