Pre-Order

You can pre order in the biggest retail stores, like Amazon, Game and Best Buy, or directly on the console’s store.
Pre orders are accepted until the day before the launch date.
You can pre order FC 24 as soon as it becomes available. Pre orders started on July 13, 2023.
If your choice is to buy a physical copy of FC 24, we don’t need to explain how to do it: go to a retail store or order from the internet, insert the disc in your console, log in to your Origin account (or create a new one) and start playing it. On the other hand, if you opted in for the digital version of FC 24, things are slightly more tricky:

How to Buy a Digital Copy of FC 24
  1. Go to the Origin, Steam, Stadia, or console store of your region and search by ‘FC 24’;
  2. Choose one of the editions and make the payment;
  3. Log in to your Origin account and start playing it.
Remember to double-check the account you are using before placing an order. If you share your console with someone, the rewards will be assigned only to the account used to buy the game, and there is no way to change this. The account should also match the one you already have. Otherwise, you will lose your progress from previous editions, including FC Points balance.
If you pre order the physical version, the disc will be dispatched so you receive it on the launch date. The digital version is playable at midnight on the release day.
Contrary to the FC 24 trial, the full game is unlocked at midnight in your console’s region. This applies to both editions. That’s why Australian players start playing FC 24 first than European players.
When you pre order FC 24, you don’t pay any extra cost. You will pay the same as you would pay if you buy it in the release date.

No. You can order the game but you won’t get the free offers.
Pre-download is available for those who pre-ordered the game. Go to your console’s library to see when it will become available. If you are buying the game after the launch date, a download is immediately available.
No. If you are an EA Play subscriber and you already downloaded the trial, all you have to do is to download a small file on the launch date (or Ultimate Team early access date) to unlock the full game.
It depends on your platform and internet connection. Most likely, it will take one to two hours to download the full game. You can try some features (not Ultimate Team) before the download ends.

If you are downloading the trial, we strongly recommend waiting until the download is complete. If you play while downloading, you will be wasting part of your 10 hours limit.
You need around 100Gb of available storage space.

No. Ultimate Team mode is available in any edition.
No, FC 24 is not free to play. You have to buy it. In 2024 it will be made available for free on the EA Play catalogue and eventually on PlayStation Plus.
Yes.
If you share your console with someone, the rewards will be assigned only to the account used to buy the game. There is no way to change this.
If you are a FIFA fan you definitely should buy FC 24. However, you can expect a game with the usual issues, like slow servers and lots of bugs. On the other hand, if you are a casual player and you are looking for a football/soccer simulation video game, FC 24 is still a good choice. If you are not a football fan, then many other games can make you much happier than this one.

Prices

Price varies according to several factors, like platform, region and store. As a reference, the regular price for consoles is €109.99, $99.99, £99.99 (Ultimate Edition) and €79.99, $69.99, £69.99 (Standard Edition)..
Yes. For most of the countries, prices are higher when compared to FIFA 23.
If you don’t want to buy FC 24 on its launch date because of its high price, the best thing to do is to wait until Black Friday or the Holiday season.
FC 24 prices during Black Friday usually drop up to 50%.
Football Club isn’t free to play, so you will have to buy it unless you are an EA Play Pro subscriber. FC 24 may be available on EA Play, Steam, and other services at the end of its yearly cycle.
EA Play subscribers and returning users have access to a few discounts. However, if you really want to save, the best you can do is to follow our method.

Early Access

Ultimate Edition is available from September 22 at midnight. If you want to buy it, you will need to pre-order it and do it before the official release date. Those who pre-ordered FC 24 can go at any time to the console’s library to see when the pre-download becomes available. Usually, the Xbox download is made available several weeks before, while PlayStation users have to wait almost until the early access date.
Those who pre-ordered FC 24, can goto the console’s library and start the download when it becomes available.
The Ultimate Edition, which is digital-only, includes seven days of early access, FC Points, one untradeable TOTW item, player picks and other offers.
£99.99/€99.99/$109.99 for consoles and £89.99/€99.99/$99.99 for PC Origin/Steam. It represents 25% more than the standard edition. However, EA Play members and returning users can save 10% when pre-ordering this edition.
If you are an Ultimate Team fan and don’t mind spending a few dollars more, then this edition may sound interesting to you. It will give early access to the full game and other goodies like FC Points. Keep in mind that FUT mode is available as well in the Standard Edition.
Most of the content, including FC Points, is available to download on the early access release date.
The Webstart is scheduled to nine days before the official launch. However, only returning users have access to this early access. The other ones have to wait until the game release date.
As long as you meet the requirements, all you have to do is to access the FUT Web App website or update the app you have installed on your mobile device. Note that you’ll need to start on the web app before you can use the mobile app.
No. If you played FUT 23, the Web App early access will be unlocked to you. However, you will need to log in on your console or PC at least once before October 16 to continue using both apps.
Rewards are based on your account’s good standing in the game, along with your player history, engagement, and account status. This is why your rewards may be different from your friends. Besides that, returning user rewards are tied to your specific console account. So, if you switch platforms or create a new account on the same platform, your rewards won’t carry over.
There are several ways to add FC Points to your FUT Web App wallet during the early access: clicking on the top right green icon; adding them using the console/PC, or claiming a console code.
Login Verification is a mandatory step before you can access the FC 24 Web/Companion App. If you never activated it, just go to your Origin account and enable it. Then, just confirm that was sent to you. As simple as that.
You need to subscribe to one of the EA Play plans and download the trial from the console’s store.
A yearly subscription costs £19.99/€24.99/$29.99, while the price of a monthly subscription is £3.99/€3.99/$4.99. However, if you only want a subscription for the month in which the FC 24 trial is active, the price will be as low as one dollar. Payment will be automatically renewed every month or year depending on what membership duration you choose.
EA Play holders have free instant access, at any time and as long as they keep being subscribers of the service, to the selection of games ‘The Play List’. They can also download and play a selection of EA games, including FC 24 before they’re released. Discounts and in-game rewards are the other advantages of this program.
FC 24 EA Play early access will be unlocked on September 22, 2023, at around 4 pm UK time. The windows pre-load time depends on the platform. To play the early access, subscribers just need to go to the store, search by ‘Football Club 24’, select your edition and press ‘Trial’. PC, Steam and Epic Games players can also do it through the EA Play Hub App.
With EA Play trials, players are playing the real game for a limited time before they hit the stores. If they purchase FC 24 once it releases, they can pick up right where they left off – their progress and stats carry over. Saved games and achievements/trophies earned during the Early Access will unlock once they purchase and log into the EA Servers with the final version of the game.
If you want early access to the game without any limitation, you will have to subscribe to the Pro Plan. The full game will be yours as long as you have an active subscription and even if you haven’t bought the game. However, this plan is only available on the PC-Windows platform.

If you have two consoles from different generations, you can play up to 20 hours with a single EA Play subscription. All you have to do is to download the trial for both consoles using the same account.
Only players who are invited will be able to play the closed beta. No one can guarantee you an invitation but you can improve your chances to be selected if you update your contact preferences and your game tester program.
FC 24 Beta is expected in mid-August and will last for around 3 weeks. Usually, EA sends two batches of codes: the first on the second week of August and the other one two weeks later.
Each invitation includes access to the Kick-Off mode and Pro Clubs, Career Mode, Ultimate Team or VOLTA. All these game modes are unlocked in the last few days.
Players have to be at least 18 years old and their console’s account must be from the UK or North America. They also must have a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S console, as well as an internet connection and an active subscription to either Xbox Live or PS Plus, depending on which platform they play. To be selected, they must have played FIFA 23 regularly.
By accepting the invitation, players are obliged to fulfil the agreement of the closed beta, which includes a confidentiality term. It forces the participants to not divulge any information regarding the game outside of the forum created for this purpose. Live streaming and image capturing of Closed Beta gameplay are against the rules.
Assuming you have received an invitation with a code, all you need to do is to go to your console’s store and use that code to start the download: ‘redeem codes’ for PlayStation; or ‘use code’ for Xbox.
You need to sign up for the EA playtesting program, apply for a specific session and wait for an invitation. For more details, read our step-by-step description published above.
Yes, it is. Always double-check if the site you are accessing starts with www.ea.com before inserting any credentials.
Selected players will receive an email one week before the session. In the case of FC 24, playtests occur from May to July.
Increase your chances by signing up for as many Playtest dates as you are available. Always be honest with your answers, and keep an eye on your inbox. EA is on the lookout for players of all abilities, genders, experiences, and backgrounds. You don’t need to be an expert or even a regular gamer. They want feedback from everyone.
Yes. Remote playtests are also available, so you can participate from the comfort of your own home.
If you are selected for a Playtest but can no longer attend, simply reply to the selection email with the date and time of your Playtest.

Beta

It is expected to go out on August 10 and lasts for around three weeks.
You need to be invited and dowload the game.
You can only play the game modes that are unlocked to you. Still, even if you haven’t been selected to test UT, you will have a chance to try it in the last week when all game modes are released for everyone (from August 23).
If you get invited, most likely it will be for the game modes you play most. However, this doesn’t happen all the time.
It’s only available in English. That’s one of the reasons why only players from countries in which English is the native language are invited.
The file you have to download is 39 to 42 Gb, no matter the game modes for which you have been selected.
No. Generally speaking, the players and ratings used in the FC24 Closed Beta are the ones from FIFA 23. Even if you find differences, it doesn’t mean that those ratings will be used on the final game release.
No progress made on the FC 24 Beta carries over to the final game. As soon as the final version is released, everything is reset.
For the players, it’s their first chance to play the new title but for EA it’s much more than that. FC 24 is very complex. It joins several game modes together, that have been developed over the years. There are several different teams responsible for developing determined projects and areas of the game that might or might not be integrated into the final product according to deadlines, the work’s quality and other economic and strategic factors. This means that these teams are not always working for the next title.

The whole project must be exhaustively tested out for them to make sure it works correctly. That’s why Electronic Arts usually invite a group of volunteers to test the game. After the adjustments regarding the first feedback period are made, the Alpha version is released. The game’s official release occurs at the end of September and always comes along with an update that’s supposed to fix the anomalies detected after the disks are printed out. Between one thing and the other, there’s the Beta.
To receive a code, you need to have been selected. Pay attention to your mailbox to see if you were invited. Only selected players can play the Beta.
Only players who were invited will be able to play the FC24 Beta. EA will send two batches of codes: the first on the second week of August, right before the Beta release date, and the other one two weeks later. Usually, it is available to preload for beta testers 24 hours before the opening date.
Follow these two simple steps:

Update Your Contact Preferences +
This will inform EA that you are available to receive emails from them and eventually the FC 24 Beta invitation

  1. Go to the EA website;
  2. Click in the top-right avatar icon and login into your account;
  3. Select [Account Settings];
  4. Go to [Email Preferences] and check the box ‘Yes, email me about products, news, events and promotions consistent with EA Privacy and Cookie Policy’;
  5. Confirm that FIFA 23 and Ultimate Team are all checked on the [Preferred Games] box (if you can’t see them, click in [Add More]);
  6. Check your [Preferred Platforms];
  7. Click on the [Update] button at the bottom of the page.

Update Your Game Tester Program +
This will inform EA that you are available to test FC and other games

  1. After updating your contact preferences, click in the [Community Playtesting] button;
  2. Follow the instructions to sign up.
There is not much more you can do. Your odds aren’t higher if you live close to EA offices, played thousands of FIFA 23 matches or are a professional player. Game advisors cannot authorize and provide email invites if you did not receive one. Be aware that updating your contact preferences and your game test program may help but does not guarantee you an invite.
Before anything else you need to be invited. The email sent to you includes a unique Beta code that you will use to download the game.

PlayStation
  1. Select the PlayStation Store icon from the home screen;
  2. Select [More] and then [Redeem Code];
  3. Select [Account Settings];
  4. Enter the 12-character code and start the download.
Xbox
  1. Go to [Games] under [Store];
  2. Select [More] and then [Redeem Code];
  3. Select [Use a Code] and sign in if prompted;
  4. Enter the 25-character code and start the download.
You need a direct invite to try out the FC 24 Beta. You cannot buy it from someone. A Beta code is created just for a specific player and it can’t be transferred or shared with another player. It won’t work in other accounts. If you found invitations for sale, you should know that they are not legit because invitations are always associated with the Origin account of the owner.
Stay alert to your mailbox, the one you use for your EA account, to see if you were invited or not. Pay attention to all account email folders, including spam. If you’ve changed your email address or no longer have access to the one you used to create your account, swap emails from one account to another.

EA sends all Beta communication from [email protected]. Add this address as a safe sender to receive emails. Check your spam, junk, or social folder for any missed email messages from [email protected]. Don’t trust any emails sent from a different domain or ever share your credentials.
By accepting the invitation, players are obliged to fulfil the agreement of the closed beta, which includes a confidentiality term. It forces the participants to not divulge any information regarding the game outside of the forum created for this purpose. Live streaming and image capturing of Closed Beta gameplay are against the rules.
If you don’t fulfil the confidentiality term, you will lose access to the current beta and to any other, that’s released afterwards. Other measures can be taken for more serious cases, like copyright claims and permanent bans.

Trial

The FC 24 trial is a version exclusively for EA Play members, limited to 10 hours, and released four days before the official launch.
EA Play is a paid subscription program that gives access to the following offers:
  • Early access to a selection of EA games;
  • Free unlimited access to a selection of games;
  • 10% discount on EA digital purchases;
  • Access to exclusive in-game rewards.
It’s a former name for EA Play. Other services had similar offers but different names:
  • Season Ticker (2011-2015);
  • EA Access (2015-2020);
  • EA Access (2021-).
EA Play holders have free instant access, at any time and as long as they keep being subscribers of the service, to the selection of games ‘The Play List’. It features a selection of the latest EA games, as well as third-party games, DLCs and expansion packs.
The Play List is a growing collection of full EA’s best games for consoles and PC that you can download and play with an active EA Play membership. You can play some titles offline, but you’ll need to periodically reconnect to EA to verify that you’re still a member. The games are downloaded straight to the system to ensure the best possible performance and can stay there as long as you have your EA Play membership.
EA Play subscribers get 10% off on any EA digital content, including full games, season passes, DLC, sales and promotions. It means that digital FC 24 and FC Points are cheaper for EA Play holders (both Basic and Pro plans).

In our opinion, if you are a fan of EA games, you should subscribe to EA Play. You will be saving when buying EA Sports FC 24 and have access to the trial. If you usually buy FC Points, it will be paid off very quickly. The only thing that we don’t think is interesting is the in-game rewards.
Yes, you don’t need EA Play to play FC 24. However, as an EA Play subscriber you get early access, FC Points discounts and exclusive in-game rewards.
You have two options: play the trial before the launch date; wait until it becomes available on The Play List.
FC 24 is expected to be added to The Play List and free to play to all EA Play members in May 2024.
You are allowed to play for up to 10 hours. Follow the method described on this page to extend the timer to 20 hours.

  • Navigate to [Users and Accounts];
  • Select [Account];
  • Select [Payment and Subscriptions];>
  • Navigate to [Subscriptions];
  • Choose ‘EA Play’ and select [Turn Off Auto-Renew]
To cancel EA Play on your PlayStation 4 follow these steps:
  • Open your console and log in to your account linked to the EA Play you want to cancel;
  • Open the [Settings] menu;
  • Navigate to [Accounts Management];
  • Choose [Account Information];
  • Select [PlayStation Subscriptions];>
  • Choose ‘EA Play’ and select [Turn Off Auto-Renew]
To cancel EA Play on your Xbox follow these steps:
  • Log in to the Microsoft account linked with your Xbox;
  • Navigate to the [Services] menu and go to ‘EA Play’;
  • Select the button labeled [Manage];
  • Turn off [Auto-Renew]
  • Confirm your choice by selecting [Confirm Cancellation].
To cancel EA Play on your Origin follow these steps:
  • Use a browser or the Origin application to log in to your Steam account;
  • From the navigation bar select [EA Account and Billing];
  • Choose [EA Play];
  • Click in ‘Cancel my Membership’.
To cancel EA Play on your Steam follow these steps:
  • Use a browser or the Steam application to log in to your Steam account;
  • Navigate to the [Recurring Subscriptions] menu and go to ‘EA Play’;
  • Choose [Cancel my Subscription]
  • Confirm your choice by clicking [Apply].
If you cancel, you’ll be able to continue to play The Play List games, use the discount and jump into any available Play First Trials until your membership expires. There are no refunds for either monthly or yearly membership fees regardless of when you cancel. When cancelling, you will maintain any games or content you bought with your membership discount. However, you will lose access to The Play List. If you bought DLC specifically for a free game, you will need to either purchase the associated base game separately or renew your membership to access your DLC.
For the EA Play Basic plan:
  • FC 24 trial will remain available until your membership expires or the game goes out;
  • FC 24 full game will be yours as long as you buy it;
  • FC 24 free to play will remain live while you have an active subscription.
For the EA Play Pro plan:
  • FC 24 trial is not available for Pro since you have access to the full game;
  • FC 24 full game will be yours as long as you have an active subscription.;
  • FC 24 free to play will remain live while you have an active subscription.
EA Play has two tiers of membership:

  • Basic ($4.99/month or $29.99/year)
    available for all platforms
  • Pro ($14.99/month or $99.99/year)
    Only available for Origin.
EA Play Pro subscribers get free and instant access to the Ultimate Edition of FC 24 right from the early access start time. They don’t need to buy the game since this is already a final version without any limitation (there is no timer in the Pro plan). It will be theirs as long as they have an active subscription.

Yes. EA Play is available to members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass for PC as part of their membership benefits at no additional cost.
The membership is attached to Gamertag / PSN ID, so players can use their account on any console where they’ve logged in. When an Xbox/PlayStation is designated as a home console, anyone with an account that uses that console can download, install and play The Play List games through that membership. Trials of new EA games and a 10% member discount will only be accessible through the specific account.

If you share your console with someone, the rewards will be assigned only to the account used to buy the game. This cannot be changed.
When you start FC 24 for the first time (not counting with the Trial or Web App), go to the UT store and your offers will be there. Keep in mind that some offers are only delivered later.
Only those who have pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition before August 22, receive an untradeable Hero player item. This offer is only delivered on November 27.
No. Weekly UT Packs are no anymore one of the Standard or Ultimate Edition offers.
Regular price is $99,99 but you can save 30% following our method.
If you usually don’t play UT, then you definitely shouldn’t buy the most expensive edition. On other hand, it may be worth it if you want to take advantage of the early access and use FC Points to boost your team.
No. It isn’t available any option to upgrade. However, you can cancel your Standard Edition pre-order and replace it with the Ultimate Edition.
Yes. All game modes, including Ultimate Team, are available in both Standard and Ultimate editions.
Yes, it is. Ultimate Edition is not available on disc.
Yes, you can buy Ultimate Edition at any time but you lose the pre-order offers if you buy it after the release date.

An Ambassador is a very popular player used by EA to promote their game. Ambassadors’ images feature on UT pack covers, game mode screens, FC marketing campaigns and eventually on the FC cover.

Usually, each FIFA/FC features from 3 to 16 ambassadors, but in FC 24 it has more than 30 athletes It may include former players.
The first ambassadors are announced in mid-July when the new title is revealed.
